    Fundamental Flaw With Frontlines

Let me start by saying that I enjoy Frontlines and I do hope PVP becomes a constant focus of the dev team in the future.

Now, the flaw: players should not be separated by GC affiliation.

    Reasons:
    - it fragments perfectly functional communities (guilds aka free companies); what grand company I chose should in no way influence who I play with and vice-versa.
    - it encourages migration of players from one GC to another in order to "be on the winning team"
    - it holds no value in PVP (no different skills, nothing that actually says "I play TwinA because...")

    Solution:
Get 72 ppl in and split them into 3 teams: the REDs, the BLUEs and the YELLOWs.

You want to go further? Split ppl into server groups and that way you can talk about some sort of "faction pride".

    My 2 cents.

So what? it was said at the start its split between GC, just because you or OP don't like the answer doesn't mean they need to give you more clarification. It will change when they want it to change and not a minute sooner.

We all knew it was a split between GC, there was no clarification needed. But the entire PvP community explained why segregating players from their friends was a bad idea for gameplay, which they ignored completely

There is no morale, PvP gear you previously earned will not be your concern. You will lose current PvP rank with your current GC. You maybe lost all the buffs on pvp actions (shorter CD, longer duartion, and a little damamge boost), but you still kept your all primary PvP actions. Imact is minor, get it over with just start over with your friends.

Except that alot of freinds in the pvp community were easily rank 25+, something that took 400-500 matches to achieve pre 2.3, having to make some of the friends have their stuff locked off for 15 days just so they can just have fun is utterly stupid

All they needed to do is allow people to party up and then the party leader's GC is the one you queue for, it's that easy

Nope, they just didn't give you the answer you wanted so you demand an explanation and tbh you don't deserve one just because you said so . You already have the answer, if you keep ignoring it then its no ones fault but your own.

Im 29 in 2 weeks, next excuse please? And why even bring up getting 15 day lock out, that has 0 to do with anything. You're really grasping at straws here.

You're not in pre-2.3 son, please try to understand that getting to that rank took a month of solid matches (aka, hoping that the queues would be good, which was almost never the case) to get that before hand and nobody knew what the rewards would be after patch, so they were annoyed about losing said rank

A bit of a dead horse, but yes, you are correct. It is an abysmal design choice.

And it's not like this is the first MMO in their franchise to make it work, I recall Ballista doing it correctly. People who want to play PvP don't do it for the lore, but because they want to play some damn PvP. So whether you were Bastokan, Sandorian, or Windurstian, it would place you in whatever faction needed to bodies. And it worked fine, no one team never annihilated the other, because you were constantly changing factions based on who needed bodies. This would also absolve queue's being ridiculous for certain factions, since everyone would be the same.

So if FFXI, a far older MMO, can execute it well, why can't XIV? Why can't they take the good ideas from XI, and utilize them properly? Why did no one have the foresight to say, "Hey wait a moment, this is going to be really irritating for the player."

I have high hopes for Frontlines, unlike Wolves' Den, which is sort of hot garbage, which is why it bugs me so much. Potential squandered is far worse than something just being bad by default.
