Gotta keep you subbed tho
Sad RNG of it all
But hey! books add up
and once 6.45 comes you can get upgrade mats from having 3 coins of A-Raid and Nuts from HT
Sucks I agree. and Im sorry
But RNG is RNG unless you pay others for Loot!
Best of RNG to you
they did, im pretty sure they reduced the page cost of everything except chest+weapon
I kinda wish they would turn the loot system into something that is like the alliance raid/normal raid system, where you can roll once a week on one piece of gear. That way, at least in pf, everyone (also maybe make savage so you can do it multiple times when you haven't gotten your loot) can get their loot.
The system we have now is bound to make some people really happy and some people insanely miserable.
that would only work if a whole lot of people suddenly get a lot cooler about helping/guiding new players w/prog and if there was an additional benefit to running it again even after you've hit your weekly limit. otherwise it would just end with a few statics getting what they need at the start of the week and then it just being entirely dead.
I mean currently there is also no real reason to run it more than once a week, right?
In case of the way i suggest it would actually probably increase activity cause people who don't get what they want could do the raid again until they got the loot they wanted from it. Of course that would mean that people would get their full sets more quickly, which i don't see really as a problem cause that is well the goal afterall, right? The games goal shouldn't be to make people suffer as long as possible in a raid tier cause they get unlucky.
It also would help people obtain gear for their other jobs, so they could try out different jobs/roles thus also increasing activity.
They could at the VERY LEAST add an optional loot rule to prevent the same people winning multiple things.
I don't really mind walking with zero loot a few times in a row, but is very disheartening to see one single person leaving with everything at once while the rest of the party with the pity books.
I still say the fact that theres no higher end content to warrant the savage gear grind speaks for why the community is so stingy in PF. Albeit its not ultimately their fault, just that this is all the hardcore players get so they have to make the most out of that gear to be valuable.
Really wish they'd do a mythic plus system were they just recycle and remix older content to require close to BiS to make Savage worth it.
I didn't realize Savage had systems like that. I wonder if personal loot would be a better option. Instead of losing rolls. You'd just get the gear. Or making it two books a run. Either way, it sounds like hell.
Yeah but you talked about statics but statics are anyways not bound to the PF which is the problem at hand, right? A static has not to deal a lot with the bad loot distribution cause they, usually, make up their own plans when it comes to that and can follow it. PF is just normally a free for all rodeo.
So giving Savage for PF the same loot rules as the normal raids/alliance raids would actually increase the amount of people playing it cause most of the times they still won't get what they want but in the case of what i suggest they could retry the same raid in the same week with would make them also group up with others again. Atm you just reclear once and you are done for the week.
Not getting loot is what books are for.
Used to be individual gear dropped, not coffers, and there were no books.
I agree, and don't mind having that as a consolation prize, but don't you think it's unfair that a single stranger can literally win everything at the same time against other 7 people? (I would bet that people roll need even when they actually don't need the loot)
If it was just 1 item per person (or at least the game offered an option to change the loot like that), you'd guarantee that at least half of the raid wouldn't get out empty handed.
I think this is a misunderstanding of the consequences.
The current weekly limit system already has a similar effect on PF availability — high-skill players who clear quickly (and would be happy to join more prog / clear PFs just to play more high-end content each week because they enjoy it) end up rapidly leaving the pool of prospective players each week once they shift into farm / reclear parties, because they're basically punishing you (with reduced loot) by showing up in your party under the current system, so they by and large don't bother unless the PF has a large "0 chest" type of disclaimer on it.
As usual, this is qualified as "my ancedotal experience", but every time that Savage finally opens up at the butt-end of every tier cycle, prog and clear PFs get flooded with experienced players jumping in just for the hell of it because they're no longer lootlocking people by doing so.
If Savage used the Alliance loot system, those players could join freely from the beginning of a tier without feeling like they're "taking something" from the players that they're trying to help. However, it also has the advantage of mitigating the "loot spam" that results at the end of a tier from just uncapping Savage completely, so it's a middleground in terms of artificially-extending longevity.
After 5 weeks i got 1x Legs, 1x Ring and 1x Upgrade item... and only the upgrade item was useful for me. (I shouldn't roll for the another stuff but i had 4 weeks nothing...)
I self was the last three tiers in a static where i didnt had to face this kind of issue, but now in my first time doing PF without a static i just gave up.
The experience i got from PF and the Loot system ruined me completely, i have no clue how ppl could enjoy this kind of system or even have fun with it.
I will try to find a static again, but the main reason for my to try pf was the flexible raid times wich make it difficult for me to go in a new one.
I don't really believe SE change this system but i hope ppl understand that its feels horrible to put effort in a clear just to get out empty over and over again...
I mean, we'd then be partly bottlenecked by people's desire to help others for the heck of it, which we can argue is rather limited, sure, but...
We're already presently limited by:
- the desire to help others for the heck of it,
- the literal inability to help others clear without hurting their loot,
- the literal inability to clear out of order without losing your and hurting others' loot.
That one-third of the issues would still remain isn't a reason not to get rid of the two-thirds that can be gotten rid of.
You got your books. Books are loot. We take those. Would just be nice if we could trade for a raid or tome piece with them.
