I often like to flex my healing prowess by pulling w2w if the tank is slow and gets salty. I like to look them deep in the eye as they are faced with their inadequacies and self important ego being deflated in real time.

Too late for me, this is why I don't tank pugs anymore.
If healers and DPS wanna grab all the things, then they're free too!
By themselves, as I leave the dungeon and hop my way to trusts.
It sucks especially when they rescue and you're new to the dungeon.
If you want more pulls then SAY SO.
For every tank that gives up the role because they can't play the main character, there's a player that starts tanking because they are tired of people that don't know how to behave in a team. I actually started to tank exactly because I was tired of crybabies with anime main character syndrome.
Never happens to me because I know where my sprint button is.
Who enjoys tank because they get to pull mobs?! That's a new one lol. I enjoy tank because I like big hp numbers and going brrr soak all the damage with my mits.
Relax yourself and just don't worry too much man. It will make tanking easier I promise. If you need to do single pulls say something to your party. Most people are nice especially when you're new
This has become a trend after the surge of WoW players. Additionally this was solidified behaviour after tanks have become essentially obsolete with the removal of enmity generation aspected attacks.
Tanks are redundant now. It takes nothing to be a tank anymore hence why a DPS can assume this position. In fact with a RDM you can easily solo a dungeon now. Healers are also becoming obsolete with self-sustain options on tanks. (Warriors can even solo content on their own).
well this you got 100%. sadly most content do not need a tank or a healer or dps. you can go as 4 tanks and do fine or as 4 dps. 4 healers i think be a bit harder. but this what we will get as long as SE want to make this in to a solo game they can later port to mobile or something.
Every time one of these threads starts it’s a bunch of people justifying and rationalizing why it’s okay for them to pull for the tank and a few tanks enabling them. In game this isn’t the norm, while double pulling is. Most people will be respectful and try to get along and when DPS or heal pulls they find it annoying but will most often say nothing to keep the peace. So there it is.
Truth is it’s annoying and rude behavior. Even more so than a tank single pulling. The argument of respecting peoples time falls apart the moment you zoom out and realize you are playing a video game so everyone in the game is wasting time. Albeit doing something they enjoy.
So when you pull and aren’t the tank, nobody will like you for it. They may put up with you or at best not mind it too much, but it is noticed and mostly not appreciated. As long as you know this go ahead and keep justifying it.
I don't like it either but they do have the means of healing incoming damage after the initial pull. At that point letting them die looks like an act of arrogance on part of the tank. Respect in this game isn't common so I wouldn't expect it at all.
All they have to do is re-establish the holy trinity without the power creep and lack of balance. DPS simply shouldn't be both healers and tanks. Blame SE for their lack of perspective on this.
I'd also add that damage in this game means little to nothing anymore. You can eat vulnerability stacks without suffering significant damage.
The question is how are DPS are ahead of you to pull ahead if your wall to walling? The mobs die and everyone moves, the DPS should not be ahead of you enough to pull ever.
Hi, I'm the tank coming in to be an enabler. I just want to make it very clear that if you're a healer or dps in a group with me and pull ahead of me, I will first - wonder how you did that? Did I drop my controller or something?
Second, promptly catch up and reestablish control of the pull.
Third, maybe throw an aurora on you just for fun.
And finally, thank you internally for making this dungeon run a tiny bit more interesting.
Hmmm... As a tank main, I don't believe we have a priority in pulling unless it's a Trial/A-raid/Raid. Just pop a sprint when this happens, learn from things instead of being frustrated by them.
Tanks are not the leader of the party. There is no leader, everybody is equally important and needs to do their job. DPS kill enemies, Tanks get agro, healers keep people alive. There is no dedicated puller, and any tank who refuses to get agro because they didn't pull the mob or because they think they are the leader of the party is griefing.
Honestly I don’t mind if they do pull for me as when I am running towards the next group of enemies the mobs running after me are being damaged at the same time, and sometimes drops hate on me to the dps.
just press ur auto run and then take a sip of water, aint nobody got time to look at the scenery for 3 WHOLE SECONDS
oh and pls pull the bosses immediately too while at it (but not with ur gapcloser, dont screw ur melee pls)
Talk with your party members at the start of the dungeon or during as needs require to be sure everyone is on the same page, it's actually that easy. It's also so easy to establish or take back main aggro as a tank (literally one button) that anyone not doing so is purposely throwing a tantrum or playing poorly. The dungeons for the most part are designed for double pulls and any healer/tank combo has all the tools needed to handle these by 50.
Any tank refusing to do the tasks of their role in an attempt to "punish" the other members of their party is literally breaking ToS so good luck with that. If you don't want big pulls for some reason, clearly establish that to your party and if they don't want to go along with it then simply leave. It'll save everyone the headache and reports on both sides when the conversation inevitably goes sideways due to egos, unless they start overtly harassing you.
Posting in a bait thread, let's go
I saw it on light DC all the time because I'm doing it myself.
It's obviously not something that everyone simply starts doing, but learning to pull fast as a tank pretty much eliminates the need for dps or healers to pull anything. The sooner one learns this, the better.
I won't agree with the statement that most players don't know there is a chat as it's a rather huge HUD element, though I do know a minority of players turn off the chat box. I can't speak as to how you interact with other players in dungeons but I will just say if the vast majority of your interactions result in this apparent frustration you have to acknowledge the comment element and reflect on it and think on how to improve it in the future.
The one silver lining about Duty Support becoming a standard option is that now single-pull tanks will have a safe environment to better learn their kits and maybe one day feel confident to do the playstyle considered standard by the playerbase.
It's boring to heal small packs.
what i mean by that is they never use it.so it looks as they don't know its there. all i want from people is to be nice say hi at the start and we all run on. but when the first thing you get is move it slow ass. it some what not nice. may even say rude. i improve it by really go solo. i at last getting a party of 2 more before i go. save me and some Randoms lots of BS.
so you ask not force. dont pull for the tank and do not pull the tank just use the chat. ask for it and see what's up.
