Right?!
And there is many more!~

Normally I'd be the last one to make one of these posts, but OP is referencing the dungeon tab of the PF window while the raids/trials tabs both had people in them trying to do things. Meanwhile, another poster on NA (aether) posted their PF window and it had over 100 raid groups trying to do content. The guy who posted crystal's dead PF afterwards is right about it being dead, but that's only because DC travel allowed aether to basically become THE pf hub; people literally leave their home dc and travel to aether when they want to do stuff now, in the same way people come to crystal when they want to get their dick wet in a venue.
That said, I agree that this game actually needs a wider variety of things for caught-up players to do in times like these. I just think posting PFs is a weird metric since you guys keep posting tabs that are never occupied anyway, or you're posting from DCs where nobody even plays the game.
Game ded, pls shut off.
I dont understand this fixation with player numbers tbh. That's the dev's job. You cant do their job for them. You cant care more about player numbers than the people responsible. It just doesnt work.
I reject the notion that we need to drive up player engagement at any price. That's actively advocating for the game becoming worse.
You could add 30 new dungeons tomorrow, 50 new guildhests, and ain't nobody going to use those 2 categories still. You'll get more success out of Blue Mage updates simply because you cannot go in with a matched party, just a fixed party.
Most content is simply designed in such a way wherein it's not even needed to use PF. I'm not sure why this is blown up to be something that is new or exclusive, has literally been the trend since as early as SB.
The PF maker prob just didn't realize DF was a thing, or they (incorrectly) assumed PF would be quicker than whatever their projected queue time was.
I'm on Excal myself, and I rarely queue for longer than 15 to 20 minutes as DPS, even when I'm running older content for leveling or WT -- as long as it's not in the middle of the night.
This post sorta makes me miss the times when there was no DC travel(and world travel to an extent). It was cool when I could queue up in a dungeon with people and be like "Hey, that's that guy I ran past in Mor Dhona!" Then just make conversation because I'm certain I'll see them somewhere in the world again.
Now dungeons are just a quick Hi/Bye. I'm probably gonna never see these people again. No one really tries to make conversation in dungeons because we're rushing it as fast as possible.
No doubt this is better for dead servers where people can find a queue, but they're really nailing this "RPGMMO" thing on the head with the addition of Duty Support. It not being about the destination but the friends we made along the way feeling is fleeing quickly.
Speaking off my own opinion, I genuinely think the venue community exists to profit off players, not for the sake of RP as some would claim. It was understandable during the peak of the pandemic that venues would crop up to replace actual ones irl but I think a large majority that exist now exist simply because they realized there's gil in it or actual cash if we look at the DJ side of things via Twitch. It just doesn't sit right with me to profit off a community that used to just be free and open to everyone and now there's hardly any kind of non-monetized RP left. It's just sad coming from where it used to be a couple years ago where there was much more variety and now there's only clubs and brothels.
I also think the venue community is up there in terms of toxicity and use the excuse of "RP" to hurt other people but that's an entirely other story.
Well sadly we are effectively a sims game now that got some mmorpg as extra if you want.
New content stop lasting at any level in 6.x. people don't want to just leave as they invested in the game and got some friends,so they use this as a chat /sims.
Look you wow palyers... this goes to all not only you, first if you want m+ go back to wow and play that there but we all know there is no content there compared to here, final fantasy is not like wow even tho alot of you come here then cry about it. Second you cry that there is no content yet you refuse to do any that there is in game, the things you want from another game just cuz you cant do the content that is offered here is not something the enitre company will start spinning around your ass. You are probably got tabs with both wow and ff forums open crying about something, you will never be happy cuz you CAN'T do content not cuz there is a lack of it. I would say to shut up and think before you speak but we all know where you come from. Unless you got no life and this is your only interaction you get with humans.
I keep mine as a status symbol. It’s a Mist 5 and I’m not very decorative.
Yeah, i know truth hurts, and don't be a kid with "bad take" is the reality of whats happening. Just cuz all you swarm ff cuz your game is dead doesnt mean it has to be changed to your needs. Be grateful that none of the devs take EU and US forums in to account, the game would have turned into a shit show from the start of the exodus.
I like the mmo we have, currently away so can’t play until in a few days and honestly I miss it :3 never cared much for pf except for treasure maps and laughing at the “other” section.
I'm more confused why the PF in OP didn't just use DF. Are they on a brand new DC?
Got me thinking of all those Patrha drama stories on YouTube.
I genuinely feel that after the Asmongold arrival, most people got the idea that "XIV RP = Dance Club+ERP" and nobody ever stopped to pay attention to the small taverns, cafes and other smaller places that there were. Some remain.
As i already said to the other Hrothgar shill: Imagine being so spineless you get treated like a third class citizen just for picking a race the devs implemented in the game themselves and you still defend them with the most unhinged takes possible. To shatter you world: most of the "WoW Refugees" are already back to playing WoW.
That is the most copium addict ive seen so far... but whats there to expect from a wow player. Let me educate you on your mistakes like everyone in your life tells you. EVERYONE knows that wow is below 1 mil players but thats not the issue, wow is dead anyway. The problem is with you idiots coming here crying about a game that you dont even play but yet you want them to change it and make it like wow... dumb dumb news flash, why you think wow is dead?... And to your idiotic comments - you got no idea in what world you are living are you? What does a race has to do with a good game in general, And the "world shattering" thing you said... If you play ff you know how many they are in the game xD. I mean all your forum stuff is acting like a shill for wow (ironic that you call me that dumb dumb) on the FF forums xD and yet still without the use of your brain u managed to open your mouth... So i think the only world being shattered here is yours and warcrats xD.
Most mentally stable FF14 Fanboy. What the lack of hats does to someone. Just because you got burned out playing WoW for 15 years doesnt mean you have to defend FF14 at every step you take now. Theres alot to criticize about both games, because the genre itself already has to do alot of corner cutting just from the nature of it. But imagine you register to the forums in 2023 and the first 3 of your posts are having a mental breakdown that people dare to criticize your new favourite game.
On the contrary, they avoided the disaster that caused WoW to plummet when they went all-in on M+ and eSports, attracting the toxic crowd that has no place here. I'm glad we dodged that one.
I've been playing since 2015, and steadily since probably 2018-2019 or so. There's still a laundry list of things I'm either in the middle of or yet to do that I'm looking forward to enjoying some day...Quote:
Endless content if you are new to the game and haven't played for 9 years.
You're coping hard. This is some serious projection. lol
What's funny is it's usually pretty easy to spot WoW refugees (Like yourself). Because they like to blame WoW for it's toxicity, but also brought it with them. Your posts read exactly like someone that would post on the WoW forums about how WoW is dead. "WoW killed my dog, took my wife, crashed my truck"
As soon as old XIV players comment on the things that WoW and other MMOs do well, and that it'd be nice to have those things ALONGSIDE what we already have - They get super toxic toward us and defensive that XIV doesn't need anything WoW has, because XIV can do no wrong, and WoW can do no right.
Realistically - They can both do right and wrong, and it's really important for us to understand where those points are instead of you just lashing out as us for wanting more than the MSQ.
Someone that's "only played WoW for a few months" wouldn't comment on how WoW is dying, or talk so specifically about M+ and ESports. Even XIV players didn't give a shit or keep track of that. We've been in our own shitty bubble for the past decade. I literally didn't even know what M+ was until like 5 months ago. How would you know WoW has no content, if you haven't done it?
You got it twisted. WoW refugees on these forums are usually shills, and old XIV players are the ones that get salty. (Not saying some XIV players also don't shill)
You can't put on some cat ears and then turn around at WoW and point fingers, it's cringe. lol

A TON of people love FFXIV as-is. Not because it has a lot of content, but because it doesn't. You see, FFXIV is a game that respects your time. It's the only MMO that gives you permission to go outside, touch grass, play other games, visit relatives, piss on your own time, etc. We all like FFXIV because it doesn't force us to play. And that's a good thing. You can spend only $13 a month (cheaper than Netflix) and play all the other games you want. Isn't that a great deal? And when you feel like playing again next year, all five hours of new content will be here for you to enjoy.

Ah yes they respect your time by forcing you to stay subbed if you have a house, putting gear on weekly lockouts almost all the way until the next tier, delaying content until x.x5 or x.x8 patches, and so on. Yoshi-P can say whatever he wants, the fact is they don't respect your time more then any other MMO.
It does get somewhat stale when they're making the same "I love XIV because it has bugger all to do and I can give SE my money every month without actually playing the game" comment for the 50th time.
Yeah but being a one-trick pony satire account isn't all that entertaining for long either.

Why is it always the ugly catboys that have the most unhinged defenses of this game rofl
No other category even comes close
What, don't you want to get your rod well-oiled?

Has anyone here done the Blue Mage stuff? It's surprisingly fun, and the Masked Carnival surprisingly challenging. I know everyone says BLU is a meme... until you play it. It's truly underrated content, I think.
Anyway, carry on.
