And I've already seen parties asking for people who have done atleast 8 full clears and have EX Steps of Faith on farm.
That's....pushing it by a lot.

Probably joke PF's or people have cleared it and just want to farm it.
Happened with Sephirot after about 5 hours on Tonberry
Yeah there is already à clear video on YouTube.
I'm doing it with 7 people already ø.
Yup a clear within 3 hrs while I was busy myself with Unlocking my Expert roullete and Hildibrand quest...
I know, but you still can't expect enough players to have cleared said content right away and have it down on farm.
You see, I at firs thought it was a joke until I asked the person(who told me has has been waiting alone in the Party Finder for hours) that he was dead serious.
I think it's perfectly fine for them to set up party finders asking for people with so many clears and the ability to farm. What's not fine is if you're queueing in the duty finder or something and they automatically expect you to have it down.
Truthfully, you're looking at the midcore content that is added in the game. The good players will have that down within 24 hours. It's not too surprising, although the whole 8 times clear I believe is just a joke like some people suggested...
...however, I wouldn't put it past some hardcore folk to even ask that. It's been 8 hours the patch has been up. As soon as you can throw yourself against the EX, they do it. It also will help them if they're in the process of clearing Savage as the weapons are better than the 230s currently being the meta (Bar having killed A8S.)
So not too surprisingly, unfortunately. This was never meant to be something to last more than a few weeks.
You're right, it just pains me to see players expect the mass of the community to have everything down pat immediately, not everyone can be fast learners like most, took me a few tries until my friends and I completed ourselves, ran with a different party for a weapon and I saw a tank attack a SMN and SCH duo who where in for their first run, he didn't even specify in the PF that he didn't want first time players, just attacked them immediately.
Was he asking because he's actually done it or asking to be carried, lol.
Some people simply fail to realize that many of us actually have something called "jobs" that allow us to pay for our subscriptions. I could only just flag the fight before having to get ready for work this morning.
It's a lot to ask for, but it's not something you or I should be concerned with yet. There will be plenty of help. Some people play because they have different shifts or classes..while others actually take sick days...then there's people who just live at home..or time differences.
Our best bet is to just put up our own things and attempt to get through it with people who play at our pace for whatever reason that might be. I remember when Alexander came out, I went to work at 7 and came out of the server room at 12 / 1 picked up my phone and get texts from my friend about how far people have gotten. It's good though, they pay just like I do so there's always a common ground to meet on. They will be able to put guides up for me then after I go through a blind run or two!
I haven't even logged in yet (busy adulting ATM) but I am aiming to finish the story tonight and I do want a taste of EX. Though I imagine as per usual in Hyperion, they won't let me in a PF unless I've cleared and "no bonus" and know the fight like the back of my hand. Some of us weren't born awesome like others I guess?
I don't get why new Extreme trials aren't added to raid finder. That would actually be useful to the "midcore" population. We're right back where we've always been: can't practice in duty finder and have to rely on the whims of party finder.
I never understood these kind of threads, do you feel like someone asking for experience hinders your ability to set up your own learning party?
Even if someone feels like making a PF that says no roegadyns allowed, that's up to them, the whole point of PF is that you can set whatever rules you want and if people don't agree with them, they can just not join and make their own with just two or three clicks.
Some people however do have a life. FF is love, but not always life, js. Not everyone can grind literally all the content in 24 hours or less. Which is kind of stupid imo, cause then people bitch about being bored for the next 3 months or so, cause they finished everything in 1 day.
A few days, to a week is more reasonable imo.
But then again, I only got to play for 3 hours before heading off to my University, and won't be able to play until 10pm tonight, so I've not been able to dabble in Steps with everyone else D:
What divide the community?
If you want to learn a fight you make or join a learning party.
If you're close to clearing you make or join a clearing party.
If you already handle all mechanics and you just want the weapons you make or join farm parties.
There's no reason for you to join a farm party if you're learning, the content is new and there are plenty of people who would join your learning group if you made one, you have no business in a farming party if you haven't cleared.
So, we're just gonna forget the whole respecting other people in the community thing, aren't we?
Yes, it does actually hinder it to an extent, players new to the content will feel overwhelmed to the content they want to run, because they will only find parties asking for people who have cleared or have it down on farm, happened to me and the majority of the playerbase whenever new hardcore content gets released. I know quite a few people who didn't get to do Sephirot EX until it was open to the Duty Finder because even on the first week, they could only find PF parties asking for people who have it down to farm. It gives the idea that everyone should know what is what by day one and that's just not healthy to the general masses.
There's practice options? Where?
It took me 3 freaking hours to do normal today, what are these people.
Then again, a lot of people were very very inept in groups today as well, because i also spent an hour wiping on the second boss in Mhach because people couldn't handle the 2 mechanics of the add phase.
So, business as usual.
This people skip all cinematic of game, tha race of the first kill of server.
This is where you realise that those hardcore end game raiders really are that highly skilled and just consume content like this. It was a very very short time on my server for the hardcore groups to have Nidhogg Ex on farm from when the servers went up.
And if people want this level in play in PF and bring it themselves, then so be it. Its their PF, their rules.
IT'S FORBIDDEN TO FARM CONTENTS WHEN I STILL HAVEN'T CLEAR IT ! HOW DARE YOU MAKE A PF TO FARM. GET YOUR ASSES OVER HERE AND CARRY ME! NOW ! ALL 7 OF YOU!
On a serious note, I also fail to understand why cleared people can't make farm parties. It almost feels like OP want everyone in his server cater to his need.
Imo the bigger problem than the farm parties is the duration of the bonus, which promotes carrying. You get it done, the bonus is gone and you jump straight into the farm parties to wipe there more than in the clear parties.
Were the bonus few clears long it would motivate players with a clear to help in the learning parties, while making carrying more annoying to do, not to mention more people would have to actually practice the fight to remove the bonus.
At least there is a new system now to help players who haven't cleared said content and not get left behind by the entitled farm groups. Really dont want another Sephi ex where i struggled to get a group because people kept joining thinking its a farm group when i label PRACTICE....
Anyways its up to them if they wanna farm it and burn through content which needs to last another 3-4 months.

PF yesterday. lel.
After years of playing MMOs or even MOBAs I have learned that this kind of people are just bad, delusional players that think they are godly. Some of them are good indeed, but very rarely great. I just ignore them completely if possible.
And what if the leader was bad, do they make fun of them and kick them? Nope Lucky its not as bad as that on our server but we still have the 1 fail = kick types...soon as you tell them they failed you get booted out to..its just a raid why are people this horrible? And why are people this desperate to clear a raid?
What is the big rush to clear and farm a raid asap?
