So is anyone else excited about the cross server party finder

I don't think Ive seen a thread on this, but I could be wrong I mostly look at the first page threads. But jw if you guys are excited about it and think that its been a well needed feature. Do you think if your on a smaller server that it will make it easier to do some of the content you've been wanting to do. Does everyone think that SE will set this up well and make it worth while for everyone. I am looking forward to it simply because I cant get over not doing all the old content level sync, I dont want to unsync it unless Im farming something, but even then I like to clear it sync first. So all those old primals from arr, and all the tiers of coil sync is something Im hoping this will open the doors for me to do. What about everyone else what will you use the feature for and are u excited about it.

Ragnarok PF is filled with everything during peak hours so I don't think we will benefit from it more like other server will benefit from us.
I am looking forward to it though.

I remember a friend of mine set PF for coil level sync and it got full really fast. Just people wanting to have fun.

I play tank, and wife heals, so wait time for us is non existent, but I am happy with the cross server because hopefully it will lower wait times for DPS people.

It is well needed feature. Currently my server as example you cannot get into any sort of content at all without having a group, this may help.

My experience of this feature in WOW was that it lead to a very toxic environment due to lack of any rep. repercussions for jerks.

Hopefully this will let me actually fill up PF's for the last few Coils. Unsynced PF got me all the way through T10, but then it went south.

What do you that people trolled because they knew they wernt gona see the people anymore or something ?

I think it'll be a net positive. I'd like to see something akin to their cross realm feature so lower pop servers can feel more full.

I'm simply looking forward to being able to do more things with my friends on other servers a bit more easily, as well as reuniting with and catching up with some of them too.

I think it'll be cool. I just wish they would make it so we could visit other servers, maybe pick 3 servers you could travel on or something like that. People's names would be an issue so I know it's a no go. Just wishful thinking.

Not sure if it still works but i remember in GW2 you could "visit" another server, which it was useful if you were planning to transfer servers and wanted to check the population beforehand (it didn't have the megaserver system when i played). But as far i remember the character names are cross-server unlike FFXIV, so that probably wouldn't work here.

I think Hyperion is a pretty heavily populated server, so Idk how much it will benefit me. But I'm excited for the people on lower pop servers. Shorter queues times can only be a good thing.

Precisely.

When groups are 'home' server only then any bad prep. jerks gain quickly get their name known and they become outcasts if they're really bad .. ninja looting is one of the main such crimes in WOW .. especially in end-game content. WOW's community is looked down upon as hugely toxic, and in part that's a reasonable view, but it wasn't always like that, the rot set in when cross-realm grouping was introduced.

Excited? No. But I welcome the new feature, for it will allows cross-servers pre-made Duty groups which may be useful outside peak time hours. What I'm happy about is the second consequential feature attached to it: the ability to blacklist cross-server wide :p

I'm looking forward to being able to play with my friend who is on Gilgamesh.

I heard that you can actually lock your party with a password, meaning you get to talk to people before letting them join or give it your friends from other servers.

Since shiva is "dead" @ PF most times(get a party of 8 to farm EX primals usually takes over 1h...), i am REALLY excited about it.
I thought i'll do a break till addon because we have savage complete and doing something else like primals takes ages to get started(=boring), but Cross-Server-PF will propably speed it up alot, so i'll resub alone for this feature.

I have friends (IRL friends) in other servers, so yeah :3 I like the idea.

In that case, the duty finder should already make for a very toxic environment - after all, the duty finder has been cross-server for ages. Toxicity however, especially in regards to loot, seems to be comparatively low. And that's despite tools like server change, name change and fantasia easily available. So I wouldn't be worried too much about this aspect.

Personally, I doubt much will change for me with this addition - I scarcely even use the party finder and even if I would, Balmung's is crowded.

This. Selfishly, I'll say I'm, at most,...interested in the new feature. By no means excited and even maybe slightly worried what it will lead to.

Since none of the EU servers lack players to do stuff, if their PF is empty it just means they have no one who is ready to bother with actually building a party.
So I worry it will just be tons of players jumping into Ragnarok parties instead of making their own..?

I also have had nothing but the worst experiences with literally everyone from Shiva I ever stumbled upon, and by keeping "German" off in DF I managed to mostly avoid them,
but with shared PF now, they might hop into international parties more since the system no longer sorts them out based on language :/
Not quite sure yet how I feel about that either .-.

Anyway. We'll see how it plays out, no point in worrying about it yet^^

You can already filter by language in party finder though.

I'm kind of excited for it. Outside of raiding days (like today), I'm awake from roughly 9PM 'til 9AM my time and I'm on a server built for normal people. I'm far from it, so if I can potentially get queues for things that take 30 minutes to 2+ hours because it's 4AM, I'm a little happy for it.

You only get queues in DF though, which has always been cross-server^^ So nothing is going to change about that.
The new feature is cross-server PF. It only connects servers on the same datacenter though, so it is still going to be players in the same timezone as you.
Now the few with odd playtimes from all servers on your datacenter can band together, sure, but peak hours are not going to change, sorry.

I for one LOVE this. I personally get upset when I see someone leave to Balmung/Gilga as those 2 are vacuuming players up. This will probably do a lot to help solve that problem.

That I understand, however, on my datacenter, other servers are active well into the times my server is very much not (like Gilgemesh or Balmung- Cactuar's PF dropoff time is late midnight and doesn't pick back up until early afternoon the earliest). I will still be able to possibly join up with them and still get said queues. :p I probably should have used better phrasing on my part.
