I really dont understand why SE would make materia given from quest...seriously that was one of the only forms of legitimate gil.
Not sure if the questline is repeatable but with the massive amount of people that can now gain them from a quest i fear materia too will go the way of gear. :( Now this doesnt effect Vit or Piety but all the other major IV ones.
I just dont understand SE anymore.
Edit: This quest is not repeatable or doesnt seem to be currently.
Edit: Spiritbonding rate has been increased for I55 level items.
Edit: Yes the market was going down but these changes dramaticly affect it. Overall I worry about the economy, those on my sever know I host events where I provide gil to winers every month or so(Christmas event coming up look out). Its not my personal gil im worried about its the overall effect this will have on the game. But I respectfully understand if people dont feel the same.

Well, that's good, it's more for people on new worlds - Many of us legacy had tons of cracked IV materia which is the only reason it was inflated to begin with, because spiritbonding aside, once the supply ran low prices started to skyrocket.

It looks like these are main scenario quests. The price may tank during the initial rush, but I'm sure it will stabilize in a few weeks.

Actually with the PVP gear being meldable, the materia supply from these quests will be gone fairly quickly. I was hoping for an increase in prices, but since they are also increasing the conversion rate I imagine (in the long run) prices will stay the same.

Materia prices were going to drop even without these two one time only story quests. ilvl 70 2-star gear will be SBable in CT and those guarantee level 4 materia.

Before this acquiring materia was a massive pain in the ass. Spend 100k that was already hard to get in the first place with no way of getting besides falling asleep doing the same instance a 500th time. I understand you were using this to make gil, but it shouldn't be such a chore to get such a standard item.

Ilvl 70 is no longer going to be the only items worth melding. We will see an increase in demand; we will also see an increase in supply. Where it will all shake out; I do not know, but I am not overly concerned about it.
