No weekly lockouts, it won't be as bad as you think
yes it's only t1-5 they will be easier to beat (yoshi said you could take like 2 lasers and laugh at them) since the ilvl increase seems like its going to be quite immense plus craftable higher lvl gear.
Oh this is going to be fun, any item anyone missed from any turn can be farmed (I'm looking at you T4). Also, inb4, WTS T5 2m, PST. (Loot is yours of course).
i think this will be a good move on SE part.they should remove the gear limit on CT too (or change it to one drop per class) btw.
there will be also buffs to make turns easier, you need to clear turn 5 in order to unlock the next coils.
a step in the right direction. everything should be in df as far as im concerned so you can get practice runs.
guess people that were screaming no coils for df got told hard.
also jp players complaining about lag and titan ex knock outs from ring. yoshi : "learn the rotation".

This is great. Eventually it will be CT difficulty so everyone can progress to the new BC content.

How about gear that never dropped actually drop? The only bad I see out of this is people attempting to sell runs again. Other than that, it's good for the community.
People will get acquainted with how endgame content like Coil "is". Even with the nerf to it, they can see how it is supposed to work.
No lockouts for 1-5.
They're going to keep it the way it is for 6+ and also have new tomes. Also have to beat T5 to move on, which is fine. CT lockout kinda pointless now though.
Except I never asked for Coil's lockout to be removed, because I know why lockouts are there in the first place.
That said, so they're basically nerfing 1-5 since 6-9 will be the current tier. I have no qualms with that. I just hope I don't see anyone crying about their time spent farming turns 1-5 or something.
Problem with nerfing it is people won't have the "Yes we finally did it!" That you get from finishing a turn you were trying for ages to get. I know it's to allow more people to access content which I think is great but hopefully they don't make it a FaceRoll.
Working on T5 just now so hopefully pass it before the nerf.
Ill will have that finally feeling. Keep in mind that most players wont know about the nerf aside from hearing it from their fc mates and anyone who wanted to bring their achievement down.
But I know when i kill it, it wont have been at its best. That is fine by me.

It's why a lot of us are upset about the direction of the game. Where's the fun in basically living from patch to patch, where everything you "worked" for becomes meaningless after 1 patch? XI was a huge success for years because it didn't do that, it added new content to give players lots of options and it was fun because of that in spite of it being at times, an overly difficult game.
Here we have the opposite - a mostly better made game that just throws out old content. So much for the "theme park" aspect - it's not really a theme park if only the newest rides are worth trying out.
I appreciate that. I just don't want them to make it ridiculously easy so players are disappointed by the lack of challenge.
I remember spending ages trying to get my Darklight and being proud when I got full DL. Now I can gear a job in a day. Cuts out the fun I had before for newer players but maybe I'm wrong.
It's just moving the goalposts, i90 will become the new i70, 6-9 will become the new 1-5. Therefore people will complain about 6-9 lockouts, and the lack of DF for 6-9. 1-5 will be a faceroll by the looks of things so its just all part of the parcel of nerfing old content.
People didn't want the DF added until it was nerfed as old content, which is what is going to happen.
1-4 is already faceroll. Except maybe 2 if you don't enrage it.
I really love the direction they're taking with this game. It gives everyone a chance. It's coming from someone who has his character fully decked in 90s (even Allagan weapon) and the hardcore players still enjoy what they like best: Doing the cool stuff before everyone does it.
But they also let lower level players join in the fun eventually. I think if any game'll succeed this one will.. I'm sure people who think their time spent on being the best have been wasted will leave (hell, 3 from my static has said they'll quit over this), but on the other hand this will attract new people. New players= fresh life to the game, more subs.. And those new people aren't missing out on anything, because of the lockout removal.
Each turn will have it's own entry in the Duty Finder and can be completed in any order with no restrictions.
Loot however is still up in the air. I suspect they will have a 1 item lockout per turn.
I've received mixed responses from this, but most are happy that lockouts are removed. But usually the most elite of the most elite would say something along the lines of "So we've spent our time being the best, keeping up to be the best for nothing? gg se"
Now, if that situation actually happened in the real world.. I'm thinking stuff like internet. You used to pay $100 a month for dial up and now your kids get fiber optic with half the price? I've wasted 10 years of my life!
Then again, i kind of understand the feeling of those who has tried their best just to sort of "keep up", because I try to do that too. Winning new bosses within 1 week of release, not missing out on loot of any kind.. hard world eh
Mixed responses from friends and FC mates, some love it, some hate it. But hey, the more accessible it is, the more players that will get to experience it. The only thing I'm wondering about is T3, I have a feeling the Q's for that is gonna be extremely low. lol.
Don't know why anyone would complain, it was obvious this would happen from the start because Yoshi said, "We'll nerf old content as new content comes out."
Now it will be easy to farm i90 but that'll mean nothing when the new Turns have like i100.
This is ridiculous. The lag in this game since 2.1 makes some instances unplayable. Titan EX is probably the one affected by this the most and they act like it's our fault. I know the damn rotation for TitanEx. This is the only game where I get lag that makes some of the game unplayable.
T3 Spiritbond runs! I'm quite sure the entire coil will be bustling with people, instead of dying. Even T3, I'm sure there are story and completion enthusiasts. It's an FF game man, people play it for those stuff
have fun with that, i would rather die in a fire than experience t4/5 thru the duty finder
