You are blowing an item you can make in 6 hours completely out of proportion. You are beyond oversensitive about it. Get over it.

This is such a stupid take. YOU get over it. Why do you have to fight people leaving opinions on an official forum? To me it looks like an issue you need to get over, not them. You are so oversensitive you are coming in here trying to stop anyone from leaving their own opinion. Looks to me like you are the one being oversensitive. Time does not mean the only factor, otherwise there are TONs of items these days that could simply be thrown into login points. Aeonics take little to no time either, AFK or purchase beads > kill easy NMs. So according to you its ok to put them onto login points. To be damned with the history of the item, the fact its in the lore, and so on.

Ok look I'm not gonna fight with someone who's fighting over nothing just one question for you does it make your charcter glow? Yes or no and if the answer Is no then I'll ask this why not finish the weapon instead of using a unfinished one? If looks matter the glow is part of that

Look, nobody gives a shit about your afterlgow. I had over two of them before your character was probably even created. Its not a consideration in the discussion and the only reason you're bringing it up is to try to gloat in a veiled way, pathetic in 2023 lol. We are all fighting over "nothing" on this board, its a 20 year old game that the very own company that runs it doesn't care about. Anything we discuss will be over "nothing" because barely anyone even knows this game is still online thanks to SE and their wonderful marketing.

The line is "can the real thing be told apart from the fake in any way?"

If the answer is yes, it's fine.

If you have an ageis and they have an aegist, we know who put in the effort to obtain an item and who spent their login points. Therefore in my opinion, it doesn't "minimize" your item, accomplishment, or investment, as you still have an aegis and they don't (unless of course, they have one of those too)


This is irrelevant. It's not the exact same item because it's not the exact same item. It has a different name, different stats, they can be posessed at the same time, etc.

It is a different item obtained in a different way with different attributes. That is good enough for me. There is no gray area here.

It's kind of like having two copies of a poster, one signed by the artist on the back and one not. People tend to place different values on something that is autographed over something that isn't. The two posters may look the same, but they are treated differently by different people. The same applies here.

You are entitled to your opinion, but for me you are wrong. They are essentially the exact same model with a slight shift in the face. The stats on the item aren't what my opinion is based on and I have explained that various times. I only mentioned the stats to explain to you why its still iconic and useful in todays game. For me, it is not simply about someone else pretending to have the item. Its about cheapening the image of the shield given that its in lore and iconic. You don't have to agree with my opinion but you aren't going to change it or minimize it by telling me I'm wrong.

I honestly feel like people are being purposely obtuse to devalue others opinions or forcefully change them. If only that logic worked in real life! You can take the exact same product and draw a smiley face on it and it would be ok! No copyrights need apply, its so a different item. Obviouisly if people saw problems with that, even though its not EXACTLY the same but looks similar, why wouldn't they have problems here? The same reasons, it devalues the original in various ways.
