I don't see why they divide it by GC at all and just go by assigned colors and whatever color that needs the people, players get distributed as needed. Ranking up PER GC and then getting locked into it just seems like a bit too much to me for a game where majority of the playerbase doesn't give 2 f's about PvP anyways. It's like SE imagines stuff for granduer ... but with a tiny playerbase that just splashes their feet around in the water for a few days because its new which just destroys it all in return once the fanfare wears off. Frontline's playerbase seems to already be thinning out because the fanfare is wearing off (i don't know if this is because people are stopping or because the queues are broken though). Queues used to be instant the first week and now its pretty much over 30 minutes everyday.
SE should just give a team a color and let players just go beat each other up and then have the matches scale down based on how many players are available regardless of GC. it would fix the not having enough players on your team problem, along with many other problems as well. Also, it gives players a fair chance to win and doesn't leave players stuck on Team Lose with the same baddies every game. Flames nearly always loses on my dc to the point where we don't even really consider them a threat. My friend on Flames has played 64 games and only has 13 wins. Or, you know, the ones you KNOW for a fact are bad and you just roll your eyes when you see *that guy* in your party coming in the game with level 50 white items.
