Actually, I do know your frustrations. I quested or joined pick-up parties for most of my seals when Scars first came out. You're just describing people who don't know what they're doing, and this is commonly the case in pick-up parties.

It would also be wise to hold back the Real Life card the next time you want people to take you seriously. I've been farming Abyssea for months with 3-5 other people in my LS.

It's not an endgame LS by any stretch of the imagination.

We all have busy real lives, and we accomplish what we can with the time we have together. A lot of it is done on the spur of the moment. Yet, we've completed dozens of +2 pieces. I myself have, at worst, full AF3+1 for all my jobs. I've +2'd half of those pieces over the past few months. It sure as hell isn't going fast, but effort over time yields results. And I'm a patient guy.

Don't ever assume that some nice gear here and there is evidence of a no-lifer. It's not hard for busy, motivated people to have fun and get things done these days.
