Patch 3.4 predictions

I was discussing with some of my friends, the Item levels that would be impletemented in patch 3.40, and this is what we came up with.

Before that, this is our opinion, it's not set in stone.

First off, we will start with the gear of dungeons

Dungeons

There is a clear similarity in the dungeons Item Level requirement and the item level of the gear itself, this being in Heavensward dungeons. To specify:

• Neverreap/The Fractal Continuum - Average Item Level:145 - Gear Item Level:160
• Saint Mocianne's Arboretum/Pharos Sirius (HM) - Average: 170 - Gear: 185
• Antitower/Lost City of Amdapor (HM) - Average: 180 - Gear: 195
• Sohr Khai/Hullbreaker Isle (HM) - Average: 200 - Gear: 215
• Xelphatol/Gubal Library (HM) - Average:210 - Gear: ???

Back into topic, you can see that the diference between the gear itself and the average item level requirement is 15, so we calculate that the gear for the new dungeons will be 225, though we think that it's too low for an dungeon item level due to how high it's going to be (With what i will speak further in this thread), we still think that it's acceptable, why? Well it comes to the next point, the Trials, i will speak of the Extreme ones only since they are the only ones that drop weapons.

Trials (Extreme)

• Bismark EX - Average: 165 - Gear: 175
• Ravana EX - Average: 175 - Gear: 190
• Thordan EX - Average: 190 - Gear: 205
• Sephirot EX - Average: 205 - Gear: 220
• Nidhogg EX - Average: 220 - Gear: 235
• Sophia EX - Average: ??? - Gear: ???

With the exception of Bismark EX, every trial fits the same as the dungeons before, the diference between Average and Gear is 15. So we were thinking that Sophia EX in the new patch will be:

• Sophia EX - Average: 235 - Gear: 250

Now why we think it's acceptable for dungeon gear to be 225... Because of the Average of Sophia EX trial. Imagine this... One person that geared themselves up with dungeon gear then suddently decides "Oh i want to do the extreme trials, and the new one is out, what item level is it needed? Oh i am that level, let's do it!".
Though we agree that trials should be more aprochable to new players... we don't agree that they should be just enough for people to do Extremes, true the 225 gear will allow them to do Sephirot Ex and Nidhogg EX, but by now there are alot of guides and with people that know the fight, it's easy, so the Dungeon Item Level is good as 225.

Note: I know that a lot of people haven't completed Sephirot EX or Nidhogg EX, but that doesn't stop them from trying.

Alexander (The Creator) & Tomestones

Now i will talk of Alexander and Tomestones, i speak of both at the same time because the numbers are mostly similar, but i will start with Tomestones

• Tomestones of Law - Gear: 170 - Upgraded: 180
• Tomestones of Esoterics - Gear: 200 - Upgraded: 210
• Tomestones of Lore - Gear: 230 - Upgraded: 240
• ??Tomestones of Scriptures?? - Gear: ??? - Upgraded: ???

The interrogation points are because i am not sure if they will call it that or just Scriptures. Anyway... As you all know, the diference between the gear and upgraded is always 10 Item levels, but you can see a similar going with the gear itself of the diferent tomestones, the diference of Item Level is 30. So what we calculated is:

• ??Tomestones of Scriptures?? - Gear: 260 - Upgraded: 270

When looking at these numbers we thought that they were a bit exagerated... but in a way it fits the implementation of new tomestones, as they always grow the level of the item level by a lot, which will help in the completion of new challenges they will provide us. Now i will jump quickly to Alexander normal:

• Alexander (Gordias) - Average: 170 - Gear: 190
• Alexander (Midas) - Average: 200 - Gear: 220
• Alexander (Creator) - Average: ??? - Gear: ???

With Alexander, we thought that the diference is a bit unstable, but it works to the other item levels we talked about and will. The diference between the gear and average is 20 and the diference between the average is 30, so that would leave The Creator to:

Alexander (Gordias) - Average: 230 - Gear: 250

Now Savage:

• Alexander (Gordias) Savage - Average: 190~205 - Gear: 210
• Alexander (Midas) Savage - Average: 215~225 - Gear: 240-245
• Alexander (Creator) Savage - Average: ???~??? - Gear: ???

For savage it's quite hard to guess the Average, since the average is very unstable... but taking the ideia that Sophia EX would be 235 and that the Trial that was at the time during Midas releasse was Thordan... we can say estimate that the diference between averages would be 25, but by that logic we didn't get anywhere... but no fear! We estimated in another way.

Thinking of it like this, the Savage gear tends to be the same level as the Upgraded Tomestone, so this is 270 Item Level, making the Savage weapon 275, going by this logic, we can go back to the Average, the diference is 20~25 but it still seems high so we go as a maximum of 30, so by those calculations, we can assume that it would go like this:

• Alexander (Creator) Savage - Average: 240~250 - Gear: 270-275

It's quite high of a item level but it seems fitting to Savage.

Since i might as well include everything, i will add what we think the next 24 man Raid will be

• Void Ark - Average:175 - Gear: 200
• Weeping City of Mhach - Average: 205 - Gear: 230
• ??? - Average: 235 - Gear: 260

The average is that high because we think that by the time it comes out, people will be weeks in on Scripture, alexander and crafted gear.



Well This is all i have to share, this is all our opinion, and i thought i could share it with everyone, if you have your own ideas, do share, we would be happy to listen and adapt our knowledge to your own.

Im wondering about the mention of Crafted Weapons.

They will have to be something like i235 considering they can be HQ and pentameldable.

Indeed, but we need to have a small basis of information beforehand before predicting, otherwise we are no better than people in these foruns that speak without any foundation to stand on. We want to predict more things but without information we are just throwing it out there without knowing anything which is useless.

We heard that the weapons will be i250, might be rumours but would fit the previous patch where Alexander Midas Gear would be the same Item Level as Crafted gear and Eikon Extreme

Pos-Note: We talked about the crafted Weapons and we came into a conclusion that might be of interest! Due to the adding of the gear of Alexander (Armor and Accessories) and now adding crafted weapons for higher level, It would not be wise for them to be i250, since it could make Sophia EX weapons useless. So we came to the conclusion that i240 or i245 would be more than suficient for the Crafted Weapons, that way, it would still make sense for people to get Sophia EX weapons, which, by our calculations will be i250.

Well, Xelphatol will be about Ixali trying to summon Garuda. And as we know if beast tribes want to summon a Primal, they succeed. So we are going to get our 4th Garuda fight. Granted, these aren't the exact same Ixali we have fought before, so this might not be the same Garuda either. Perhaps a hint of things to come in 4.0

Maybe. Yoshie-P did say that going to the moon is on the to do list. Time to whack Elidibus. At the very least we might further explore the fact that primals depend on how you remember them. So we can have a dozen completely different Garudas or Ifrits at any given time.

I don't know. I'm thinking this whole arch is going to end with the Warriors of Darkness getting to this Garuda first, with the finale being our fight with them instead.

Perhaps. But I think we will fight the Adventurers of Darkness in a separate duty or even trial. Oh god it would be so freakin awesome to play as them. To see the other side of the story.

There will be new gear for PVP and Diadem too, and maybe new gear for PotD floors 51-100.

This is just supersticion, but hear me out.

Since there are Warriors of Darkness, Who says that there can't be Darkness Primals? It's just an idea but they might make it, that way there is an excuse for stronger primals to exist?

Well when you put it that way, -BREATHES IN-

One, Diadem was failure for a few reasons. The enemies respawned to quickly on islands. Knowing multiple players would be roaming the areas, they didn't suspect players to stay in one place nuke enemies down on one island in particular, leaving the other islands rather useless since one was more optimal for being smaller. After recieving feedback all SE did to fix it was lower the rewards gear lvl. Taking that bit of information means this is what they most likely wanted to make, just players didn't like it for the reasons they wanted.

Two, No one predicted how airships would be until they dropped them and we were disappointed (at least I was) that we only send them out on secret islands, we don't ride them. If anyone was familiar with airships in previous ff games (not just 11) we'd assume we would ride them, but we are not. Knowing this, we can't can't have too much open mind-ness when it comes to these implications unless specific information is given. In other-words, we should've asked if we were able to actually navigate and ride with the airships to islands and explore these places with our characters for resources. NOT INCLUDING DIADEM. Or even messed with them asking how the controls would change when we actually drive them. HA!

Here's some info here i case you don't have any on Squadrons:

A: There were some setbacks in the planning stage, but we're expecting to have this ready for Patch 3.4 as of the current schedule. With that in mind, my prediction of Squadrons would most likely be a type of retainer venture minigame with a basic level system that will determine your squads success by percentage of completion, and we'll be sending the squads to either previous dungeons for lvling or new types of places for exotic items. Whether or not they will build on Squadrons as its simulation-content and it's not held any promises to the point we can bring our squads with us on dungeons is yet to be known.

Looking at how Sight Seeing logs were, this will most likely be one of those. I bet we'll find a series of events scattered on the land and we'll have to make up our own lore. If they went the extra mile they'll include a sequence where we match up the clues. Though this is a new concept they haven't tried before, after all, SE can't help but tell stories the way THEY want to.

Its a JRPG thing. You are there to experiencce their story. Western RPGs on the other hand give you all the freedom to do whatevever you want and no reason to care about any of it.

My thoughts on what the new ilvls could be... Considering we're getting Tomestones of Lore as the new uncapped and they're used to buy 230 gear which is upgradable to 240...

I'm thinking the new Expert dungeons might be dropping 235 gear, similar to how current Expert roulette gear is an upgrade from Eso Tomestones. Or if they keep the same as what they have currently, it should be 245 as upgraded Eso gear is 210 and Expert Roulette currently is a 5 ilvl upgrade to that...

Non-Savage new Alexander being 250, 270 from Savage, and new Tomestone gear being 260, upgradeable to 270.

I get the feeling it's gonna be a more graphic weekly agenda thing. The top left shows the roulettes, but also things like Mhach, Ramuh, Shatter and even T4 I think. As well as a weekly reset time. So for every of these cleared/grayed out you'll get a sticker to place on that bingo filed, with rewards for filing a line, filling 9 fields + something hidden.

This reasonning would be valid if it were the patch after the introduction of Tomestones of Scripture (so patch 3.5, same as patch 3.3 is the patch after the introduction of the Tomestones of Lore). The true analogous drops are those of the dungeons of patch 3.2 (i195) hence the new dungeons should drop gear i225 as stated vy the OP.

Oh your probably right. Dammit. My idea was too good. Like they'd actually allow us to have fun solving a mystery. Why not run trials and tedious dungeons over a weeks time? Ugh, I should've known better -_-

Anyways, yeah, it'd be too far fetched to say that the trials would require something special of you to do in these trials so I'm guessing its just a list of trials (perhaps the order don't matter?) you run to obtain a random item on the list an doing this after lining up stickers , limited to 9 places your locked out for the week. Obviously all the rewards would be cosmetic and a little miqote girl minion would be a final reward :p......or onyx carby, though thats too good a reward >_>

Bringing up an old topic... But looking through the 3.4 Patch Notes, it seems these were right, except the Expert dungeon gear which seems to be ilvl 225 and not an upgrade to Tomestone of Lore gear.
