Honestly the worst are those who do not speak or understand English selecting E for DF for coil with no clue what to do and obviously no way to communicate or understand anything being said anyways >.< They select E for faster que while not being able to do anything to a point it gets vote abandined anyways, so faster que didn't help whatsover.

It would not stop those presently queing hoping for a carry to not select this option hoping for a carry ^_^

But in my opinion, would be better if the PF system was implemented that if you selected when creating a PF party, Must have clear, then those who don't have a clear cannot join. Obviously can only select that option if the PF creater also has a clear ^_^. Any other special circumstances, eg Alts and cleared on main, send a tell to the creator, explain and see if they will personally invite you to bypass the automated clear check .

Yeah, that's true. But it would help thin it out at least.
Another added benefit would be for people wanting to "practice" it with their sub-class.

Clear it a billion times with DPS but want to also practice it as a tank or healer. I'd click on the noob box and DF if this option were available.
Especially would help low Pop servers (like Typhon lol) because anything Pre-Shiva or Pre-Turn 9, you aren't ever going to be able to form a pre-made learning party with PF.

I don't know for sure, but it seems that's what they're aiming for. More money off the server transfer fees. It's really sad to slowly watch your server die.

Maybe it's just because I'm in Balmung, but nobody I know takes the DF seriously for clearing end-game content. Maybe an EX Primal or two (after Echo) or nerfed coil, but nothing current. The game community (as a whole) isn't good enough to implement a current-difficulty Coil into a random queue like DF anyway. Even if it wasn't the collective skill level that'd be the problem, it'd be the fact that you can't trust a weekly lockout on content like that, with people that you have no communication with (in general).

Maybe if parties were better about requesting a VoIP program in DF for content that is best with it, it'd be a really great idea, but for now, no. Maybe in the future when they have the story mode raids this will be more feasible.

Well, I have to clear T13 yet and really would like to do it before forum crybabies let SE nerf it so I am kinda glad about the system of puting it into DF after a few months with a nerf.
99,999% DF parties wouldn't be able to clear it without nerf and people, who are willing to clear it might form a PF party or form a static. I have a people in my FC who don't want to be in static so they clear T10,11 weekly with groups in party finder, so it is possible.

And if you open PF and see no T10 training parties, it doesn't have to mean that no one is willing to do it. It maybe means that there is another 7 people lazy enough to not set up a party recruitment. :cool:

That's unfortunate. PF PUGs here clear t10-12 and some are either done with T13 or are working hard on it. Last I heard from a friend who does weekly PUG raiding is that they've gotten to Teraflare.

On Moogle i see turn 10-12 PF clear.

The last weekend, we killed turn 13 with a pug, 4 members of my fc, 2 from another and one from other. Nobody had killed turn 13 excepting me.

DF, not PF. Our PF isn't entirely too reliable, but I know quite a few parties composed of people who exclusively clear through it. It's probably not this way in unpopulated servers, which is why people want it in DF so badly, but I don't think they quite understand the struggle of Duty Finding Coil yet.

Its always been a issue in mmo from those who love the game but have limited time to invest VS those who have plenty of time to play. The idea of subscription FEE is that u paid money to come home and play not sit back and wait 3- 6 mnth for SE to justify stealing money from you till they allow causal ff14 gamers to queue for the end game. (WHAT ARE CASUALS MEANT TO DO WAIT 3- 6 mnth behind unsub till you add to duty finder SE ?).

obviously he/she isn't really a "friend" if the other "friends" are willing to kick him/her to the curb like that. Your party of "friends" should help them out when possible.

I have a RL friend playing with me that refuses to even attempt to learn any mechanics etc and only take him places when the content is totally beatable by marking a spot on the floor and telling him not to move. That's his choice. I'm not going to go to DF with him and expect 6 other random people to cover for him.

He won't even attempt to participate in mechanics and does not want to because he feels this game should all be about standing in one spot and punching the boss and dodging the telegraph AOE's.

Got him through to T8 so far lol. We're gonna try T9 with our FC and him immediately running out of bounds and dying this weekend.

BTW, what is so hard about the concept of casuals attempting to form their own learning parties in PF, and access it through PF. Especially on a server like Tonberry. There is a good population on there.

FCoB has frequent pugging on Tonberry, at least the first 2 turns.

Here's the thing: they expect things from you and have standards. Just like a static! Hell pugs are harsher than statics, there's no good faith and they won't ignore minor mistakes. It's like statics have absolutely nothing to do with accessibility and it's more to do with the content being tackled. But it is convenient to blame nepotism and cliques rather than content being difficult because with the latter the only thing that prevents you doing content is you.

Even if its on DF now, i doubt it would result in much success, itll pretty much be like t9 df now only more painful until they nerf the fights to the ground.

PUGs can be horrible... joined T9 farm on sunday second try we got to divebombs but marker overslept marking - 3 people ragequit >.>

Better for people to get some experience then have it blocked just because. I doubt hardly anyone DFs t9 expecting to clear it, they do it to get a small amount of experience with the fight.

i think patch 2.55 (2.5 part 2) will put final coil on df since its about the right time to get rid of the lockout by then since after heavensward nobody will do it anymore. so adding it to df BEFORE hv launches is definitly needed anyway since this time its different than with the 2 older coilds because lvl 60 is coming. hopefully the devs have tought about this.

Nah you are forgetting all the people that won't go to 3.0 at launch. For them fcob will still be relevant when 3.0 hits.

People still can't DF T5 with any sort of consistency. T9 is fine where it is right now, and it is too early for FCoB to be on the DF.

Except that T5 was nerfed extensively and groups still can't beat it. Nerfing T9 won't do much.

For once I actually want it in the df since there is not alot of ppl on my server that have passed t9 (very frustrating I know) and I refuse to pay for clears as I know that I do not need paid assistance that is used for noobs. -.- I wish more ppl would clear t9 already!

Clearing T5 and T9 in DF is so rare for one simple reason, the mentality to Vote Abandon/Leave after a few wipes. You don't really get a chance to practice when someone calls a Vote Abandon after a few wipes and if it fails, that person will leave, after one person leaves, the rest follow. If people stayed the full timer, people would actually get practice on it and the DF clears for these duties would increase.

Of course there are stupid players out there, but there are a lot of people who could clear them if they could get the practice.

Why would you want FCoB in DF (other than unlocked loot) when every turn will be just the same as T5 and T9 until nerfed? The group coordination required in FCoB atm is too strict for DF.

There's a very simple solution to that: get rid of most of the instant death mechanics.

I have said this plenty of times in this forum, the reason this is an issue is because of the way the difficulty in this game was built. You can solo this game all the way to +50, getting in random parties, etc. Then BAM!!! end game is incredibly difficult. There is no middle ground in this game. What are you to do, even if you are new, when even 7 and 8yr olds can get to lvl 50? Then all of a sudden, the way you plaed the game is drastically changed and its either go to that extreme and learn to play, or don't play at all. Its like SE created the game and forgot how to scale difficulty. You hit a huge wall after lvl50. SE alienated the playerbase way before players did. They made the game easy to put in limited time to get to a certain lvl, then you have to invest all your time just to continue past that point.

T9 only has 1 true one shot mechanic, and thats the walls.

Meteor placements is not observing while still doing high output, being fully aware and doing your job optimal to meet the requirements is somewhat skillful in this regards.

Divebombs require some awareness and is actually quite easy to deal with, but again this mechanic only interacts with the walls. T10, T11, T12 don't have instant death mechanics.

No, the real problem is people dont know how to work together or improve their ability in general, if you are good, you can show that ability in any content.

It took me nearly 2 years to down T5 in DF.
Might as well put it on there, the likelyhood
of people getting it together on T9 + is slim in DF.
Gotta be damn lucky to get REEEAAALLY good people in for final.
At least you can practice a bit in DF though.

And i think thats why people want it in duty finder. To practice. To see it and figure out how to complete. Like I have said before, its one thing to watch a video, another to actually do it. And to try and spend more time trying to put together a "learning" party than playing the game is a turn off for alot of people.

Pretty much this. Videos are great, but it usually takes a couple runs to feel comfortable with the pattern and timing of these fights. Who cares if success is not guaranteed? I just want to hop in real quick and get a feel for the fight with a group of randoms. Why is that not allowed?

Same deal for Ex-primals. I never liked how SE excludes them from DF when they're initially released.

Also, wanting these added to DF does not equate to wanting nerfs/echo. Two separate things. I'd like it if ALL content were DF-able when released, then after some time they can make the content easier.

If you clear T9, you must have some sort of skill... well, that's what it was like back in 2.2-2.3. People won't be as idiotic in Final Coil Dutyfinder as Second Coil as long as T9 gates it. I put up a Party Finder in Zalera (let that sink in lol) and we got to 55% in 3 tries, before stopping (took forever to fill up).

I DON'T see T12 being Duty Findable lol.

EDIT: Also, unlike the second coil, Final Coil will actually benefit from Echo. Echo in second coil is just... pointless.

It'll probably be just like BCoB and SCoB where you have to make your own group for the first 1-2 weeks after the patch, then a small patch that nerfs the hell out of 10-12 and allows queuing for randoms with increasing echo so even DF DPS might push 4 bennus after a couple weeks.

Some jp guy parsed load stone data for the final coil pet, it really was 10% on JP servers, and as low as 5% on NA/EU servers. The data on loadstone shows it was 5 to 10 % of the playerbase beat final coil.
