Yes, I read the Japanese version and I know what he said but the translation from My Chocobo to a reference to My Little Pony was most likely not intended. マイ　is one of those words that is used fairly widely now alongside with other English words like ザ(the) or ラブ（love). I have no problems with jokes but making Yoshi seem like some kind of meme-spewing tweenage girl is certainly something I would rather not see.

Actually, as Amidi stated as well, it is the end of creator-drivern animated series... On Cartoon Brew there should be some cool articles on how the whole series is aimed to take people towards the toys market trend.

Not to seem combative or anything, but..

Wasn't Cartoon Brew's 'The End of the Creator Driven Era' article written before the series started airing, as a response to several occurrences and trends in the industry and not only the news of Lauren Faust's signing on to work with MLP:FiM's production, and before we all discovered the people working on the new My Little Pony series were actually trying to make something halfway decent instead of just signing on for a paycheck?

I mean, yes, everyone acknowledges that the series is in its intent a toy advert. Just.. the people behind it have apparently decided to make a genuinely enjoyable and interesting TV series inside that frame. If anything, that they achieved so much despite those limitations is a testament to the enthusiasm and creativity of the production team, and far from reason to start declaring the doom of animation as an artistic and creative endeavour.

Goodness knows, I've had fun watching it.. not that that's really relevant but, anyway.

The german name for the system is much better: Privat-Chocobo ^^

I mean, 'It was just a joke' is a fair bit easier to come out with than stepping up and disclosing the various financial priorities that lead to S-E choosing to work with Click&Buy, and laying out whatever alternatives they have in mind, if any.

Their job is to pass on our concerns to their company, not filter it. That said, if we aren't getting any responses in return on the matter, it just tells us that there aren't any actions on the company's part being taken to resolve the issue.

Here is a response. They posted in the forums where it actually matters atm. We're not paying so they see no need to respond to people throwing fits over something of no current consequence to them. I don't blame them, with people like Chocobits stirring the pot in the manner they've been doing.

A response which was woefully inadequate, good sir. This is regarding our financial security, which any company ought to be taking seriously. Sometimes I wonder about the argument that "corporations are people, they should get the same rights", when problems like these come up.

It's like the analogy about the car: Do you fix your car as soon as it breaks down in the middle of a six-lane highway, or do you fix it as soon as it starts exhibiting symptoms of a fatal problem?

In the context of ClickandBuy: Do you want to deal with problems with ClickandBuy when you're supposed to be enjoying the game when subscriptions are active, or would you rather resolve these problems before subscriptions go active?

Who gives a crap what it is called? Not like you will ever see the name again after you get your Chocobo. Grow up!

System can be called whatever you like. It doesn't matter. For example, in russian language: “Скрестили страуса с канарейкой и одели седло”. What is the difference? :D

And in the French 16th letter from Yoshida you don't have this title. There's no name at all for this system. Each letter is different for each country. The fact that My Little Pony is not popular here brought them to the conclusion that is useless to mention it 'cause the joke wouldn't be relevant.

So it's most likely a joke and even if not it's just a name.
