I think personally for the person its about what they are comfortable with, even if looking for just in game I would assume you still want to enjoy that cute factor, emotes screenshot selfies whatever and some guys and or girls are just not comfortable do it with the sex that is not of their preference. Everyone got preferences and it is there choice to have

I'm just saying it is pretty shady to advertise yourself as "looking for friends" when you're obviously looking for something more than that. Otherwise why get so curious about the other person's RL genitals? :v And you've already got girls reporting being harassed in here just for giving their discord out.

At least be upfront about what you want rather than trying to lure people in under the pretense of friendship. Don't make me get my spray bottle out.

I have a couple of friends that speak other languages. I try to speak with them using google translate. Sometimes, its not what I mean't to say and it can be a little funny and embarrassing. They are very patient with me though. Good luck!

I understand english well enough. Speaking is harder, but i'm trying not to use translaters. And i'm embarrassed by possible mistakes :)

Speaking is much harder for me too. to get it to flow with out stopping and saying "ummm" to get my thoughts together. Or I say it backwards because of sentence structure. But it's fun to learn!

Thanks but I am not the one who should be getting popcorn, I was saying that Yenyen may want it because of asking the question. This other stuff I have little to no interest in. This behavior just shows why its so hard to find the right person for each other. Why people get the wrong impression of others and why tact in the world is in a coma. Yenyen is doing a study and probably learning a lot more than bargained for.. like others may be.

With that said, there's nothing wrong with warning people about this stuff.
It can get really bad. We've seen it happen before here.

Again, a lot of people are genuine on their search, it's the bad apples making it so hard for anyone and or scared.

Whether in good faith or not, please stop responding to these kind of posts (or kindly suggest they start a thread). These kind of things almost always snowball and get out of hand because one small comment leads to another which leads to someone commenting on something that another takes offense at and then its a crapshow. If people are popping in with questions, just ask they start a new thread and respect that this one is mainly for people finding people.

Beyond that, whatever the conversation is now, people should drop it. Stop responding to other people's comments and just refocus on the core goal of the thread. If anything, itd be ideal of a mod could come in and wipeout the last few pages.

I personally think that this one doesn't really make a lot of sense. I mean, specifying that you are "married in RL" in itself will cut your chances of receiving a reply by at least 90%. So why bother putting information that would greatly diminish your chances of someone contacting you? When you could have much better results by lying and simply saying "I'm not interested in an RL relationship at all, and would like everything to stay in-game/online".

In other words, if you're going to lie about being "married but able to do anything online as long as we don't meet in RL", then might as well just hide the fact that you're married altogether, and come up with some BS excuse as to why you don't want an RL relationship.

Which would you say is more trustworthy: The one that says "no RL relationship" with vague reasons (or none) (and it has happened tons of times that big drama has ensued because certain people didn't bother to disclose their RL status/preferences to in-game partners)
Or the one that says "No RL relationships, and these are the reasons why"

Whether their SO has actually given approval or not is beside the point, in this case. But the fact that they choose to disclose such information (that once again, greatly diminishes the chances of a reply) when they could very well simply choose to omit it is worth some consideration.

I agree, Tact is in a coma. But so is communication. Rather have communication than dead silence (despite my recent experience). Can't fix what we don't know is broken, even in a forum post.
