Allowing people to rush a potential FCFS ward and then pick through the lottery if they don't make it only benefits the people who once again, are around for the server restart and have a 3rd party client. They would effectively get twice the chance as everyone else as they would be there for the mad dash to get to the FCFS plots, then if they can't get one, are able to fall back onto te general lottery and get the same odds as everyone else. At that point, just make everything a lottery so people have equal chances instead of rewarding a small number of people who try to game the system.Quote:

Ok, I put a raffle in on 20-25 houses total since 6.1 and lost them all. Now tell me you rather have a lottery instead of say three full wards of FCFS.
One day, all those available housing will be taken and the only new houses will be players subscription expired and instead of maybe 25-50 people putting in for those raffle houses, your next raffle might have hundreds of players for that ONE house. If you didn’t win a raffle with the enormous amount of houses at the start of 6.1, what chance do you have in 6.3 with one popping up every few weeks?
A lot of you haven’t thought all of the different scenarios that can/may happen. ;) -

There is nothing wrong with giving people the option to participate in FCFS and having a lottery (until everyone starts complaining about the injustice of RNG that is, of course.)
On a bright note, I predict housing demolitions to be more frequent since it will be nothing but RNG deciding who gets houses instead of the kind of people who are willing to invest time and planning into realising their housing goals. My guess is that 60-70% of the lottery winners won't even understand they need to actually use the house to keep the house! -

Some people have jobs/duties that require specific notice requirements and that likely won't be available for awhile. People can't seem to grasp that not everything is binary and completely miss the point entirely. That said I am completely in favour of not having FCFS come back. I was there when it was in Shirogane and trying to log in within 3 minutes of the servers coming up was a nightmare of lobby errors and long queues before I finally got in the game to only find 1 unclaimed house throughout the whole of my server, half the ones people in my FC had their eyes set on that were close to the FC house were snapped up by bots and were unoccupied for months. FCFS is only giving houses to bots and house flippers. There won't be any choice of FCFS and lottery for buyers when there are no houses on FCFS wards to buy as soon as the servers open.Quote:
