I'm thinking since these FCs are hardcore all the way, I think it'll be about two to four months before the top FCs clear the new endgame stuff. Maybe less. Thoughts?

Levi will be cleared within a week.
The last turn of coil will be reached in two, three max.
Who can say when it will be beaten though.
Coil 6-9= 1 month ( and that's just to beat it, getting it on farm about 2 month)
Leviathan EX= 2 weeks tops
Just my guess!
T6-7 on release day.
T8-9 in 2~3 weeks maybe a month.
EX Levi prob a week maybe less.
Unless there is some crazy stupid mechanic like un-nerfed twisters, I think 4 months is a stretch. Look how quickly the extreme modes were downed?
True. I believe the <Pls> Raiders on my server cleared the EX primals within a week of them arriving.
I'm predicting:
Turns 6-7 and Leviathan Extreme within the first week.
Turn 8: 2-4 weeks after patch
Turn 9: 6-8 weeks after patch
EX primals were pugged in less than 2 weeks. Peeps will have Levi EX cleared before the walking dead finale on sunday night.
EX are different, they have low ilvl requirements, which makes it a simple test of endurance.
coil is different in that If you can't pass the gear check, there's a very small possibility of beating it.
It may take upto a month to do the higher coils simply from gear checks.
The upswing is, yoshi did say that's what crafted i90 is for. To get pass the gear check. But realistically who would pay for all that, we'll find out.
Leviathan/Moogle Ex - Less than 24 hours.
Turn 6 - As above.
Turn 7 - 2-3 days.
Turn 8 - 1 week
Turn 9 - 3 weeks
Anyone remember how long it took players to clear coil t1-t5 ? It'll be about the same rate if not faster unless there are crazy bug-like mechanics, etc.
HC players will clear Levi EX in 2 weeks.
i see only 3 turns available in the new patch notes? can someone confirm?
Coil2 T1
Coil2 T2
Coil2 T3
When servers open!
I dunno about all this perceived time sink here.
Surely with all the "no-lifers" that the community thinks we have, we are bound to have some group clear everything within the week... :P
Either we have "no-lifers" or we don't!
Seriously though, the problems with twisters on twintania in the past were called a error by the devs at some point I thought. I don't think they will repeat having a "impossible" mechanic to inflate the amount of time needed to clear the top raid.
450 soldiery cap vs 300 myth cap in 2.0 will speed things up quite a bit. Levi Ex will be dead in 3 days.
It wasn't an error, it was just amazingly hard to figure out, mostly because the top FC simply did not release what they knew about twisters.
Before the turn 5 exploit that shut down progress for 2 week. FCs were hinting "we have a possible way to beat twin". But it was kept hush hush.
Bascially worlds first did not so much involve mechanics as it involve keeping their ego down and their traps shut.
- Progression FC's won't even care about Leviathan (EX) until most of the Second Coil is beaten. It'll be a fight for i90 players but the progression FC's won't even bother with it until they've had their Second Coil fix.
- I predict Coil Turns 6, 7 will be completed the first day. World first FC's are going to be doing it non-stop. Leviathan will be beaten right after.
- Coil Turns 8 and 9 will take at least a month. I90 gear won't be good enough. There will be dps races, enrage timers, super death sentences, and accuracy problems. Those two turns may simply be impossible until you are ilvl 100-110.
What we can ask now is did Yoshi want to beat the living shit out of these guys or is he feeling nice? It's all up to him really.
BG defeated unnerf twisters. They were at 90% dodge rate so they claimed. And this is from "I think this is how twisters works".
If you QA something you knew exactly how it worked, it wouldn't be hard. Plus QA can instantly change their gear level i90 or test any phase of the fight separately.
I could beat twin if I had a QA machine and a straight hotline to the battle programer.
Too many egos here have shady memories of 2.0, should I requote the "Turn5 twisters" thread?
i am not going to make any guesses...partially because we have no idea what kind of mechanics are in store for us, and partially because i have a tendency to underestimate the tenacity of a human being.
Leviathan - 4-5 days.
Coil Complete clear - 14 days.
There is some severely optimistic numbers here. It took about 2 months or so for Twin to be taken down for the first time. Those players had to get very close to i90 before it could even happen. No matter what the final turns will require top end gear and that will take time.Especially if the dungeon drops are the main i110 option.
I think it'll be about 1 or 1.5 months if there is a health check. A big problem here is no i90 crafted accessories to vit stack to help progression like there originally was for fireballs. Which means everyone should focus on main armor before accessories first basically. Vitality gains will probably be more important if T9 has anything similar to fireball.

First Legit Twintania kill: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDJde_SZfNw
Before Twister nerf.
False. Blue Gartr was the first group to do it and the twister nerf was done right afterwards. They are the only group in the world with a legit pre-nerf kill.
The game was released on August 27th 2013. They got their first win Oct 26th. That's two months everyone. That's how long it took to get the first kill the last time around, and some people are legitimately saying 2 or 3 weeks here? I laugh at those numbers.
Leviathan Ex - Less than 24 hrs
6- Less than 24 hrs
7- 3 days
8- Less than 2 weeks
9- Around a month
Ah, ok. How did people clear it then before they "fixed" it?
On a unrelated note, I worked for SCEA in their FPQA team for a project. If we let something like that get into a game, I'm pretty sure our team wouldn't have been asked back for the next project... :P (Though I was done after one project anyway. I didn't like working eighty hours a week.)
But maybe pre-fix twisters were just really really hard and that's fine... It doesn't bother me any. I just thought that maybe only one group managed to kill it pre-fix. Which lead me to believe it was more than just being hard.
Actually their Twin kill video WAS NOT "legit". The last Dreadknight they get bugs out on them. The Paladin or Monk gets stunned by Twin but the Dreadknight just sits there for 20 entire seconds instead of one-shotting the stunned player like it was supposed to. Therefore no one got a legit kill before the Twister nerf.
Nothing against BG just saying they got their kill with a bugged out Dreadknight.
Getting a bit ahead of ourselves, aren't we?
The servers aren't even up yet and there's this convo about clear expectations. For all we know, there could be a fat trany at the end of turn 6 that demands a happy ending.
Theres some people out there with the "ties that bind" achievement dated well before Blue Gartr's. Coincidentally, it was right around the first time twin was taken down for "maintenance".
