With the virus immunity in 2.1... would whatever you're talking about still work ?
Twintania never required Virus, it's just helpful to mitigate damage.
Intelligent use of cooldowns, stoneskin/adlo, or even tank swapping provides more than enough mitigation.
Don't let virus run out and you won't give her the antibody since casting virus again resets timer.
Chances of this working will be difficult but better than nothing.

AND REMOVAL OF ROD. Amnd i been curious... does the one that call for adjust even been to turn 4-5?
dont forget abour the Brd RoD nerf , PLDx2 means u lose -10% dmg (warrior)
pld , war, whm , sch , blm, 3 mnks , the problem is how Limit break nerf will work...maybe u wont have enough LB for snakes with that setup ....

To answer, no, it is not doable now, it is now entirely impossible. Not a single group will clear turn 5 post 2.1.
To think it's not doable is silly.
I imagine warriors might be the better tank for Twintania now. Since Death Sentence is on a timer there's nothing stopping them from hitting Inner Beast for that 20% damage reduction when they know it's coming.
That is wrong way. They are FORCING people to invite WAR. Forcing people to play a certain style NEVER WRONG.
There's more ways to mitigate damage than just virus and RoD. The other ways will just be used more frequently. I might actually use Eos now...
It is free will. And it is SE fault for designing boss fight where stacking Bard is ideal ala Titan. People will adapt their old style as much as possible without good incentive. Remember how they try to nerf speed run? People adapted to different speed run style.
They are not forcing anyone to bring a WAR to there party. The abilities they bring to the table are not a necessity, but defiantly helps. Each job has their strengths, being a diverse party is better than stacking jobs for the greater potential or even build LB faster. I'm sure there will still be groups who will continue to run content w/ PLDx2, though it may not be the most effective, it remains doable.
Actually, a WAR will provide more than just the 10% dmg debuff. He will also be the fifth dps which will be very useful for all the dps check phases. He will surely make things a lot easier in T5 but it's still doable with 2 PLD. Just like how T2 is doable without a bard. No one is forcing you to bring a WAR along.
Yes, they ARE forcing people to bring War to coil. Well, no physical force but they are using "suggestion" to made it more favorable by REMOVING a "support" utility from a class, which they claim to be a part support role. Never before i seen an ability completely change form one to another.
Only thing i don't agree with about WAR debuff is that it reduces the targets damage by 10% meaning both Physical/Magical while PLD only decreases the target's STR(Physical) by 10%. If there is ever a case where single tanking is the optimal path and the boss mainly uses magical-aspect'd attacks, WAR would be superior in that instance.
Will really have to wait till tomorrow to see how it works out. But PLD have much more damage mitigating skills on hand than WAR still. And with this debuff from a WAR OT it'll be even better for a PLD if he's MTing.
