It doesn't even roll to see which recruits it is waiting until you actually dismiss and see the next one. It can even be the same recruit you just dismissed, or one that was in your squad and you removed to accept the current one.

I am curious but does the recuitment papers stack as more recuits join or are we only allowed to get 1 recuitment at a time?

Nice, since it seems you can have a max of 5 of the same race/gender. I will work on 5 lovely female Miqo'te and 3 good looking male Miqo'te. After all, it's not just about beating the Garleans, it's about looking damned fine while you do it...

I don't know if there is an upper limit, but you can stack several. Maximum I ever had in waiting was 3 or 4 I think.
The only problem is, you can't view them until you accept or refuse the first one, so there really is no point in letting them stack up :/

I wonder if recruits of the same race will group up with each other in their downtime? Because I remember seeing a post in reddit showing how all the Roes stayed together while the non-roes where on the other end.

I have 3 male Au Ra and they're together most of the time, especially whilst training and they seem to ignore the female Elezen

It happens so often that I head cannon that they stick together since Au Ra are new and discriminated against (somewhat) in Eorzea.

I had a cool thought!

What if they edit our squadron in to be our backup whenever we watch 8/24man cutscenes that usually have other players? Like, standins for them in the cutscene :D

Oh god, don't get me started on headcanon, I already have an entire backstory for all of my squad members and who I ship them with and why some get kicked out and all that..xD
Hastaloeya and Callous Steed are definitely a couple! If they want to hide it so badly, they should probably stop grinning at each other that way or stop nearly touching everytime they are doing their squats..:rolleyes:

On that matter, Hroch and Callous Steed were really criminals who just tried to use the squadron as a camouflage for their crimes, as evident by their power-thirsty grin by the window,
how they sometimes hid together to whisper to each other with no other members around, and secret linkpearl conversations while having an evil look on their face. So I kicked them out (for real). Since then, Hastaloeya just keeps staring at the ground unpleased..SO A COUPLE >.>

Finally got my first joke recruit today (the snowman lala) but I can't decide if I should take him :x
I really like my current members (having a backstory for each of them definitely made me way too attached already, considering they don't even have dialouge yet xD) and I can't make up my mind if I should/who to kick out.

after carefully sculpting my almost full-lala troupe, one got it's first ability.... "when all members of your squad are different races..."

I get nearly nothing but healers, my first 10+/- recruits were all conjurers. I nearly had my entire log finished before I got a dps. And still I get more cons than anything. RNG is a pain much of the time.

I am glad they give us the option to swap out and change jobs at least, most of my initial recruits were lala and cats and I have been able to swap most them out for Roe and Elezen with a couple Hyur mixed in for diversity.

My level 40 archer somehow found herself Titan's bow. I was quite impressed, though I always found those weapons super ugly..

Yeah.. my Conjurer has Titan's staff and Gladiator has Titan's shield.

Hopefully they won't keep those at level 50, so ugly weapons.

There is a limit, and I'm guessing it's two per group.

I had two in waiting, increased recruit buff on, and didn't get any additional recruits from 4 gold saucer achievements.

I've had 3 stacked. I unfortunately had to dismiss them all as they were repeat roles of ones I already have.

It seems no arcanists want to join my squad most of the time i get lancers or tanks ._. Need 1 to make use of the chemistry trait i got lol

No, just 3 different ones, but I already a one of each role of the stacked recruits.

I think it's one from each group now, after playing around with it. I was only able to pop out one at a time with Gold Saucer yesterday.

Any information if it makes a difference when you set 1x tank, 1x heal and 2x DPS than when just sending 4x DPS ?
Somehow i dont trust that calculator, even when it seems accurate...

Doesn't make any difference, each role simply has different attributes.

Healer seems to have most mental, while tanks have most physical, and damage dealers most tactical.

Actually, DPS are pretty much are all over the board.
BRD and NIN have a lot of tactical,
mages (THM and Arcanist) have a lot of mental, just like healers,
and MNK is fairly balanced for all 3 stats.
Haven't had a DRG yet but I think I saw a screenshot that their physical is pretty high?

Roles start mattering only when you have bonus chemistry stuff that only activates on certain conditions, like "have 4 lalas in your group" or "have one of each role in your group" etc. :)

I absolutely despise it. I have been play around it for a while. Now, it feel like it's going to stuck at Lv20 mission for some time. My squad is now lv 25, but the stats allocation is still all mess up. No matter how I tried to use training to reallocate points, one of stats is always not enough to do that mission. While I appreciate the effort of actually doing something to earn the rank, this is simply not fun.
In addition, the 18hrs mission made this whole thing just a game of waiting for RNG result.

When they announced the squadron system, I thought I was going to party up with my recruit npcs and do some special instances or some sort. I did not expect this to just be retainer reborn.

Does anyone know the significance of the color that the squad member's names are while in Squadron Roster view?

I can't figure out what it means. I have two healers and one ninja with red names on the roster. The rest are blue.
The healers are rank 30,29 the ninja is 29. They all live in different areas and are not the same race or gender nor class/job. I just cant find a common denominator between the matching colors.

Also, What does "Mission Affinity" mean? Does it have any buffs or significance?

If you have squad members who match the mission affinity, their chemisty gets a boost.

Thank you so much! I totally overlooked that it seems.

Forgot to mention, they also ignore their chemisty requirement. It's active regardless.

If you're wondering where your recruits are getting Crystal Tower and Primal gear when they hit Level 40, I have 2 words for you:

"Expert Delivery"

3 Years we've been dumping this meaningless junk into the Grand Company.
Now our recruits get to wear the efforts of our labor.

But that still doesn't explain how they are able to wear it, even when it explains how they obtain it.
I already obtained a very beautiful lvl 60 MNK body but because I'm only lvl 58, I can't wear it :confused:

i dismissed an archer some time ago in favour for another one , and then 2 days later after reset , the first recruit i got was the dismissed archer XD
