Chaotic Alliance party finder toxicity

it just follows the regular recent pattern. everything SE has put out lately has been mediocre. 7.1 was a flop.

nobody besides older people who played ff11 enjoyed the alliance raid. fru was considered lame compared to the last two ultimates. nobody asked for a 24 man savage alliance raid with garbage loot that you have to run 99 times that a single person not grabbing towers can wipe. you won't even be able to do the chaotic alliance raid in party finder soon because nobody will be doing it and the people who do lie about prog and you'll be forced to join a discord community dedicated to it. pvp got worse and feels very clunky and unresponsive. most items still don't have updated textures or dual dye channels. there's still no midcore or casual content. ff14 hit pre shb numbers of players. msq was mediocre and it's still all about wuk lamat. SE killed the venue and social communities with awful dc travel restrictions.

it is over my friends, we're stuck in the twilight years of a doomed and dying mmorpg and SE is content with sitting back and letting it burn to the ground while we pay a monthly subscription

actually it's 50 (Worst-case scenario, no bonus runs) runs if you're talking about the mount, or 72 (Worst-case scenario, you're the only first timer you ever see in it) for the other mount, also you can survive a few towers not being grabbed

i have no reason to do that to someone who's merely sharing their opinion, and isn't trying to excuse their incredibly poor playstyle

Wow, this snowballed completely out of control just because me and other player kicked them out of a Farm party and they made a forum post instead of just joining other party...
From what I read here I have no sympathy for them, but this whole doxing and policing thing is taking it a bit too far no?

I see some casual players looking at this and thinking all kinds of negative shit and feeling discouraged from trying harder content.
I just want to say that there are parties for learning/prog and there are parties that are for farming. If you're honest with yourself and go to the parties you need to go to, you will rarely run into problems.
The toxicity in PF mostly happens when someone tries to be a smartass and sneak into a party they shouldn't be in. It's disrespectful to everyone else's time, so it makes sense that it pisses people off and they'll let you know, and when they do, you can either take the L and apologize or you can go on the forums and act like you're the victim.
Not to invalidate or discredit anyone who has had a genuine bad experience of course, it also happens some people are just assholes. This just ain't it.

It's happening now in CAR, I scan these forums for feedback, however.

This one's a bad one on all sides and just shows we can have toxicity in FF.

God knows what they will do with the next.

This thread SHOULD have been a place for people to share experiences in pf with toxicity and for the most part im glad thats being done. i think this thread SHOULDNT get closed because i think everyone should be able to express how this experience has made them feel. so that in future SE can look back on this horrible experience and change either the difficulty of the fight, or the entry conditions. in regard to the person who doxxed my discord and accused me of modding, I would like if others could please report this behaviour enclosed is the following screenshot of my service account that only shows PS4/5 listed the current platform. The picture of my wol was made for me a present from a dear friend, yes i can prove this but please not on here i dont want to expose anybody on this place, if you wish to see it the discord is there. ive had many ppl literally come and harass me on discord over this thread because that user posted it. Its fundamentally against terms of service and it IS having consequences for me. as for all the things they've accused me of genuinely please just ignore it and report it. i haven't seen a single thing posted here that has shown any proof of doxxing, harassment or actual use of addons from me. the user also admitted to inflating this whole thing in here to take advantage of players who don't understand how mods work, so have at that.

I am genuinely very sorry for any sprout who saw this post and is now afraid to try chaotic. there are a small handful of non toxic parties so please join them and do this content, nobody should gatekeep you. The argument about needing to do rotation well and have this much dps or do this much of a parse is fundamentally against Terms of service too, and you should report it where you see it. there are videos and live letters and even screenshots posted here that clearly show YoshiP does not approve of this. to say otherwise is a complete lie

Aside from the usual bait and jerk, can someone please explain to me why this PvE content is so important? It’s just you and seven other people pressing buttons on a floating woman again. What’s waiting for you on the other end? A hair style? Is that really worth you all doxxing other people for? The hair doesn’t even look that good. It clips and the flowers look bad. You realize that this doesn’t make your game look too good, right? You and your ilk relentlessly promoted this game as “the friendly MMO” in 2021 and pressured everyone to leave WoW. Now that everyone is stuck here, you pull the rug out and dox people with non-compliant opinions. Just so that you can have a hair style.

really tho. is absolutely wild how brazenly toxic people have gotten over this game. perhaps chaotic will wake yoshiP up to the severity of the problem and make them implement tools to curve this behaviour where it happens in game

ive been raiding savage current content since eden 8s shiva, so i think i have a little bit of past experience to say here that CAR is as hard as a 3rd wing on a savage fight. NOW i am not not okay with that, IF its an 8 or even 16 man. but a difficulty level that high on 24 man is complete insanity. They even lock ur BIS behind it. tell me. if m3s was 24 man would u do it? what about m2s? ofc not lol ppl would absolutely riot. the devs would never ask players to do that. yet here we are. they listened to xenosys vex so much they only put content in the game for people like him. I miss the day when everybody could relate to zepla because she was just a casual player who was kinda bad at the game but had a great personality. now everybody hates her because according to them shes a bad raider

It is important because casual players got no content to do - again. The more often this happens the less likely they are to stick around. And there was no real new PVE content for casuals since the release of Zadnor in late ShB. At least no content which would entertain a player for more than one or two evenings.

When chaotic raids establish themself as a recurring form of content then there is less available dev time and money for developing casual content.

Locking the hairstyle behind it is important because it sets a precedent. More and more things get locked behind the growing number of hardcore content. The average casual player has less content and less available items. Many people stick around because they want to collect these things. But why bother anymore when the collectables are out of reach? You are missing mounts, pets, now the hairstyle. Why even bother anymore collecting? Why even bother anymore to collect the things from the content which you can actually play? Your collection is missing so many things already. Why even bother anymore to play the game at all?

And this is the problem, the loot. When the hairstyle is 100k, noone will run ot and all these posts will look stupid. The rush for said loot however will remain. There's no need to gate keep it.

Doubt it. I've been doing Chaotic prog since it came out. This has not been my experience in game. These forums just happen to be a complete clown show.

Mechanical difficulty is firmly around extreme level, the thing that makes it harder for the group is that 24 people need to play together as opposed to just 8. Ironically the people making it savage level are people who instead of learning mechanics come to the forum and complain about enaero being unreactable.

You complain about toxicity but your earlier responses in the thread prove you need a mirror instead.

The vast majority of content in this game is casual content and the vast majority of content released this expansion will be casual content. Heaven forbid they release a couple raids that can't be facerolled in the meantime.

I'd say it's because the game is being played on a Mac, but an image from May 2023 on her art twitter account shows that she owns a PC with Windows 11.

What I wonder is why Steam doesn't have the darker shade of a white box around it like all the other selectable options.
I'm currently looking at my own and each option, regardless of which one it is that is selectable has that box, but on this picture Steam doesn't.
Does give off the feeling that something isn't right and the word "Steam" could've just been pasted there.
If that picture is indeed tempered with it sure was a poor job.

Well, to be fair just because someone owns a PC/console have to mean that they use them.
But clearly the image has been tempered with.
And I still say that the words "Windows" and "Steam" has been tempered with since all the other options use the same font (compared to my images) where "Windows" and "Steam" doesn't.

I feel like Criterion could have been better if it dropped Criterion-appropriate gear, but that's off topic for this thread.
At least Square Enix is showing some willingness to drop max ilevel gear for content that is not the current savage raid (which felt like was a big no no up until Endwalker). So, who knows, maybe they will be a bit more open for feedback instead of chucking chaotic into the bin directly?

Could you give more insight on how people are "gatekeeping" in regards to Chaotic? This is the first time I've ever seen anyone mention anything of the sort, so I'm curious where the view point stems from.

I think they will personally, I just think they will end up revising the level of difficulty it has and/or the overall reward types behind it. I think SE were hoping with how they did it, it would funnel a lot of players into the content to bolster participation, and that the general reception would be very supportive of one another. but not really thinking about the issue that arises when you have potentially experienced raiders doing it with first time players into raiding for the first time. SE doesn’t lend itself to being supportiv. I think in an ideal world they would have a two-tier difficulty, a normal mode of sorts that sits on the level between normal and extreme, and then an actual chaotic version that sits on the early savage difficulty level.

Granted, I think it’s much worse on the forums and for some other DCs, than it is a universal thing.and I do think it would be a shame for them not to do it because it is absolutely something I think the game and community can benefit from if they put more resources behind it to create an additional difficulty step between normal and extreme.

I hope they will, but either make it 8 man content, scale it based on the amount of people, or don't make the fight so PF unfriendly. Other then content creators 95% of people I have seen spoke negatively about this content.
The doxing that came out of someone expressing their opinion was also quite something and I am frankly suprised the doxer can still post on the forums, kinda thought at least that sort of thing would be something the moderators would act on.

In before a certain someone calls me a modder now since the word is in my post.

Aside from what this has turned into. I spent the past three days getting past swap mech parties in prog and yesterday I spent the whole day trying to clear in clear/reclear/enrage parties. I did 15 parties and tried my absolute best every time. I always give it my all; but when it came to go for the clear after the 2nd pull getting us to 1% enrage, people left. 9 of the parties left after between 1 and 3 pulls. I spent those 9 parties rebuilding before complete disbands. I'm quite positive that most people don't food or pot in these reclear/enrage parties. In the 15th party, Our 3rd pull, we saw 1.6% enrage. I'm really trying here and it is very frustrating that a clear feels so far out of reach. Most people seem to mess up towers though, very often. A person or two dead for swap mech so we have 1 or more people on the wrong platform, this and that. I try to join groups that look promising and I am always willing to stick it out, but so many people bow out almost immediately after one pull that goes wrong. I came here just to share my thoughts and experiences; as much fun as the fight is- it is the people and their toxic behavior that make it both challenging and exhausting. I read through all the posts in this thread and I just wanted to see if others were encountering the same issue.

This happens a lot in PF in other high duty content and is not Chaotic specific behavior from what I've seen and heard.

This is nothing new. This has been the thing through out FFXIV entire life span.
Back in ARR 2.x when the most difficult trials were Hard mode it was the same thing.
I'm not sure why people talk like this is exclusive to CAR. It's the same type of behaviour as always just in a new piece of content.
