I get that this game is kind of a new game, but it kind of isn't. However I see a dev team obsessed with mounts and minions while players are growing increasingly bored. Fates are stupid.
There's not enough variety in this game, by a long long stretch.
At fresh 50, there's two dungeons to do. There's Wanderer's Palance, which most people skip -.- and there's Amdapor Keep.
A major problem here is that basically, it's "Do Amdapor Keep until you can't stand it anymore--and then do it a bunch more."
Sometime after getting some decent gear from those 2, you can do Ifrit (you *can* before there, but you really shouldn't. If you're a 4k paladin, or a 2700 hp healer, you're there too early. If you succeed, you got carried.)
After getting fully, or near-fully geared in Darklight, there's Garuda and Titan HMs, and of course simultaneously pursuing your relic.
And of course there's Coil somewhere around this point, but that's...that's it.
I can barely stomach even capping out on myths now, and I'm about 0/40 on Ifrits.
Yes, there's also CM, but honestly CM is the most boring raid I've ever played. There's virtually nothing remotely hard about it. Scaled for size, the final boss of Cutter's Cry (and CC's isn't particularly hard) and Qarn and most the bosses in WP and AK are much harder (and thus, much more enjoyable) than anything in CM.

On one hand, I agree with you, but on the other hand, we're getting essentially three new dungeons and a whole new raid in a little over a month.
In the meantime, it'd be nice to give people more of a reason to revisit WP (increase tomestone reward?) to break up the routine of AK/CM, but there's a whole bunch of new content just over the horizon.
I also find it hard to complain about having nothing to do if you haven't finished Coil yet, but being frustrated with the AK/CM tomestone grind is understandable. -

I always laugh at these types of posts, just like in WoW.
Devs release new content, people race to the end and burn through it and than ask why they don't have more content....
Level all DoL, DoH, DoW, DoM.
Help others out, level your chocobo, etc, etc.
Still tons to do. -

After 3 runs, we had it on farm and haven't looked back. Either you've got a really bad group for Ifrit or just a string of bad luck. Gear is a non-issue on that fight.Quote:

My brother was telling me how much fun crafting was and I kept putting it off. I started crafting and became addicted, not only is it very fun but you get a lot of money doing it even at low levels.

When I was talking about Ifrit, I was talking about people who basically ding 50 and queue for it. I generally have good luck with Ifrit, but my most recent two runs, the healers let *both* tanks die, because they couldn't keep them up. The MT in both runs was a warrior, the first had 7k hp and the second had 5k hp, so naturally my paladin was stunning, and I wasn't missing Eruptions.
And yeah, I'm about 0/40 on getting my Ifrit's Blade myself. I know ifrit weapons aren't remotely necessary for AK.
So yeah, you can actually be undergeared for Ifrit. It almost takes effort to be that lazy, but people do manage it.
And to people saying this is a new game.
THIS IS NOT A NEW GAME.
Actually, much of the content is from 1.0, overhauled, but still from 1.0. You're giving them a free pass on how little they've actually added. I also can't help that I'm already at endgame, have both my subs leveled, and have am working on subs for my white mage because leveling is that obscenely easy.
The fun in XIV certainly was not to be in the leveling, but neither, so far, is it in capped content because level cap has two instances to do. (Again, I haven't done coil yet and CM is idiot-proof)
