At any rate, you fight the same mobs for BB items as you did before (Ground Kings or KS99 Kings)--with lower droprates, even--this is simply a question of accessibility.

i always did support the entrance cap for Aby being 75. I just don't waste my breath posting about it because I know they never will. Seriously, tired of level 90 noobs trying to cover their inadequacy by walking around in godly gear/Atma that was simply spoonfed to them. This game is getting to be on par with Candyland, both for difficulty and player skill.

I tanked Karkadann, followed by Bukhis--successfully, without hiccups, with only a WHM to back me up, and a DNC to save the pop should I fail (I didn't). Show me a pink NIN who leveled the "right way" who can do that upon hitting 90.

Player skill varies, how you level has nothing to do with it.

Considering that Abyssea is childsplay when you have the correct Atma's, I fail to see how comparing yourself to someone who just entered Abyssea for the first time with Aurore gear on and no Atma's makes you "Pro". I also fail to see how Abyssea actually requires much skill at all, since WHM's can get unlimited MP and stats are complete God-Mode.

Abyssea is old content . Sky/abj gear is on the verge to beat some of the AF3+2 pieces (with augment), salvage will probably smash them if you try enough. Relic are clearly going to be new content (replacing empyreal wpns) seing how they eased the process of dynamis farming. All I see in the last VU are efforts to make old event back on top

No, the last update was to make old events somewhat relevant again. They even said in their own notes as far as sky gear went that even with Perfect hq they will AT BEST be as good as af3+2. Tell me, what augments on sky gear/abjurations have seen seen that have better stats than af3+2?

The purpose was not to illustrate that I'm "Pro". It was to illustrate that as long as you're not functionally retarded, you can do just fine at a job after dinging 90 and capping skills, no matter how you leveled it. I know 90 NINs (mainjob NINs, even!) who have been playing the job for years who still can't tank those mobs, even with a more lenient setup than what I used.

FFXI is not a hard game, and it never has been. The closest thing it has to difficulty is randomness and time sinks.

Probably something like 1 hkc=2 kc=4 ks=8bs, or something. Definitely would be able to transfer back, or rly there's not much point..

'Cause farming KS in Cape Terrigan is content worth saving.
