DF Lockout needs to be adjusted/looked at/reviewed

Prime example. Garuda bonus window is up.
Someone has a PF group up for Garuda.
Couple of us join but it's not a full party. Party leader closes PF and ques group up.
Party leader receives a tell, he invites the person into the group.

Party makeup has changed. Your registration is withdrawn.

Why am I locked out of DF for 30 minutes?
I thought it was 3 strikes withdrawing when the que had popped! That's 30 minutes of the bonus window GONE! Through no fault of my own! How was this a good idea?

Clarification on what happened:
Let me put it more clearly since some ppl in this thread are incredibly vindictive and horrible human beings.

Party leader closed PF and qued us. He received a tell, he sent an invite to the person who I will refer to as person A who sent him the tell. Person A DID NOT accept the invite right away. The que had popped and it was only then that Person A accepted the invitation, forcing us to withdraw not of our own will and locking us out!

I deserve to be punished? Not only did I not know that the party leader received the tell and invited Person A, I had no idea Person A would accept the invitation so late, nor did I have any idea that the party leader may have already had strikes against him! Why must I even be worrying about this IN THE FIRST PLACE!

But lo and behold! I deserve to be punished for something out of my control.

You don't get penalty for the before the queue pop. If the queue popped then party leader has no business changing the composition. Click commence and go. The train is leaving the station. Aborting at that point deservedly earns those complicit in this bad behavior a strike and/or penalty on the 3rd strike. Tell your party leader to behave better or don't party with them. This is working great as it should.

What sort of an attitude is this? If 1 kid in a class is behaving badly the entire class should be punished? I seriously question what sort of person you are....

Actually that is how many Asian schools operate and strangely enough they don't have the behavior problems you get in the U.S. like those schools in south central in the LAUSD.

BTW even in the U.S. football coaches have been known to do this to great effect. It gets the group together to straighten out the people that are causing problems. And an extreme example of such the what the Roman legions did when they lost their battles, they had to execute one of every 10 in the squad which leads to the root meaning of the word decimate.

I very much like and agree with SE on this. Best QOL fix in 2.4 by far:

It's a terrible idea and there's pretty much no good reason to do it this way.

This is a game you pay for, you don't collectively punish your paying customers for the actions of others without good reason. This is not good reason.

If you are queuing alone, you earn the penalty by yourself. If you and your misbehaving brat boys want to misbehave in your partially formed party, you all get to earn the penalty together, just like the cops will haul all of you off to jail for getting into a drunken brawl at a bar. You don't get to turn a blind eye or deaf ear to your friends bad behavior, nor do they to you. You are to hold each other accountable and behave properly and not look to abuse other players using the DF.

And is it really that hard to not withdraw 3 times? And the penalty is too light at 30 minutes after screwing around 3 times. It was working good the first couple days, no withdraws whatsoever, but by yesterday you were getting multiple withdraws when the queue pops.

30 minutes of my time is gone! 30 minutes that I had wanted to spend light farming because YES the bonus window is INDEED going away and limited gone through NO FAULT of my own!
How is this in any way fair?!
Add to the fact that this isn't even explained in depth IN GAME!

It is your fault for not holding your friend accountable. My FC member did this once, I immediately lectured all of them. No one got the penalty since. You got to hold people accountable for proper decorum and behavior.

It's unfortunate that some players might get an undeserved penalty (how does one wind up the victim 3+ times in one day, anyway?), but even if it's just the PF-leader being ridiculous, the system is doing its job by protecting other players from having their time wasted by your fail party.

You'd probably appreciate the lockout if you could recognize when you saved time by having obstructive parties blocked from your own queue.
