Welp, no emote for me. Was told not to worry about the confirmation not being on the receipt and everything. Why do I listen to people?
This is exactly what happened to me. I reached out to support, they said the promo was applied in the first conversation directly after the order and then got told tonight that "they can't find an account with your email address". Despite the fact I was literally on my account page looking at the email and everything. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I'm not getting the pizza emote.
I asked for a transcript of my chats, so I may post them later if this emote doesn't show up. Just so everyone can see they lied to my face.
Also... it took them 5 hours to deliver a pizza to me. The pizza place I ordered from felt so guilty, they upgraded my pizza to a large and added a coke and a cookie for free. GrubHub is absolute bollocks and you bet I'm never using them again.
Note that all my receipts did not mention the promo in any way and I still got the emote.. so I don't think this has any bearing.
Their service is HORRIBLE. Every order I made ended up soggy and lukewarm through no fault of the places the food was from. The food was ready for pickup on time and probably was fine.. it then took 45 minutes to over an hour and half for the food to be picked up and delivered. Considering the first place I ordered from is literally 3 miles from my house.. that's just bad.... YES I could have just gone and got it myself but that wouldn't have gotten me an emote.
What Krokov said. Sadly it comes down to the company doing the promotion not square.
Spent about $30. No code. Probably a 2002 error right?
One irritant on top of another.
I'm beyond furious with this situation. I put in an order on the 10th, applied the promo code and have received... nothing. Called Grubhub yesterday and was told that there's NO promo code attached to my order at all, despite the fact that when I put the order in, and applied the promo code, it said "promo code applied" in green letters. :|
SE, this is ridiculous. I can't believe you would partner up with someone who has this level of poor customer service and poor functionality.
I made my order on the 13th and still have yet to get my code this is very frustrating if SE or Gruhub won't provide a code and now Im being told stuff like they will come two weeks from now when the release of codes are suppose to end after the 20th if SE or Grubhub won't follow through and provide a code I will request a refund off Grubhub for not following through on their promotion this is just sloppy on their part.
How about all of us who live outside areas grubhub even exists? Do we just never get /pizza? As a completionist this is really annoying. I even bought the cookbook half because I thought the emote would come with it based on all the other books having ingame rewards
Still not got mine been trying to find how to contact grubhub anyone have a link?
There you go hopefuly you will have luck had to call and give them a complaint they told me to try and call them tomorrow I requested a ticket number just in case they try anything this whole thing was a hot mess and I don't blame SE since a lot of the fault is on Grubhub and their trash system.

The problem is also with Square Enix, actually. As I mentioned in my earlier post, the terms & conditions on Square Enix's campaign page regarding the event do not align with the terms & conditions on Grubhub's web site page with their own promo information. The very first line of Grubhub's promo page states that there were limited quantities that would be distributed on first come, first-served basis.
Square Enix's lodestone announcement conveniently omitted this detail. They made it sound like only the first 20,000 people would get an additional benefit of free delivery. No where on their lodestone page did they mention that there were limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis, from Grubhub.
I have continued replying to Square Enix regarding this matter. The third SE rep who wrote me back, Claudia, admitted that the promotion was only for 20,000 of the emotes, for just the 20,000 first shoppers when the promotion began. I got this message today 12 12:01 pm EST.
As for Grubhub's distribution, it's all over the place and does not line up with what Claudia said. Grubhub appears to be treating it like a raffle; random people got the code, some who ordered in the first five minutes of the promo and some who ordered in the last hour of the promo. It really is totally random.
Basically, Square Enix and Grubhub conned us all into participating in a raffle. Each raffle ticket was a Grubhub order of $15+ before fees/taxes. There were only 20,000 winners. Anyone you see showing off their pizza emote is one of the ones blessed by RNGesus at GrubHub.
I am surprised that Square Enix is going along with this. For me, personally, as a player and consumer, it tarnishes their reputation, and, as I probably mentioned earlier, I feel extremely unlikely to take part in any future crossover campaigns regarding in-game items. I still feel really stupid / dumb / conned.
All I can do now is try to learn from it, warn other players anytime a campaign comes around again, and move on with my life. It's not a big deal. It's just a stupid emote and a couple of abysmal food delivery orders from a company I will never, ever use again. But I do lament the breaking down of trust across society in general. Little things like this add up. The upside is that it's probably going to make my savings account add up, too, moving forward, as I spend less and less since businesses are becoming more and more shady.
The Lodestone page makes it sound this way. The Grubhub page suggests otherwise. The email I received from Square Enix says otherwise.
I, too, believed the Lodestone page when I read it, and looooooook at meeee noooooww. lol. Like I said. Learning has occurred. Do not trust the lodestone info campaigns moving forward. Got it.
Even if they eventually do add it in the mogstation, I would not buy it. My spouse and I have already spent $91 (2 orders) in order to get this code. We didn't realize it was a scam/raffle. We never would have used Grubhub otherwise. I'm literally unwilling to pay a single cent more towards getting this pizza emote, and I personally hope it doesn't show up in the mogstore for years. If they put it in the mogstore now, after screwing over hundreds or maybe even thousands of players, for all I know, it would be like a whole jar of salt poured into the wound. (Sorry Yuyushuu. But let me tell you, you really lucked out not being able to partake in this scam.)

Found this on Reddit, apparently, it's a lottery... May the odds ever be in your favor lmao
This. We also ordered twice trying to get this to work, and nothing. Tickets to SE only resulted in blaming Grubhub, and talking to them gets you nowhere fast. I think both parties severely dropped the ball on this one, and I'm incredibly disappointed. I'm rather new to FFXIV and this was my first promo experience. Not interested in participating in other. I can't justify buying this off the mogstation, if that's where it ends up, after wasting $ on grubhub orders I didn't want in the first place.
What a scam... the terms and conditions clearly say 1st come, 1st served. I ordered on the very first day, minutes after the offer started, got the free delivery (which is the only proof I have that the promo code did get applied) and still haven't got anything. Yet people who ordered days later have got it, including a guy on reddit claiming they had got their 13/15 codes...
All I learned from this is never trust Square enix on promo event emotes systems look like they do not care either judging by what I learn looking into this pizza emote fiasco and then checking out topics on the butter fingers one. Kinda disappointing to see this happen.
Like I said earlier, guys, if you put it on a credit card just dispute it. I got all my money back from a Call of Duty in-game item collab that GrubHub never gave me after spending $70+.
The "limited supply/lottery distribution" needed to be front and center on the Lodestone, not on a second page; as well as GrubHub with the small text at the bottom of the page. I wouldn't have bothered ordering from them if the circumstances of the code distributions were more apparent.
Yeah, you just go ahead and put it in game directly now since y'all were misleading.Quote:
"It may be possible to obtain this item via other means in the future."
This promotion sucks and feels like a con.
Players spent good money trying to get an emote and it was not disclosed that GrubHub would perform a lottery. I feel like SquareEnix should allow those that did not receive the emote to send in their GrubHub receipts during the promotion period and honor them out of good faith.
If it makes you all feel better I got the Emote now in game and it makes you look like a corporate sellout in a pizza commercial.

For anyone else that hasn't received theirs or was told they won't, since it was not stated in the guidelines, grub hub will refund your full order it appears. They refunded mine today (full refund 48$)after I explained why I even used the service, which comes out of grub hubs pocket not the restaurants at least. I'd recommend others call in to state their case too for that matter if the concern is there, at least a bit of peace of mind as to not be ripped off/scammed out of it by them. I'd love to say "hopefully it sends a msg to them" but given how large they are, refunds would barely make any dent in their earnings.
So sadly I'm not receiving them emote since I guess the promotion is expired or so they said even though I have the receipt to prove I ordered during that time and made sure by calling CS to make sure my code was applied that day. Such a scam D;. Guess grubhub will give me back the delivery money which is just dumb imo. which is a total of 49 cents. Thanks grubhub you really know how resolve this
I ordered during the promotion time and haven't gotten it yet. I contacted GH customer service who said my order looked valid and I should receive it later today. Haven't gotten it yet but hope I get it soon.
This whole promotion has not been handled correctly by either side. For starters the emote is a digital item, if they intended to put limits on it, it should have been clearly displayed at the start to begin with. secondly if grubhub intended to put it behind a lottery system, both SE and GH should have put this info front and center instead of hiding it like it appears was done. This whole thing from what i have seen and read just screams scam and frankly i do not want my money back. I want what was promised at the start. The fact some got the emote and ordered days later, and i ordered less than 24 hours after the start and got nothing has really made me angry with both parties. As some have stated, i think at this point if that emote is put up i will NEVER look at trying to get it, i think they should just hand it out for free or give those affected the ability to get what was promised by some means now. They clearly have scammed people out of money, both sides, whether intentionally or not.
Wonder what the response will be, pizza for all?
Well, apparently one of the prior associates I spoke with refunded my order, making me ineligible for the emote even if it were to come. I somewhat doubt Square will do anything about this, but here's to hoping.
Paid an overpriced $40 for delivery of 2 subs from Jersey Mike's, applied Endwalker code, never got any sort of confirmation the code was applied, no code in the mail. Worst promotion yet.
I made my purchase within hours of the promo I got to use the code fully even got free delivery.. nothing on my receipt proof I used the code. I 110% did.
I've been though so many customer service agents.. I'm at my wits end. One told me I had to make TWO purchases of $15 ($30 total) to get the emote. One told me I waited too long (was purchased within hours hence paid delivery). One didn't believe me that I used it cause he couldn't see it on my receipt but couldn't explain the +$5.99 credit for delivery on the purchase. One told me it was a lottery to get the emote and I just wasn't lucky...
Square Enix please help us here. Please. I don't need my money back.. Heck I'd be happy to buy the emote on MOG station in a few months if I HAD to. I wouldn't be thrilled about it but that would be more acceptable then what ever the heck is going on at Grub Hub.
still struggling my self, keep getting run around from chat support
