Didn't check her gear was too busy wrapping my head around her logic and excuse. If she had better gear/experience/her job that run would of ended in half the time it took easily so in the time it took us to finish 1 run it could of taken her 2 runs thus more exp.

Also getting a class to 15 is child's play, 1-2 hours of leves + log and done.

I did a run after this were we killed every single mob for exp (full party of non level syncs) and we still had more than 30 min on the clock, I don't even-

Also the dps immediately yelled at me when aiatar stood in poison that he just spat on me, yes dear I'm literally moving right now no need to go ape on me, did I mention her cutsie act worked on the dps.

Someone found out when I said something along the lines of "that gets on my tits, carrying afk people on raids". One time I made a remark about a cute lala, he just got his Scylla robe and came running to us and he looked like a white puff ball on legs. I'm assuming the rest of the times it was through chat mannerisms etc that they found out.

Going into ST and being paired with another WHM who casts Medica II in the beginning of every fight and every time it goes down for the entire run.

That's all I have to say.

Copperbell Mines HM. 3 of us in my FC and we picked up a PUG 4th (the tank). We get in, and right off the bat, tank goes "Yeah a friend of mine just gave me his account, so I've never played before."

It went as well as you can imagine.

Also: my very first CT run ever. I play on a PS4, so it's ridiculously difficult to adjust hotbars and such. Go into my first run with all the Alliance bars literally in the dead center of my screen and have no time to fix them (it seemed like everyone else had done it before and didn't wait). Somehow we finished the run without too much difficulty. Still don't know how much of it went though - all I could see was HP bars!

I wasn't healing at the time, and it was more of a 'dafaq?' moment - and a "I don't know how we lived during this" via the healers...
I DRed into Mog King HM on monk, last night... I hate DPSing this one because I can never remember the order other than BLM asap. I was pretty sure I'd be yelled at for setting on the wrong one. Instead, the healers, 1 tank and I think the BLM? decided to rip into each other for the entire fight.
The animosity was insane. I dunno how either healer was able to do anything with all the insults being typed. So stupid.
Playing healer firstly and DPS secondarily, I know the party depend upon the healers to keep them alive. A forced trust. I'm okay with 'shit happens'. But this was at a point where I'd rather live off pots, meditate & sec wind. We were healed but.. why trust two healers, a tank and a DPS aiming at each other more than at the moogles?

At the end, the other tank and I waiting on the mog drop were just, "Mkay. So that was a thing."

Yesterday in Stone Vigil. Summoner from my FC needed a healer so I decided to join thinking we would quickly get through it.
But I was wrong. The tank, despite several requests from the rest of the group, refused to put shield oath up and instead tanked the entire dungeon with sword oath. Not only that, he was using uncomboed Rage of Halone on only one single target, never once using flash or any other skills meaning I kept taking aggro at every pull.
Luckily we had Titan Egi to help tank the mobs and make it somewhat easier. But there was still the odd one or two wipes because the tank decided to run into enemies first and just stand there. The last boss boss was terrifying to heal because the tank decided to keep spinning the boss round in the center of the room which meant I had to keep running behind it so I didn't get cleaved by its frost breath attack.
I'm honestly very surprised we cleared it with almost 40 minutes remaining.

2:00 AM healing.

"One more Trial DF, I swear!"
DFed into Titan HM (Fark. >_<). Cried inside, but continued on.
Died once. "Dammit - I hate Titan, I hate dying, I hate being bad at it." *Flips table like Titan flips a mountain buster*
Raised...
"Okay, I gotta do better!......-wtf? *LAG SPIKE* ...o3o?" *Spams Cure2 on the tank just in case one of them goes through*"
Find MP suddenly next to nill (yet I didn't do too much differently than other times?) and unable to even heal self through the stomps.
Survived stomps, but killed (as usual -_-) via weakness + surrounded by 546387 Weight of the Earths (and unable to get out of all of them in time).

Also, has anyone noticed a sudden influx of pugged DFs, both trials and dungeons, where almost no one waits for Protect/SS?
I do quite a bit of dungeoning out of boredom and it's been a large spike of this behavior lately. 90% of the time, people have run off before I can SS the last one or two party members (or not at all) in dungeons, or the tank has started pulling HM primals before I can SS either the tank or 50% of the rest of the party.
I've gotten it all before now and then, but as of the last two or so weeks, I noticed it's been REALLY bad. Like, almost 98% of the time.
Before it used to be more of 35% of the times I've gone in....

And several dragoons pulling HM primals early in a single week. Why dragoons, why!?

That's either very ballsy, or very stupid on that tanks part. I started ARR with a 30 MRD, but I sure didn't jump right into the the highest level dungeon available to me. I didn't know about the class at all, so I started in Sastasha and worked my way up, didn't skip one dungeon. Hell just a few weeks ago I had a friend who wanted my MNK in Titan ex. He gave me a couple days notice, and since I hadn't played MNK in ages, I went back to Sastasha. Then I ran a few other low level dungeons, just to re-familiarize myself with it.

Two days ago I was doing my LowLevel Roulette for the Tomes. I got Toto-Rak. I hate this dungeon but whatever. It's fine. Well right off the bat I knew something was up. The first mob? Got a replacement pretty quickly. He was... okay. But I noticed that I still pulled hate pretty fast. I'm only like ilvl ... 65 or something but that shouldn't cause me to do too much hate generation, especially when I already know how to wait for the tank to gain hate (including him using Flash). After the first fight he said... "Healer. Please hold off on the Cure 2. It pulls too much hate." I was like WHAT?! Cure 2? I told him "I didn't use that." Then the summoner added "You don't have Cure 2 at this level. Do you mean Medica?" I then added "I didn't use that either." I used Cure. That's it. Well that and Cleric Stance+DPS.

I think the issue might have been my healing plus my DPS that was causing so much hate. But I should be able to DPS and heal. I don't think I did anything wrong. Seriously, I pulled mobs with 2 Esunas at one point. WTF.

Ive seen a few triggerhappy bards now that people are farmin Nexus. This one bard just ran to boss with full cds, tanks were sorting out who takes what on Levi hm. I just let those silly bards die so they might learn that bard =/= tank.

With low level tanks especially gladiators you have to be super super careful because it's so easy to rip hate off them. Even lower ilvls can do it easy.

Also I have noticed a large increase of people yolo pulling trials and it's really god dam annoying! I do even get protect off. I got told my buffs were useless (lol whm here) and I just thought to myself "well don't come crying to me when titan busters your pretty boy face in". I think this is because of the new relic stage, brings out the "best" in people apparently.

I'm leveling a gladiator now (level 26) and this couldn't be more true. I've gone to dungeons with FC friends on their appropriately low leveled jobs and still had them rip hate from me.

I'd recommend marking and abusing flash. Most people will understand why your doing this and wouldn't get angry if they pull from you sometimes :)

Here's a reverse healing horror story. Maybe it's more humorous, I don't know.

I wanted to try tanking once, because I've only ever healed until now.

I tanked Sastasha, first time, as a Marauder (+ flash). Everything was fine and happy... until the very, very end, the last boss.

I kid you not, I spun the monster around and I watched the healer, who was standing about 30 yalms away. He cured me once or twice, and then he rotated his happy ass ninety degrees, probably thinking, Wow, healing isn't fun anymore, and he proceeded to spam Stone on an enemy that did not need to be Stone'd.

You can probably guess what happened next.

But here's what happened after. I respawned, only to find out that the group didn't really need me in the end. The healer claimed it was an accident, but he did a good job keeping everyone else alive.

Hmm I haven't had a problem with any BRDs, yet - just seemingly all DRGs... o_O One of them ran up to, smacked and pulled Ifrit HM before I could even finish my second SS. Didn't even get protect out yet. >.> ((mainly because I usually start SSing those that loaded and wait for the whole party before casting Protect)).
That was a fun party dance Ifrit did before the tanks could get his hate. And that was probably the third time in two days - just this one was the worst.
I have bad luck with dragoons, it seems.

I wish I could keep a broom on my WHM and flog the next dragoon I see that does this. Just start whacking them with the broom and screaming, "NO. BAD DRAGOON. BAD. NO. YOU DO NOT TANK." :|

Glad I'm not the only one to notice this trend. 100% agreed, totally annoying. I'm starting to feel like just letting people die on purpose.
We should call it that. YOLO pulls....

I do low level dungeons a lot, out of boredom and whatever, so I know how to wait for them to build hate and everything. But I know what you mean. I really like playing with tanks who spam Flash in the low levels. It makes my life easier.

The tank (a PLD) would get hate on one mob and then before he could gather hate on the other two (or three) the MNK would appear and would start pounding on the extra mobs. I finally decided that Selene could heal her and if she died, too bad.

I asked her to stick to fighting the same mob as the tank because she wasn't equipped to fight the one mob on her own. I was told "Don't you DARE defend his inability to use flash". And then she proceeded to rant while I tried to explain that fighting a different mob and pulling hate helps no one. (Keep in mind though, I have never played a PLD, so I have no idea what they are supposed to do or when, or what flash looks like, or when they get it.) We ended up finishing the instance, but the whole thing was kind of annoying.

Selene was on the ball that day though, because the MNK never died. So...happy ending I guess.

....and +1 YOLO pulling BLM as of last night.

So, two members of my FC wanted to run dungeons last night for myth and party leader decided on setting Brayflox. They haven't done it before - I did it once, completed and never went back - but ages ago. Needless to say, I didn't remember much of anything for that dungeon (except avoidance). Luckily the pugged BLM did.

We're doing pretty 'okay' for the majority of it but come to the last boss...... wipe after wipe after wipe after.... mainly via bomb range after knock back (not far enough) after Holying/AoEs.

At one point, we get the bugger down to maybe 5% hp. It came to a point where I was about to die - cast cure 2. Realized I was still targeted on the tank. Shit. Click bombed the ground to detarget in a panic (had maybe 15hp) and slapped Benediction. Tank still ate it. Died to snipers. We wipe.

(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

End of story - the BLM left (I don't blame them), new BLM came in and we sorta semi-insta-cleared o_O Maybe it was luck, maybe it was just a group jive thing...

I had one like this once, though it was a DRG facepulling and not ripping aggro off the tank. I asked them nicely a few times to let the tank do his job (how's he gonna learn otherwise??) and they refused, saying he was too slow. I shrugged inwardly, put Eos away, and just didn't DPS *or* heal the Dragoon anymore. He got into a pull with 4-5 mobs in it and went down like a ton of bricks. And then he got so mad. :3

We were doing better - Got bombs out to the rim faster - but with a very small window between blast radiuses. Due to that, I was doing about 2 Holys + multi raising + Cure IIs, etc per bomb throw. At one point, I Holy'd once to rush them out - and then no MP. Only thing I could do was run up to one & rightclick to try to thwack it :| (couldn't even Stone). Inevitable death.

After first BLM left and the new one came in, we did... pretty well o_O I can't say the tactics changed at all, so, no idea. We survived without too much trouble but wiped once... got through all the bomb stages and then.. one big super bomb popped out. "da fack? o_o" Didn't remember a thing about this megabomb when I first saw it - after death I remembered it was a "KILL BOSS BEFORE BOOM".
Next round we finally killed it pretty fast - no fuss, no muss, no mega bomb dropped. You'd never think we had been having trouble >_>;

Okay, yeah, in that instance I understand your frustration. That sucks.

Story Roulette - Praetorium - fully half new people. 3 of them were pretty good. The fourth was an archer .. not a bard .. with a level 37 bow. Since there was no way they were going to get aggro they did ok until the final string of fights with all the aoe's. Then they died over and over and over. >_< One hit ko's.
I was trying to explain at the end how to pick up bard but they left too quick.
Not really a horror story .. just a single problem child. Everyone was good about waiting for the new people to finish all the cutscenes though.

I'm pretty new to healing (Tanking is mah drug yo), but I'm currently enjoying the white mage quite a lot... Well, apart for the last three days, since I unlocked Brayflox. It really seems to be the first test of a team ability, and let's just say that it's.... Especially obvious on tanks.

Honestly, over three days, I must have finished it twice in ten runs in PUG, with several wipes before even GETTING to the dragon. The sheer amount of paladins who STILL DON'T KNOW about flash at this time of the game is astonishing. They don't even try. When I first began playing, I knew all about tanking mechanics before even entering Sastasha because I informed myself in order not to be a weak link. And being a full time tank, I never noticed the performance of others. But UGH.


Anyway, it's always the same story. First mob pull, I let off 1 Cure as late as possible (Which isn't very long, these tanks being kind of... Squishy.). I immediately pull aggro on everything but the mob the tank targets. No biggie, I tell him to use flash, pretty please. 90% of the time, I don't get an answer, or more amusingly, the tank spams flash out of mob range as if he never used it before. That's usually the time I facepalm.

First boss is invariably a pain, with me running around keeping everyone up, and the tank not using flash at all again, but focusing on the boss and only the boss. It's usually the time where I decide to use one of the DPS as a tank of fortune and to give up on the main tank, if he's not listening.

Some times, we'll get to the last boss, and rage overflows. I get that you may not be able to put up with the aggro mechanism of the game, but if you're still unable to dodge a simple line aoe halfway to lvl 50.... URGH.

All in all, I now understand the spite that some healers had for tanks. But we're not all bad ! But I'm glad to be done with Brayflox.

Don't think I've shared this beauty on here yet.

I sign up for expert roulette and check in progress for the hope of helping a stranded party. Needless to say in progress pops and I join, was a full group and when I loaded in they were still fighting and the bard was tanking. This should if been my first warning bell.

With each pull the tank didn't use lob, flash or scorn at all, just the basic enmity combo on a single monster and never provoked monsters we easily ripped off him. The bard basically tanked 90% of the adds and I had my leg humped by a monkey for 5 mins straight.

We get to the first boss and the tank stands for about 3 mins then puts sword oath on...yes you heard that, sword oath. I beg in chat for him to change it but to no avail.

Needless to say adds hump my leg or the bards leg through the whole fight then at about 50% hp I pull from the "tank" and get btch slapped to death by the silverback gorilla (it's not a Sasquatch SE!!!!!).

Tank was kicked shortly after the wipe. I looked at the tanks eq and he was in str jewellery (white rings) and some coil gear. How? We will never know. Oh and I do have a record of this if you're interested, thanks to the amazing drg and brd that stuck it out to the end :)
