Zero is aethersexual, you got aether she's got the goods.
she straight yall need help
are you for real . you have problem's
I think Yoshi-P commented on relationships with NPCs in the past saying he didn't want to trample on anybody's fantasies and would leave things mostly ambiguous, so I think officially Zero would probably be whatever you want her to be.
Pffft, NO. Not even. Zero barely even sees the value of keeping friendly acquaintances, let alone seeking romance or any kind of sexual contact. If anything the person who suggested she'd be asexual is probably the most correct.
She has to develop more as a person before she can be straight, gay, bi, or anything.
Titanman can you please léave us alone for a day
oh hey its you again. i dont care what she is, her sexual identity doesnt define her. shes zero, and thats all.
I will send you to Jesus.

Asexual Is included in the lgbtq btw {lgbtqiA} as for sexual identity zero strikes me as a woman in her late 20s or early 30s. And I feel like people around this age, my age {31}don't have the same libido as when they were teens. We don't care about dating, intercourse or relationships because they can be quite a lot of hassle) but in the case of writing.. constantly affirming a love interest just dilutes good story elects down to a bad soap opera. Look at dragonball, every girl is a housewife now bevause the relationship took some of the major character freedoms in writing away (infact vegeta and goku remain such strong characters because theyre never home with there wives) I understand people Need ship's for mental security or something but those characters Don't need them
Why is this crap thread still up?
Christ these forums need mods.
Some people should learn the meaning of "don't feed the troll". I'm not talking about about the few people who took that seriously, but all the "Look, I noticed it's a troll, everyone should know that". Just don't answer, that kind of thread should not have that many answers. You don't answer, the thread lose visibility and die(And yes I see the irony of this post, but at this point...). Asking for moderation is one thing, but a lot of you are part of the problem, even if it's not what you want.
It is clearly a women, you should take a break from twitter.
This is now 3 times that you've bumped this thread. Doing great work.
But in all seriousness, this isn't going to be taken down because it's actually a subject related to the game. Troll subjects are not against forum TOS. Unfortunate but that's how it works.
Over the last couple weeks I've noticed a few threads get deleted and you know what they all had in common? They all had nothing to do with the game.

there is 2 genders male female not 200
Who cares it's. Its whatever Yoshi and the writers decide on.
Is there a way to report crap like this? Or the person posting it?
Take your transphobia elsewhere.
A trans woman is still a woman, there's literally no one saying she isn't a woman
Except the rainbow crystal that was present after the raid (which was the first of its kind, mind you! Also, the ones in Bestways Burrows are obviously artificial - the one we see in Eden obviously isn't), the almost shot-for-shot recreation (link to a side-by side comparison)of a scene between Rinoa and Squall with Gaia taking the role of Squall and Ryne taking the role of Rinoa (down to subtle detail and camera angles! Mind you, FF8 is a love story), and the FF8 love theme playing at the very end as well.
Also, I'd pay close attention to what happens in the Crystals in E12. Not just the voice lines, but what's physically going on. Not to mention them holding hands in the 5.4 patch artwork.
Sure, nothing confirmed anything. But to pretend all the evidence isn't there is asinine. Especially given Japanese companies don't tend to outright confirm these things, but everything points to them being in the same kind of relationship as Squall and Rinoa, lol
Zero is a bifauxnen, one of the worst trope ever, even the female characters are designed for the female playerbase in this game.
Sure as hell has a lot of bearing when you have a raid series that goes out of its way at multiple points to give direct callbacks to recreate story beats from the original. In any case, it isn't headcanon - it is called basic media literacy. This is as blatant as it gets without outright saying it.
"Ah yes, this raid series is retelling a love story, but instead of a guy and a girl, they're now two girls. Never mind the fact that the original is a love story, we're showcasing the characters holding hands in literally the key artwork for the culmination patch, we recreate a scene specifically dedicated to the main character of the original being lost and finding their way through their lover caring, and we even go as far as to recreate subtle touches with the animation. We also placed a rainbow crystal in there, wonder what relevance that has in modern culture? Eh, must just be friends."
Never mind the fact that this game is no stranger to introducing queer characters. They're just not as in the limelight as this. There is an entire trope about very, very obviously lesbian couples being reduced to "just being friends" in media - and you are perpetuating it. It is genuinely tiring.
No. It is basic media literacy. It is not my fault you're incapable of understanding basic subtext. Especially basic subtext in a game where Sappho, the person that is the literal reason the word "lesbian" means "women attracted to women" in English, canonically exists.
No passive aggressiveness here. I'm just being plain and stating the obvious to anyone with a high school education. I see you're on Balmung. Do American schools not teach basic intertextuality and symbolism and literature analysis?
Because genuinely, the answer is screaming you right in the face, and you're choosing to put a blind eye to it.
If it is "just a headcanon", then please answer the following:
* Why is the Crystal in the Empty rainbow-coloured rather than blue with a white tint on the bottom like every other Aetheryte crystal on the First?
* Why did they recreate the Squall and Rinoa cutscene down to the individual head movements in combination with camera angles, not to mention transitions? Down to the way Gaia and Squall falters? Down to the angle that Squall/Gaia sees Rinoa/Ryne?
Again, Final Fantasy 8 is a love story. This cutscene, in the original has a romantic overtone. They chose to recreate this in extreme detail. That is not an accident. And to pretend that this also doesn't make the FFXIV version have a romantic overtone is to spit in the face of not only Final Fantasy as a series, but all story writers and artists in general.
It's literally only not confirmed in the sense that Ryne and Gaia haven't appeared on screen in a fourth wall breaking moment and say "Hi! We're gay now!" to the screen. Because that would be insulting to the reader's intelligence. That much is plainly obvious to anyone that pays at least a little attention.
You are being literally passive aggressive here in this exact sentence, yet want to insult my "intelligence level" while failing to realize how hypocritical you are being? lol
This is way past debate now. You're just simply being rude and a jerk at this point because others don't agree with you.
No. I'm asking a honest, serious question here. Because that is genuinely the only way I could fathom someone not seeing what is plainly obvious to anyone that are actually taught those skills.
Still waiting for the answers to my other questions, by the way. Because these need a different explanation, if they're not examples of symbolism and intertextuality.
Or, this is two girls who literally never had friends. This is both of their first friendship. Why wouldn't they want to hold hand and do all these things we did as kids with our friends?
FFXIV pays homage to other games. Not always in an exact copy.
But aside from all that. If something isn't confirmed and you claim something that wasn't said, yeah mate, it's head canon. No matter how many things imply it.
