MSQ Roulette Causes Tension
MSQ is causing some social tension in our FC. It's fairly good experience, although that is up for debate, but it means that some people feel forced into doing it, others try to attend but spend as little time as possible actually engaging with the content, and others just flat out refuse to do it.
Universally, we agree that they are not fun and feel like a necessary evil that we must do to progress our classes. I had a thought that maybe Trust would be a good system to implement into it for the sake of making it available for people who still need to do this content which is very, VERY old now.
I'm also reminded of Season 2 of the Living World from Guild Wars 2, that content is no longer playable at all, but instead has a series of videos depicting the event and what happened.
I dunno, I'm feeling a bit put out at the moment after having a bit of a grumble with some FC friends...apologies for the rant.
GOING AFK MEANS CONTENT IS BAD = FIX IT

Its optional. No one has to run it once they pass it. I run it for EXP and just watch cartoons or youtube or cook while its going.
I would argue that the fact this is "Another" post about the MSQ roulette being painful proves that this is indeed a real concern for many people, and DOES infact require some attention.
As you yourself said (as well as many others in this post and others) they queue for this to literally log out and watch TV, that's not PLAYING the game. That's letting the game essentially bot itself as u trickle through it barely paying it any mind. That's bad content design. Just giving us a HUGE reward because they know the content is painful is not really a fix, is it?
I'm not one to just complain and tear peoples posts apart without also suggesting what I would like to see happen so, in my personal opinion, I would just like to either see the dev's shorten the cutscenes, turn some of them into conversations that happen while you are walking from <fight A> to <fight B>, or just simply allow for the scenes to be skipped if everyone already has completed the dungeon. I'm sure some people will argue this would lead to people just kicking the person who is new, or leaving after 15 minutes; but I'm really not sure what other "cheap" dev fixes you could come up with to make the content engaging! It's a boring slog, the dungeons are plain outdated and outmoded at this point. AT the very least they could break Preatorium in half.
{throw in the MSQ trials Garuda Normal/Titan Normal/Ifrit Normal into the mix (I just hate getting those ones when I'm doing leveling roulette feels a waste of the roulette xD)}
