Both the dungeon and the trial of 6.2 where great.

I hope that whoever designed the trial and dungeon get to design the next ones.

The fights where good enough to keep you on your toes. But not so hard as to being impossible to clear blind. Good balance. And I can imagine the trial would be a nightmare to clear on savage. (as it should).

Agree 100%. Both were a lot of fun and really cool thematically.

I enjoyed facing a female boss that didn't do the uwu "I'm a pretty sorceress" pose.

I am glad they added mechanics with consequence back into boss fights with this dungeon, felt good knowing if I mess up, I can actually die. I haven't healed it yet, but outgoing damage from the bosses looked higher so maybe a little more healing intensive too which is always a good thing. The dungeon is probably my favorite thus far and the trial was a blast with all of the movement. Definitely a huge step up from what we were given in 6.1.

I healed the trial on my first run and yeah, you're kept busy. :)

I love AoE hell boss fights. Barbariccia was the most fun trial boss I've done so far in EW although I'm extremely biased at how much the FFXIV rendition of "Dreadful Fight" slapped.

But this also goes with why I liked the Magus Sisters dungeon boss in Tower of Zot because you spent so much of your time dodging, reacting to aoe patterns while trying to do your rotations.
I wouldnt want every boss fight to be designed like this, but I absolutely love it when they sprinkle it every now and then.

The dungeon was really, really pretty. Excited to have that on expert roulette for a while to come hopefully.

Maybe I am blind, but I don't see a thread about not liking the new dungeon. I did see the thread about someone complaining that the EX fight was too hard or whatever, but that is expected after every patch.

The community bitching about MSQ content being too haaaaaaaaaaaaard happens after every patch though. Any thread praising it would by necessity look like a response to the instantaneous "this game requires me to have a pulse, NERF NERF NERF!"

I honestly wasn’t a huge fan of the dungeon. It wasn’t bad by any means, but to me personally it was actually very predictable and not challenging. The first boss feels like a trash pull. However, the fight with Barbariccia was fun and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

hated the first boss ye but I loved the aesthetic and music of the dungeon. Spent the past couple days grinding for the whole healer set (minus the skirt cuz its ugly) and I really like every dungeon set. Just wish they could dye.

Barbariccia normal felt good to run. Lots of AOEs, and decent number of DoTs that require healing. As a healer, it felt better than patch 6.1. I got to use my entire healing toolkit, and then a bit more in case of mistakes from rapid mechanics and lots of multi-hit mechanics. It feels much better in patch 6.2

Though, it's still very early into the patch. That may change once we get ilvl 610 gear and above, which makes me very worried. I know gear sync is already non-existent in Aglaia - a friend of mine took their warrior into the alliance raid with the new ilvl, and they bragged how they took the tankbuster solo - which only took 3% of their HP while the other tanks with old gear lose like 50% of theirs. I know this is content from a patch ago, but that's not a good. Gear ilvl sync needs to be adjusted to keep the feeling of the content still on the player's toes, not be entirely invalidated. That just leaves the healer being useless again. Hoping this doesn't happen to 6.2 and future patches. Gear ilvl sync being too far up makes the whole "trial" pointless. The boss can't even show a couple of actual mechanics that require intensive healing before getting destroyed to the party's damage.


The Final Boss of the Dungeon in patch 6.2 was good. Music made the fight fun as well.
I understand what they were going for in the first dungeon boss, mainly because the second boss is a joke in its own right and doesn't have a 1st boss to command. It was a nice change of pace, though the adds were more of a joke if anything. Didn't really hurt tanks much.

I really liked the dungeon and the trial. I was pleasantly surprised that it had some teeth.

I liked it, but the first dungeon boss is gonna get old quick

Since 6.2 is an ff4 reference smorgasbord they coulda used the Dark Elf from the magnet cave as the first boss. Not a huge leap, Barbariccia was an elf before she got darkened, but w/e.
The first boss on really blows on healers cuz you only have 1 aoe attack every other job has 3 or more aoe options.

I liked the dungeon well enough, but as a healer main I can’t say the damage going out felt appreciably higher to me.

Now, conversely, the new extreme trial has higher healing requirements than I think we’ve seen in an extreme in a while… and possibly higher healing requirements than last savage tier, for that matter. (Though some of that may be that folks are mostly in the new EX at min ilevel; the damage might get a lot softer once folks are gearing for savage.)

I appreciate that they are trying something different than kill this singular enemy. Maybe we can start to see more inventive bosses in the future with some more experimentation involved.

Yeah the trial was a blast even tanking it. I will probably hop on SCH to heal the new dungeon to see how I feel about it this weekend.

I hate the first boss of the dungeon so much, I can't think of a single sane person who thought "Wow, Amaurot's second boss was so fun! I hope they do more bosses like that!". Little bit sad that we didn't actually get to run to the castle instead of just going through a zone but eh whatever. I liked everything else about the dungeon though!

Barbie was a god damn blast and I greatly enjoyed the whole fight, hopefully we get more fights like it that require a pulse.

The first boss was indeed a sad joke, but the dungeon overall is great. Trial is good too, but the real fun starts with the extreme version.

I did the EX a few times last night, love it, best of the four EXs in my opinion for the moment.

The trial is great - 10/10 no notes.

The dungeon looks great, and I like the bosses with add phases for a change of pace. The only issue I have is that it's definitely undertuned when compared to Alzadaal's Legacy.

It's obviously dependent on the tank you get (both class and player), but I've found I actually did less healing in the new dungeon than I did in the 6.1 dungeon.

That said, I like the aesthetic, and the 2nd boss had some pretty interesting mechanics. I enjoyed it overal.

The dungeon itself is same old same old design. The boss fights alone don't change that. If that was all it took they could have just been a series of boss arenas with nothing between...

When was the last dungeon that wasn't a linear path with 3 bosses and 2-3 mob pulls in between?

That FF4 Boss theme remix in the dungeon goes hard and makes Expert Roulette fun

A Realm Reborn, and we already know how widely despised those are.

To be honest, even with my condition, I was able to get all of the MSQs done, even the solo duty. I rather enjoyed them as well. Now, I know for sure that there is no way I'd be able to do the Ex but that is ok. The Ex is not part of the MSQs so it won't be a roadblock for me and quite frankly it is good that there is a much harder version for the better players out there.

Trial was ok, dungeon was ass. Nothing new or interesting with the pulls yet again. Boss damage with raid wides and tank busters continue to be embarrassingly low with fairly predictable mechanics.

I’ve ran it with all roles and not once did I feel it was fun enough to deserve the praise it gets

Because I can watch a sweet music video while running it, admire my newest glamour's aesthetic, and realize I like the theme of the music video I was watching as I spam my AoE as a tank.
