All Alliance Gear Should Be 2-Dyeable

I think alliance raids would be a lot more fun if all of the alliance gear released across the expansions could be dyed. Not just dyed, but two-color dyed.

Crystal Tower series, NieR, Ivalice, all of them.

That way, more players would be playing the Alliance raids to get their full sets instead of passing on everything. The two-dye system is a blessing and alliance roulette is one of the most played roulettes of the game.

I keep looking at that gear thinking what a shame it is that it's not dyeable. Plus lower-level players would have two-tier dyes to enjoy.

It would certainly have a lot more people needing and greeding on items.

All gear period should be 2 channel dyeable.

2 is not enough!

If you get use to a normal 3D model workflow, you have every part of a model seperated!
Than you use texture and coloration on that parts sperate. Like "Belt", "jacket", "shirt", Buttons" and so on.
You simply give the user a small tool that you can change the color of that parts, so you must not even work in groups!

That would give us as much options as needed and even more could be done that way!
Do you dislike the "belt" why not make it invisible! You don't like the "mechanical Arms on the back" and the "headphones" of the crafter set in 7.2. Make it invisible!


The whole system with 2 colors i lazy! We should expect more from a mutli million dollar company who want 60$ (4months subscription) for every patch! Thats one AAA game per patch! Where is that effort of SE?

Alliance roulette deserves the two-dye system more than most of the gear sets out there. Gotta start somewhere, right?

Yes, and we need an accessible way to farm glam from AR too.

I know it's not 100% ideal, but you can get old CT glams in different colors from PVP.

problem is the amount of data.
If you have for example 5dye slots for each gear,that'll be atleast 2.5times more data each character is going to carry.
If you play games with many customization options you'll know that they tend to struggle loading many players at once.
Like in PSO2 or BDO if you go to big cities other players will be invisible or placeholder model for like 20sec.

its ridiculous getting new gear without any dye channel. no matter where you get it.

The Ivalice sets are still among the best-looking gear in the game three expansions later. Being able to dye them would be fantastic.

Right?!

Crystal Tower would be amazing too since it is recognizable in FF offline games.

And NieR isn't my favorite game but it has some great gear sets that should be two dyed

2 dye channels are already kinda limited, considering armor pieces use 16.

Maybe they should consider removing dyes from the game and just let you dye stuff without them too.

Agreed. But keeping it undyeable gives them an excuse to reuse those sets again in future content and make dyeable versions. I'd rather they didn't and just make everything dyeable but that appears to be their MO.

Adding in my two cents, I played PSO2 and it does take forever for character models to appear. That's due to the amount of data.

Sure it's fun to customize your character to great lengths, but an entire city of just invisible people and nameplates is kind of silly.

I would think this, but I've been waiting ages for them to recycle the Weeping City sets as I have the original, but they've never been dyeable several years later along with like the Cosmos gear.

Yeah there's a lot of great gear that has been lost to the sands of time. Who knows when we'll ever get a chance to revisit them.
