When the difference between 2 jobs that are equally geared or the one underperforming is actually better geared and doing half the damage of a BRD as a BLM even with Foe Req being maintained as much as Mana allows. Then their is a problem. Especially if DPS checks are getting repeatably failed. You'd be surprised how many people are actually open to suggestion when it comes to fixing up their rotations. One rather memorable such event was teaching a Black Mage in AV how to do a proper rotation instead of just spamming Fire III as he had been doing.Quote:

I defiantly agree that a parser is needed if they want strict dps checks. Even a personal parser. Though being able to see what someone else is putting out is definately better for getting a rough idea of where you stand.
No everyone doesn't have to min max like the nay sayers think, but if someone is putting out 1/3 of the dps they should be, they and the rest of the group deserve to know. This is a team effort and most teams are failing this. -

OP, you're ranting for nothing.
Even if they had a built in DPS meter, and even if you "required" 700 DPS to join your PF... that still wouldn't stop Bads from joining your party. People will lie, just like they lie about having cleared content, and then that "This is the first time for one of the members..." pops up.
When you use PF (or DF for that matter), you're rolling the dice. The only thing you can definitely require is ilvl, and even that can be circumvented by putting on accessories that don't match your job if they have them. The only way you're going to get what you want is by using FC members or a static. -

I do think most go into DF expecting the players to at least make an effort to clearing the content instead of preventing everyone else from clearing.
