Also I think doing it, at the coming expansion, is the best time, or you may have a risk to lost a good quantity of customer than we don’t feel equally respected as our German, and French counterparts.

I'm sure there's more than enough people they could find between EU and NA that is bilingual ES/EN XD if they do decide on a Spanish client, I'll be the first one applying for that bilingual translation position. >.>

I don't think you realize what you're getting yourself into...this game is HUGE and the amount of little things that need to be translated is damn near excessive. Add to that your translation can really go off the rails depending on which version you're translating from.
Here's a hint: Except for Urianger and Yugiri, everyone in the Japanese version speaks fairly normal Japanese.
In the English version? Everyone speaks like characters from Victorian literature at best and Shakespeare at worse (I'm lookin' at you, Urianger)
And given this "style" is also used in the DQ games and Ivalice final fantasies...ugh.

In short, how would you translate "anyroad"?

I'm a mother-language Italian speaker here, been studying English for 11 years now, and could really use a job! Please let me be your Italian translator! XD

I guess other languages will be real hard thing to see, as long as the English version is still missing a good number of voiced cutscenes of the Main Scenario quests.

I'd like launch something different: make the text and voice available in clear text and audio files in a directory, so every fan of the game can, alone or with a group, make it translated in its own language, just replacing that files. Only drawback, are the spoilers if you look at scripts, but it is up to you dig into them or not :)

Si el juego fuera traducido, supongo que será en un español de España por la estética del juego , tal como ocurrió con la traducción de inglés que es como muy teatral y muy al estilo británico/ isabelesco, que para jugadores como nosotros ese inglés es bastante difícil entenderlo y puedes estar horas dando vueltas por una zona sin entender que estas haciendo, incluso hablando bien el idioma.

I would actually prefer if everything was written in Old English prose. It would beat the weird mix of American English and "must needs" that we currently have...

Also, it's frankly bizarre that SE chose to translate the game into French and German rather than the second-most widely spoken language in the world.

I think... German had to be included due to some commerce laws right? But (we've talked about this many times on other 'please add Spanish' threads), I don't understand why Spanish wasn't included. That makes NO sense at all to me. :/

I dont think that another localization would be a good idea. I believe SE should focus their financial means to other sides of this game.

I think that number of people who cannot play this game due to bad knowledge of supported language is so small that allocating financial means to another localization would be a waste.
