There is nothing wrong with using FFLogs on the forums. Parsers are only forbidden to be used as means of harassment in game.

Of course ninki doesn't degrade, just like chakra stacks and most other resources for other jobs except for self buffs. Speaking of buffs, SAM loses 2 that are very similar to greased lightning when taken together. The guy doesn't know what he's talking about, he probably didn't even unlock the job. And of course he doesn't know how NIN works at all since NIN is the melee job less affected by boss jumps.
Side note: SE should give all players a chance to parse, even if only for personal dps. Or either give it to all or not allow at all.
But bettet give personal dps parsers away on the mog station, when you buy a mount or minion, but with better Hud and stability than ACT. So console players and players on over worked PC's can use them too. Maybe even get more to want to use the more stable and prettier "personal" (only shows your dps) parser from the mog station, over the ACT, which could be used less and less.. or only for special occasions.
But atm SE is just running from the problem than actually adressing it. SSS is not really a solution.., it's as useful as dummies are compared to real fights.
There's a huge difference between keeping Chakra, and keeping Greased Lightning.
Or keeping Ninki, and losing Huton (though admittedly you can easily pop this back on).
The point I was trying to make is, other melee are severely punished during downtime, while SAMs Sen AND Kenki are untouched. Am I supposed to believe a lack of utility allows jobs to greatly surpass others in the same role?
At worst, if you lose GL, you pop Perfect and you're back in nearly full form in 3 GCD's, or thanks to form shift you go through a quickly ramping 7 GCD window to get back to Max power.
Or time Earth Riddle and probably won't lose GL3 in the first place.
Ninja? Precast Huton when it hits around 15 seconds and your good to go. Or use Huton asap after the boss jumps and sit down and sip some tea, because no break is so long you'll lose that 70 second buff.
When it comes to ramping, SAM has none of the above options. Meikyo is a huuuuuge dps loss to use on Shifu+Jinpu, and when buffs fall off when Sen are active, you still need to make a judgement call based on what your Kinky looks like post Meditation, how many sen are up, how quickly you can dump excess Kinky so you don't overfill, etc.
