It's a handheld that can be docked into a station to be played at home. That's like calling an iPod a full blown stereo system, you're buying into marketing ploy, Nintendo has done this in this past with the Gamecube Gameboy player, except this time they have access to much more powerful components to build with this time around. You're basically hyping yourself up for a Nvidia Shield K1 but with Nintendo placed somewhere on the unit.Quote:

I am not really out right calling this fake, just fishy. Indeed the article does raise a few good points about thermal constraints and how Parker SoC still doesn't work for tablets, it still feels like a speculation piece more then a solid report about the system's specs. So even if it's not Parker, it could still be pretty decent. Not sure how the 8 ARM cores on an X1 stack against the combination of 2 Denver cores + 4 ARM cores on Parker though.Quote:

But a beefed up Maxwell based Tegra would still be pretty strong. Then again, Nintendo does have some tech wizards who are capable pulling way more then the tech being used is capable of. The Iwata compiling Pokemon Gold and Silver in a way that he saved enough memory to fit all of Kanto into the game is a good example of that.Quote:
