Yeah =/
I mean, I'm all for exploring, but going into areas that have no use or lack anything interesting is pretty pointless. Although, I have collected all the aetherites, so...I dunno lol

This one is regarding map markers.

Well they did say they have that guy from Eorzea Ironhart who already completed the map so I'm guessing it's more like you have his map and you are making changes to it? like nanawa mines his map shows all the path but actually some path is closed off due to rocks blocking the path. And for the new maps you have to either obtain the map through quest or whatever or you actually walk to make you own map.
Personally I'm all for this auto-mapping changes since I'm old school RPG player lol
I should wonder when the map changes will actually go into effect; they've been very vague about that. Jump has seen a similar outcome. At one point it was confirmed beyond a doubt that it was coming, now it's just sort of faded into obscurity without even any mention in the future patch notes.

once the overall map changes are made.
jump is pointless
^^ Couldn't agree more. I'm sure it sounds simple but there is animations for each race and i'm sure objects may need to get reworked so you don't get stuck at all the crazy angles u land. Not worth the investment at all.
think you missed the point
I assumed you were drawing a parallel between map reconstruction and jumping. How they have both been initially mentioned, got us all excited, and then no more details have come out. That is how I interpreted your post. However, I went off on a tangent and agreed with Forbin.
Very very good!
This one is continuation of what he posted yesterday (or day before) and bay posted official translation so I'll post a link to that one in a bit (looking for it)
updated: His added comment was this one I translated today http://goo.gl/j2e7n which is a thread talking about the UI changes that was posted on lodestone topics in all languages. (this: http://goo.gl/GxhQW)
Another post by YoshiP talking about above post. (translating right now, posting to get the posting space below last one i just translated)

Didn't see official translation for this one but saw similar post in the past about this... but anyways...
Regarding food and what stats they give.

There is another post but it's about in-game story related about Princess Edvia?? dunno spelling, has lots of in-game terms so might be wrong if JP and NA versions has different naming.
There is also post about how many posts can be made per thread, since JP are used to 2ch which only allows up to 1000 posts per thread, just confirming it doesn't have a 1000 cap/limit.
And 2 threads just being closed responded by rep, one which was name calling a staff within a thread and another where they made part 2 of the thread since the JP players thought the first thread was getting too long.
Cute baby. My second one comes in December. That is when life is really going to get hectic. I dread the day they team up against the parents.
Congratulations
Can you elaborate on what might be meant with the FPS comment?

Good Evening
よ~~~し次は15fpsだな
OK~~~ so next is 15 FPS
技術的には15fps自体を実装することは可能です。
Technically it's possible to implement 15fps
ただし、まずはパッチ1.19にて30fpsをお試しいただければと思います。
However, first we would like for you to try the 30fps in patch 1.19.
PCの環境は人それぞれ違いますので、フィードバックをいただきながら、
その上で、15fpsの実装検討を含め、快適な動作のために対応は継続して行っていきます。
PC's environment varies depending on the person, therefore we would like to receive feedbacks first then on top of that be able to look into releasing 15fps and continue to make other changes which may ease (make it more enjoyable) the play.
The game's framerate is already uncapped meaning it can hit 60 fps or higher. All most want is for the game to be optimized so its not unnecessarily taxing on hardware that should be able to maintain a steady 50-60 easily. I know its just a quick translation, but it just seems odd to talk about implementing a specific framerate...especially something like 15fps.
I think the game is capped at 60fps, because the game heats your system too much otherwise.
Somebody asked for a 15fps cap (god knows why), the rep responded that they'll implement a 30fps cap first and would like him to try that.
A 30fps cap can be useful if your system can't get to 60fps regularly enough.
Yeah you'd certainly notice it. It makes no sense to ask for it.
30fps is still okay, 60 of course being even better.

Frames Per Second.
Makes sense, you can turn it on when you're craft grinding late at night or something.
frame per second, aka the frequence of photograms which video are made. An highter valuse mean a more fluid video. Related to videogames, a low cap to frames make the software skip some animation frame, so the game take less hardware resurce but make the game like it's PGs have wood joints.
Also, 15 fps cap it's way too little, so instead of wood joints the end result would be rock solid joints :||
Well I honestly would never use a 15fps cap for actual gameplay, but if I'm crafting/fishing while watching movies and capping at 15fps reduces power consumption or heating... I would probably use it in those sort of situations.
Lower-specced computers would benefit from a 15fps cap as it would prevent it from trying to over-exert itself.
Having the option in the config menu would be better than having it forced. That way the minority of players who would want it can still access it without inhibiting others.
OMG Thank you!!! This isn't posted on english side yet :D ... WANT NOW TOO!!!!!! Also , YAY for using the choco track in FF 14 instead of making a new one (even though rentals will have alt bgm) My fav choco track^^... game FINALLY going to start feeling like a real FF come patch 1.19^^ Bout time xD
Edit: Look at those tiny lala choco's go^^ Hehe , so cute :P
Auto-Map sounds awesome~
Will it be implemented globally as part of the zone redesign (and we lose our current maps) or will it just be for new/undiscovered areas?
