Can't buy zeta replica?

I hope I'm missing something here, the patch notes say you can buy from Drake in Hyrstmill... but he doesn't seem to have them. I then thought maybe the option will only appear once you trade in your Zeta, but I did so and he still seems to have nothing...

is this a bug or supposed to be this way?? How do I get my replica?

I browsed reddit a bit ealier and they said you need your original Zeta in your inventory to get a replica.

The first time I went to see him I had it in my inventory. He had no options. That's why I then went and traded it in case it didn't want you to have two at once...

The option showed up for me after I equipped my Zeta and spoke to him.

I still have the option for Zeta Replica when talking to Drake o_o

Although I'm still doing for ilv 170 to 200

You still have a quest from the original quest line to do I see it on your minimap

If you mean that yellow one, that's a level 5 quest....

Hmm, that's not a single quest though, that's all the quests for all the other jobs. I'll try and sift through and see if there's anything I missed though.

People think I'm weird that I do whack-a-mole with every quest I see, even if I won't get any benefit from it, but it's exactly for this kind of reason that I do it.

Now people on reddit are saying you can't even get zeta without doing that quest so... I am at a loss.

That's not true. I had my Zeta before completing The Vital Title. It's simply the quest that completes the questline.

This is true. That final quest unlock the option to buy the replicas from Drake.
In order to do that quest, you have to still have your Zeta with you.
In short: all the players who made their Zeta but left without doing that last quest, and then gave their Zeta for the Anima today, won't be able to complete the quest, thus won't be able to get the replicas.

I just don't get why people skipped the last quest from the chain. It's litteraly "speak with 2 NPC next to each other".


Edit: Darkstride is right, I have misread what seida said. "The Vital Title" quest conclude the saga, but the Zeta is obtained the quest just before.

Uh, what I quoted above was the person saying you couldn't get the Zeta itself without that quest. That part is untrue. You get the Zeta and then complete The Vital Title to unlock the replicas.

Oh, right, I didn't read that correctly, sorry.
"The Vital Title" don't give any Zeta, it's the quests just before which does, indeed.

People didnt necessarily skip it.

Its just that unlike all of the past quests you have to have your relic EQUIPPED to actually receive the quest unlike all the previous ones. Since many of us got our Zeta when it was obsolete, they probably never actually equipped it and looked for quests.

I just got an email from the Game Masters team about losing my Zeta and they said they cannot recover it for me. Please help!

Aw geez, this really sucks for those who fell into the code-trap.

But, sounds like the devs are working on it. Shouldn't be too hard of a fix... they just have to make sure you completed the pick-up-your-Zeta quest and then make that a pre-requisite for the "The Vital Title" quest instead of looking-for-zeta-as-equipped to be the pre-requisite.

I'm sure they'll ensure that anyone who ever got a zeta will be able to get the glamour-zeta and not have it lost. Just sucks that you have to wait :(

Hopefully they can do that in a hotfix rather soonish.

It's not the way *I* would have programmed it... :D

The notice from the GM team is correct. Since turning in the Zeta weapon progresses a quest, the GMs are unable to restore the item at this time under our current policies. Should this change as a means of resolving the issue, it will be announced and the GMs will assist accordingly at that time. However, we ask that you please wait patiently until the fix for this issue is determined. We understand this can be quite an inconvenience in the meantime, since you are losing a weapon that you worked hard on, and we hope to be able to provide a resolution soon.

Would it be possible for once those of us who trade Zeta in can use the copies to complete the title quest?
I had completed my Zeta recently and since I have a WHM and DRG relic in the early stages the NPC's in question always have the red markers above their heads and I did not realize I had one last quest since I hurried along. Now knowing that the quest was incomplete I'd really like to complete it for the title. and for my replica of course...

It appears that Zeta weapon data (for those who've completed the quest chain properly) is permanently added in user data at the moment of trade and you can get replicas after losing it. Before that you can get replicas only with Zeta in your inventory.

I really hope they give us the weapons back so we can complete that quest. I'd hate to have to do a whole new Zeta to get that achievement. Though I'd be okay with only having my Ragnarok Zeta back.

But to clarify, even if you have the Zeta in you inventory UNLESS YOU HAVE DONE THE VITAL TITLE QUEST, the option will still not be available. The very first thing I tried was talking to him with it in my inventory.

they only need to change the requirement of "equip the Zeta-Weapon" to "complete the Quest XYZ" :)

I was way too broke to do a Zeta when it was "in" - I finished the quest, got the weapon and the title, and the "Zodiac Complete" on my screen - I figured I was done with the quest entirely, and I only wanted it for glamour. Now I'm being told to "just go ahead and do another weapon to Zeta" by GMs and customer service. That is their resolution. I hope GMs here are being honest and they're really looking into a fix.. I am just devastated.

Would you like it better if the devs give you the zeta back and reset your Anima quest back to pre step 1?

I'm pretty devastated too. I completed my Zeta pre 3.0 when this "Vital Title" quest didn't exist. They said they couldn't help me with that item... I really hope they're even considering helping us. It's my favorite weapon and I really don't wanna go back and make a new Zeta. Getting this new relic is going to take all my time.

To be honest if I was given that deal I'd take it. Running the 10 dungeons isn't a big deal. Just give me my Ragnarok Zeta back!
