Fortunately, I am. I have very good taste, and I am bringing my good taste - and opinions - to this thread, on what I think would be best for femhroth. However, I wasn't aware personal attacks were allowed, nor was I aware this had anything to do with female hrothgar. I'm sure you'll get a decent amount of likes, unfortunately this isn't reddit.

I mean, if you already have the options for multiple good looking male/female races in FFXIV already, I don't see the problem in letting a niche playerbase get something as well (already got half of it with Hrothgar so far). The males are already bestial in appearance (especially with their faces), so logically SE has to do the same for the female Hrothgars (bestial face)? If female Hrothgar come out and their face is more human than the males, then I'll be disappointed.

With the current face options the males have, I can see the females have similar options as well: Lion, Tiger(?), Coeurl and Ronso. If SE do not fix the hairstyles for Hrothgar, chances are the lion face could be locked with a bald and not bald hairstyle option.

And I’m over here just desperate for more than one. Which would accumulate to Lala or Hroth.

Yeah, I agree with this. There’s been enough good looking races in the game. It’s time for SE to bring in at least one beast-like female character.. and not just a Miqo’te but with minor differences.

I wish they just made the Viera retain their XII beast-like appearance to be honest.

That's really what it comes down to. "I don't like it so everyone doesn't like it!" Ignoring the fact that the very nature of Hrothgar was niche for the niche to round our a roster Yoshi P said was lacking. It's normal and good if there are choices that you don't like. That means there are a variety of choices to make for different people.

Honestly same, but then they probably wouldn't be able to wear gloves and boots (since they have crazy claw hands and rabbit feet) and people are still disappointed by the lack of hats they can wear :(

If instead we get monster-women whose design is such a turn off that they're about as unpopular as WoW's mecha gnomes, then that is objectively a waste of resources that won't make back the money that was spent to create them...

It only takes a pair of eyes to compare Ronso (the originals) and Hrothgar to see that Hrothgar are inferior in many ways. Especially the Kimahri face. They are way too bulky and for some reason, they have a hunchback despite not having one in FFX. Except the old man ronso who appears in 2 cutscenes, at most.

Imagine if they had made their builds similar to Highlander instead and without all the off-putting factors like the hunch, lack of hair, and Roe proportions. Sounds like something a lot of people might take interest in, but instead they went the "niche" direction and reaped the benefits of that instead, of which there were very little besides 2 years of complaining and demands to fix the race. Even Orcs can stand up straight nowadays. Why not Hrothgar as well?

Why should we repeat bad design choices that the community is actively rejecting and being put off by?.

Even if I think Hrothgar males look good over all, I remember how many people were upset about getting them instead of a playable version of LUPIN for this reason. Hell, I remember YP answering a player asking if they could make Hrothgar skinny earlier this year ... people STILL don't like the body even if they want to play a beast dude.

This is also something people like to overlook.
"I don't want them to look like WAIFUS (Aka, attractive to the general population)! I want MY kink represented! ( AKA .. Step on me, giant muscle mommy!)" It's all very ... gross to me.

Something can be unique without being condemned to be less popular than Femroe. I don't even see how hunched back is a hill ANYONE is willing to die on, people don't even like the males having that stupid hunch.

But ehh ... I'm the person who started to post furry art here cause of how few people made Hrothgal art, and even I accept that the devs are telling us to expect Mithra x Viera, and that's fine with me. Mural/ concept art Hrothgal looks like something that could be popular (about 50K is where I think the "Popular" line is), if only because there's bound to be a good chunk of Miqote who would like to be "slightly more furry" like Mithra but pretty/ tall like Viera.

Why isn't it finished? They started this before Shadowbringers, and yet Male Viera got finished first.
We didnt fight a Female Hrothgar Queen, we fought a FemRoe Queen in Bozja.
This idea would be so much more popular and make money...but lets not finish it or release it.

You hold onto this so faithfully, even though this narrative crumbles several times.

You know what else is a fact? That a Beast Race should look like a Beast on Both Genders. Not just like the Males, but Females as well.

Personally I don't think Hrothgar men look particularly 'bestial' or intimidating. From what I've seen, most people playing one seem to use the same face - the one Runar uses which is arguably the most 'cuddly'.

I think it'd fitting for Hrothgar women to be slim, elegant and graceful. I'll likely make one of my retainers into a Hrothgar woman and design her to look like my cat, so I'm hoping that there's more 'elegant' than 'bestial' at play when it comes to their aesthetics.

Again we seem to be under the assumption that one cannot be inhuman and elegant at the same time...

Out of curiosty, where are you looking? Both in-game and on the forums, Magnus's angular lion face is easily the one I see the most frequent regardless of what clan people pick.

I think it's funny that it's a fetish choice and wrong when it's not a "waifu" frame, but implying that the reason they don't want whatever model is because THEY don't find it sexually attractive? :confused:

Begging for any sort of concept art to end this. Then we can fight over heights like the m viera thread.

You don't have to be attracted to a woman to know when a woman is attractive or looks good in general.

Lol, you've said this before, and once again Ill point out your missing the point of a "Beastal Face"
We're asking for them to have Animal Faces. The option 2 Runar face, looks like a Beast. BAM. Thats exactly whats asked for. Not some Savage or Intimidating Face.

Id like a strong tall body, but honestly Ive said it before; this wouldnt be the end of the road, its what I personally want, but It wouldnt kill the Race.
The Hrothgals being more Slim & slender would be fine, especially to fit a more Elegant and Graceful look. Im all for that matter of fact.
But when it comes to the face, it 'should' be an Animal Face. Making them look human is how your gonna kill it. The body, Im sure most of us are abit more open minded to.

On topic: while I don't really have a horse in this race, eh... I'd be nice to have an actual "beastly" looking race for the sake of variance. Hrothgar should have looked like the Ronso in FFX to begin with, and Viera should have had the weird feet. We already have "sexy" cats or w/e covered, so bring in the beasts, imo.

Even if it's sarcasm, i agree. Half Elezen would be a very cost effective way to introduce a new sub race option for Elezen players that want more traditional proportions while allowing those that want to keep FFXIV Elezen as unique as they are in regards to Elves in other media.

Yup.
Aesthetics/ general appeal are a thing to. Even most all furries who give their fursona paw beans and digitigrade legs (more animal features than Hrothgar) don't make them hunched over, as that just looks baaad.

There are no options for new sub races that are cost efficient. In order to add one one would need to create a new character creator with the ability to have more than 2 sub races as the existing one does not have that capability.

There's been major push from the RP community on ESO to let werewolf form be a perm toggle. They're extremely ugly, but it's something some have a desire for.

M Hrothgar also have poses to stand upright, so they only hunch in movement and it compliments their move set. I don't see why both camps can't be satisfied in the same way with F Hrothgar (I would be in the straight back squad). It has already be mentioned that Hrothgar can be cute and fierce with the right customization set, so the argument that "They'll be ugly!!! Not a single person ever will play them!!!" is kinda missing the point that we can all get these.

We can have elegant poses to choose from but a catlike run animation. We can have beastly faces and more elegant Khajiit faces. We can have both.

A female Tauren druid was one of the first characters I ever made in WoW at launch. She was adorable. D: Granted, they aren't so hunched as the males, but still. D:
