I really dont understand why SE would make materia given from quest...seriously that was one of the only forms of legitimate gil.
Not sure if the questline is repeatable but with the massive amount of people that can now gain them from a quest i fear materia too will go the way of gear. Now this doesnt effect Vit or Piety but all the other major IV ones.
I just dont understand SE anymore.

Edit: This quest is not repeatable or doesnt seem to be currently.

Edit: Spiritbonding rate has been increased for I55 level items.

Edit: Yes the market was going down but these changes dramaticly affect it. Overall I worry about the economy, those on my sever know I host events where I provide gil to winers every month or so(Christmas event coming up look out). Its not my personal gil im worried about its the overall effect this will have on the game. But I respectfully understand if people dont feel the same.

Not sure Bismarck materia from spiritbinding has also been increased in the patch notes.
Now some of us have massive amount of gil already. But i fear the direction this is possibly heading for an already shaky economy.

Well, that's good, it's more for people on new worlds - Many of us legacy had tons of cracked IV materia which is the only reason it was inflated to begin with, because spiritbonding aside, once the supply ran low prices started to skyrocket.

They were thinking that a non-repeatable quest that awards a couple tier 4 materia isn't going to break anything and it'll help get people started on endgame melds (or put a few more gils in their pocketses).

Are they right? I don't know, and neither do you. We'll have to wait and see.

Not only this but IV materia convert chances have been increased. The reason materia IV was so high was because the chance of getting and item from i55 equipment was very low but now I50-i55 gear gives IV plus increased chance. So that along with quest means materia income will take a huge dive.

It looks like these are main scenario quests. The price may tank during the initial rush, but I'm sure it will stabilize in a few weeks.
