There are only a limited amount of story quests. And people should not be changing zones all the time. The odds of those colliding with a queue pop is really low, so the 3 strikes per day are more than adequate insurance against that. So you earned 1 strike, it is not a big deal, you got a string of your story done quests done in exchange. This is a fair and reasonable exchange for reasonable tasks.Quote:

Upping the time to 60 seconds would still make shorter queue times than when it was 45 and people could abandon without penalty. This is a great suggestion, probably should've happened right along with the change to penalize people for ditching 3 times.

Another option would be to make dungeons work like frontlines where you can queue into it and then change job, but only right at the start. -

Unless queueing up would become gearset-dependent...it could work, any appropriate gearset would at least get you on the job, you can switch gearsets in dungeon as long as it doesn't attempt to change your job. That might be a bit complex though, and could in theory be abused if someone wanted. Queue up as tank, change job, put your only tank weapon on a retainer, then troll 3 people as you show up in a dungeon unable to perform the tank role.

The rules that apply to that 1 person in the cutscene apply to every other person that has been grouped together by the party finder. Again, extreme case, 4 people queued for DF and 3 of them are in a cutscene, that's 1 person left waiting on cutscenes which we have no telling how long they will be. And again, what if someone abused it and stayed in a cutscene and went AFK? That would never commence if it was put on hold.Quote:
