I play from middle east .. i Played WoW US .. didnt have that much lag as i find in FFXIV .. i believe this 2 cases have same theory
but blizzard know how to make good connection to their games. and seems like Square enix .. focus in graphics and forget hell out of the connection

i agree, ive been noticing more and more lag every week, at first it use to be just aoe lag but now im seeing other players completely stopping for a few seconds then tp to where they are meant to be when they are traveling, even sometimes when i use a skill in a larger fate it wont register for a few seconds. At first i thought it was me when i updated my routers firmware and everything and was going crazy and reverting it, glad its not just me going crazy.

insulting or not its a completely valid question, someone comes along complaining about how bad their lag was until you BOUGHT this WTFast now everything is alot better.......im well in my rights to ask my question

I have not used WTFast but a similar gaming VPN service and I can vouch that it does kill the lag immensely for myself. Before using it I was getting pretty big delays/lag spikes on everything (although I did get used to it and chalked it up to the servers being far away as I am in AZ) but once I started using the VPN I started to see exactly how bad the lag was. Red circles for example if I did not immediately move out of them I would get hit even if I was out of them versus now I have a extra second of wiggle room to move out if that makes any sense. (Even during congested server times) If I had to guess it's probably some kind of ISP issue as the other guy pointed out either with some bad hop or them throttling the game or something.

When we start the game up theres an info window, why cant se at least update its playerbase via this that way everyone will see it, aint that whatthis window is for, giving us info an updates on things? But nope se say zip about it and leave its PAYING playerbase in the dark guessing..
Alot of players will think it is there computer, when it clearly isnt for about 99% of us having these probs.

Fortunately, my latency has dropped considerably with the last reroute by TWC, so it's more manageable than most are dealing with still.

I'm using WTFast and I've been having a better time of it, but it isn't a total cure. I still get the occasional period where it's bad, like just now it's been awful again and I got a good ol' 90k. Weirdly, if it's bad, then 75% of the time the connection will be listed on WTFast as Tokyo. The majority of the time it's listed as Montreal it's fine. Weird.

But yeah, I'm using the free month of WTFast and then going back to normal, if Square haven't got their house in order by that point then I'm done with it.
