Instead of cutting Ultimate from 5.5 why not cut bozja?

It also isn't logical to prioritize content for a large group over content for a small group. First, you must look at the frequency of released content. There is something to be said about the fairness towards ALL kinds of players. Through this logic, we should never seen an Ultimate ever again because there is always some content which will appeal to a larger audience. It only makes sense guys! The second thing that can be said about that is that Ultimate is not just some content for a very small group. On Twitch is garners the most views ever. Each Ultimate there is an incredibly hype around this game on social media. Not only this, but I must wonder if the 48 man savage content will in fact have a larger attendance and clear rate? I wonder how many Legend titles there are out there and compare it to people that have the Ozma mount. I'm willing to wager you'll have a fair fight on your hands. The truth is, most of you don't know what you're talking about.

Delaying any content at all benefits no one, least of all SE. It is perfectly logical to prioritize a new expansion release over a raid most will never do. It isn't something I necessarily agree with myself, but it's really not hard to see why they made their decision.

Discussing whether one idea or not though is better ultimately comes down to how widely accessible the content is to the player base. They could've and what I feel should've been implemented from the getgo since they elected to 'simplify raids' is to adopt the challenges system they have present in weekly targets for BLU, for those that want to try raiding in.. 'Innovative' ways I guess. It sucks because the biggest issue is always going to be a development bottleneck; content is always cleared faster than developed.

On a joke side though.. Thousand times over you can take those crafting reworks back!!

But it means during all this time, they prioritized all this fluff stuff over actual content. Content that has not been in the game for so long. Even then, I took it on the chin. But for SE to come and say this so late into the tier is a disgusting move. I would not have spent any money on this game if I didn't think I needed to get BiS for Ultimate. It's shady and I as a customer feel blatantly used through omission of information. People keep moaning about covid-19 and SE. I have a difficult time too during the pandemic! I would have spent the 50 euros I could have saved on something else instead. Now to me it's just wasted money. I immediately quit, haven't even finished the tier as I don't care.

Well i asked the same question earlier (how many % of players is going to clear DR Savage) and it’s conveniently ignored (or dodged).
When they first said there would be no ultimate in 5.3 i was expecting the dev team to still work on it and only delay the release. Turned out that they just throw the new ultimate behind their mind for long enough that they couldn’t finish it without impacting the development of the new expansion.

I'd ignore that troll, I called them out on savage and TEA statistics and they had no real rebuttal and just likes to hear themselves talk non-sense.

Many casuals in NA are tone deaf saying reckless things without any facts like no one does savage and yet the statistics handily prove that just about every JP server falls within 25-30% of players clearing savage. Heavy endgame NA servers like Gilgamesh and Levi are close to that. Then you have the Crystal data center which is in it's own bubble to care about ultimate on a total level.

Eureka and Bozja are a nice contents changing from our habits with Trials and Raids, but they have unfortunetely many flaws.

Over 60,000 people have the Ozma mount according to Lalachievements, on the other hand, 1460 people have cleared Delubrum (Tracked via Cerberus mount), still new content so this isn't really anything to judge. which is fairly reliable to track since mounts are publicly available information regardless, but achievements for Ultimate on the other hand are in some cases are not publicly trackable so that's always going to be inaccurate, but going by this approx 9-11K holders per encounter. Likely a lot of player overlap, however.

Nah nobody at all did Eureka content at all, it was content that was completely dead with nobody participating at all (/s). I do stand corrected though it's 48K, but either way hard to make a compelling case against it since it's just as significant. People just underestimate how far and wide discord and such take such content. Give it some time and Cerberus is likely to follow a similar trend to Ozma; people will get more augmented gear, and relics which is likely to provide a bonus similar to that of Physeos weapons which will only make it easier to clear with a pug.

It was always going to be a no-win situation. You please 1 side of the community, and in doing so make the other side unhappy, and vice versa. It's not even a given that delaying Bozja or cutting it would allow for room to have Ultimate developed on-time in the first place.

If the minority vs. majority thing was true, I would be sure Hrothgar and Viera could be able to wear hats right now.

"But SE said they would never wear hats!" sounds like pure laziness to me. Especially when we have seen Viera in other FF games wearing hats, and the new DR armor being now seen on Hrothgar.

But the mounts show exactly how many people have completed it at least once, since you can't hide mounts. You can hide achievements.

I have learned that there no reasoning with this child. Last night was the last time I'm engaging with this troll because he a waste of time and energy. Assuming you have no alts you take through the content. It's not a one step option for some of us. Relic content should be done in zone like Eureka. They've actually made it easier to do some things out of zone which is ridiculous in my opinion. The lame stuff we got to do because some complained they didn't want to actually do the developed content and instead run the same old stuff we have for ages.

Promised as in stated to be released during the live letter. They promised both, but DR was for 5.4 and Ultimate was for 5.5. So DR and Savage has priority by virtue of having been planned to be released earlier.

And are you comparing SE making DR (Savage) and delaying Ultimate to the problems of 1.0? Because I don't think they're comparable.

And as for WoW, I think FFXIV has done a good job of copying many features from WoW. But in terms of specific contents, as a WoW player as well, I would rather current WoW take from FFXIV than the other way around, like dungeon and raid structure. Again, it goes back to everyone having different ideas of what is best.

Why do you have to lie? I see people telling others they can unsubscribe from FFXIV if FFXIV isn't fulfilling their gaming needs and to find other games. That's not blindly defending FFXIV. What's ridiculous about it? If you only like a tiny portion of an ongoing game, then of course you're going to have long wait times. Even people who may like more content still have to wait 3-4 months between each major patch. That's the nature of an ongoing game.

So the solution is to find a game that provides enough of what you want or play multiple games.

You don't make a very compelling argument considering the tedium of getting into BA in the first place. Besides, you can't attack people for preaching the availability of casual content like Bozja in general over Ultimates, whilst simultaneously trying to attack clear rates of Ozma vs Ramuh. All you do in this case is argue yourself into a corner, which in itself is an impressive feat, well done! There are some issues with BA in the first place, wherein you don't get the mount or achievement if you get sucked out of the platform, which is an inevitability if you die, so arguably, even more, have participated. I love how we have devolved into complaining about the lack of content caused by a global pandemic. They probably cut out a bunch of stuff and Endwalker was pushed back to fall when all expansions have launched in Summers. I believe everyone needs to relax and do what they think is right. Pretty much. This kind of discussions, no matter how "well-intended" at first, always turn into a garbage fest of mud or excrement throwing of toxic casuals vs toxic raiders as these two micro factions scream (and insult each other) louder than the normal-tempered members of both sides together.
And I say that as a "filthy" low-skilled casual with a defining degree of laziness (and disinteresse) of gitting gud *shrugs*.

Unreals are kind of just the same old extreme content and mechanics, like the effort to rebalance to current gear isn't that large as making a near 20-minute ultimate with modified and harder mechanics.

Titan Unreal is practically the same extreme from 2013 just with retuned hp, and some legends hadn't been in the game when it was relevant. Not exactly a comparison. legend btw is a normal meme for any death made in any content.

Don't feel too reflective about it, this topic was a self-fulfilling disaster because ultimately the crux of it comes down to an unwinnable decision on the part of Square Enix, and one that would come down as a harsh reality for whichever party that would receive the short end of the stick.

No I understand that. I also remember as a compensation that Viera would be getting new hairstyles to go into the game.

Its just a shame that SE hasnt added a new hairstyle into the game since launch of ShB. Ever.

Adding Viera and Hrothgar was a mistake. As YoshiP said it just adds a lot of unnecessary work to develop new equipment. Shame how they decide to add those 2 new races instead of just creating more glamour items.
