How many likes and threads do we need to have to get a response for the chat issue?

I am confused at this point why there has not been a single post on this issue yet. Why are we being ignored?Do we need some kind of number of likes for a thread explaining why taking away the chat was a bad idea? Or number of threads?

Mocking the idea of limiting no chat for PvP and not PvE. In my experience PvE is more toxic. (New healer tells tank to slow down pulls, no reply and makes huge pulls, wipes, people mouth off to the healer, etc)

A newer thread explaining part why this is an issue to begin with. a big point that is missed though how the game does not have any in game guide on PvP differences vs PvP, like distance effecting damage, what purify is, how healers might mistake purify is bugged because the in game tip is confusing and does not really explain well it can be used on others, 7 likes

This is possibly one of the worst decisions SE could EVER make in regards to PvP

If people here instead of making multiple thread about the same thing condesate everything in one thread maybe you guys will get a better chance of getting a response

I mean SE ignored us for the longest time to get rid of GC restrictions in frontlines (thank god they finally did it), so who knows how long it'll take for them to put chat back into feast if they ever even consider it

sorry i only came on here because of the PvP chat thing, where is the live letter that said this change was being planned?

It was also mentioned in XXXIV, but I think XXXIII is the more interesting for this one. If you can speak japanese, feel free to try and translate what he says - the unofficial translation ( https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...4bpsBeJAQ/edit ) contains the note the chat was disabled because "it contained more harassment than strategy".

It's pointless to argue against the data of the only people who have access to the complete data of something rather than anecdotal evidence. If you want to argue the claim, the way to go is to grab some fluent japanese speakers and prove word for word that they never said anything of the kind in the live letter and it's all been a mistranslation. And then we can go back to arguing why on earth they would disable chat in the first place and fun forum poster vs poster will be had. With unrestricted chat, guaranteed.

I do not think they do, they only go by REPORTS, as i been saying all along, DF is more toxic then PvP is, but in DF they expect you take it and not say anything, pvp though i bet it is reported more often

How much you wanna bet they also did not consider toxic chat based on throwing matches, if someone is doing that of course people gonna be out spoken on it

Also this resisted chat is still open to toxicity, I seen more with it then without. Spamming good job or whatever because no one changes to healer and losing, so on.

Yet all those likes could be from the same people on each thread. Why don't you guys just come together and make one thread.

as said it was done when the announcement was made, now that hey got ignored this happens.

Not only are we ignored on almost every single bit of input we make on PvP, if someone dares to put a thread on the General Discussion board instead, they shove it back in its hole, and don't even bother to respond to it. But, can we honestly expect anything different? This is the company who promised to take action in the case of Feast Harassment, but let a match thrower on Aether go unchecked despite literally thousands of reports.

Why are people defending censorship?

It goes without saying those are always options. I am well aware however that, even if it takes time, SE does in fact listen to players (sometimes). Otherwise we wouldn't have duels, wouldn't have the ability to buy primal mounts, dyeable raid gear, and so on. Thus I can, and WILL speak up if there's something I want or don't want.
