I hear ya it's cool. I agree the job has lots of room to flesh out. Also the Chinese vs. Japanese thing isn't really something to worry about in this game. We have tons of Chinese inspired equipment and the devs aren't shy to including various cultures into their game. Final fantasy has always been a mess of different cultural and mythological references. A lot of creative liberties are taken with them but they persist. Anyway, I think the elemental infusion and counter attack gameplay would be the main focus of the jobs combat design more than the weapon. The weapon i just feel fits a tank focused on mobility, crowd control and flashy damage.
