I don't really care about people who don't want to dps when they're playing a healer, if they can't or don't want to, for whatever reason (e.g. tanks/healers not good enough, dps taking avoidable damage, party members dying, learning new contents, physical limitations, even laziness). The ones I don't like are those who don't dps and go around telling people that healers shouldn't dps. That's just not the best way to play healers in this game, considering the abilities of tanks and healers would allow a lot of downtime where heals aren't needed. I don't care if people are bad or don't want to be good, but please don't tell others to be bad as well.
You don't have to like this "dps meta" but you can't deny that it's the optimal way to play right now. Same thing as tanks, some players in the tank subforum don't like the meta, they'd prefer if encounters are designed such that tanks have to play more defensively, but they still accepted that maximizing dps by reducing tank stance uptime is the best way to play right now, and still encouraged newbies to try doing so.
