I personally find no merit in this type of ability and would be sorely disappointed if we got a tweak to THF and i saw something like this.
Thief is one of the few jobs in this game that can get hate and actually survive a few hits without being a giant MP sink due to their evasion. The last thing i need is to have a THF Get hate and shed it and it go eat some mages face when the THF could have survived long enough to reestablish hate.
The idea was decent in theory, I simply do not feel i would like this type of update. I'm rather tired of THF getting a bunch of enmity traits, at least Collab/accompl help me tank, Last thing i need is an ability that I'll use maybe 1% of any situation i can name.
I may be biased because I'm a good THF, and generally I tank for my low man group, and i know if i get hate in other scenarios my evasion is enough to keep me alive.
So i must respectfully disagree. I'm sorry.
Edit: However to the above poster, While a 4k TAWS would do wonders at the beginning of a fight, once you both hit the Enmity cap it wouldn't matter :\, as hate would simply bounce back and forth.
