No misses reported in t10 at 519 acc tonight.
judging how previous turns increased accuracy threshold by about 10 per turn, flank acc for T10 should be around 500, 519 is overkill for T11 even. XD but of course speculations.
lol i know it was a quick gear change for t10 :p likely lower
Not sure if you guys are mistaking "reduced animation lock" for shorter animations because the animation remains the same.
They didn't shorten the actual animation but you are able to move as soon as your character touches the ground while part of the animation plays while you're moving. Previously you'd be stuck to the ground briefly after landing. They shortened the amount of time you get locked into place after using a jump, very noticeable if you hold a direction as soon as you're about to land.
Sadly you aren't able to use any additional skills while the animation is playing so the issue of jumps cutting into the next GCD skill slightly is still present.
im 508 acc and no misses t10 going back in tomorrow
Could anybody give me some advice? Which are the best cross skills for my dragoon, and what lv/job is required?
I don't mind, but if dragoons jump skills are based one a 3 meter gauge charge up skill, the jump frontal cone distance will increase base on the level of charge, can be glyph/talented into dealing aoe damage with cursor, and other effects.
that would save about 5 seconds of a level 3 1-2-3 chain combos.
Full thrust - the dragoon will just keep advancing and piercing anything caught in the way, cannot be canceled multiple hits, last about 4-5 seconds.
From 2 pages back, or so.
Some use Foresight, instead of mantra, but welp.. yeah. Neither will make a difference to your DPS. As for when you get them.. just pop over to xivdb, or somewhere to check.Quote:
MS, 2nd Wind, IR, Bloodbath, Mantra are my current 5 X class
The time it takes from pressing the button till you can dodge is roughly 2s for jump and roughly 1 sec for spineshatter and dragonfire, not sure why you think its 0, its clearly not. That would mean you could dodge while being in the air.
NINs assassinate is a little bit shorter than jump at the very least imo.
Turn 10 no misses at 506.
Missed in T10 at 491 accuracy. Cleared it though and got choker of slaying. Sexy, Sexy choker. Now I need more accuracy!
Whats the view on..

How do you folks generally go about handling the adds on turn 10?
Ok we need some drg parses under similar conditions to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5lTcltM_Uo
Yeah. It's looking like Ninjas are right up there with Monks now or a bit lower, but then add the utility they bring, and Dragoons get shafted as a melee class. Awesome.
yeah my friend was pulling 400 with ninja without buffs just for the lulz. Making me switch to either ninja or monk soon just to progress through coil faster
That was from this right?

So what do you guys think? will ninja put us out of a job? That 10% buff for 10sec every minute and goad just seems like such good utility on top of doing really high dps numbers. I'm considering jumping ship...
I compared my NIN and DRG solo and the difference was about 13 DPS. Granted, I messed up on the last combo on my drg because I somehow didn't hit flank for the buff.
My DRG is pre-2.4(2.35/8?) bis for t9-flank acc(H.A. weapon on both jobs; no nexus) and my NIN is only i107 with 2 str rings instead of dex.(Didn't have any at the time I compared.) I'm 100% positive that in solo situations when my nin is as geared as my DRG I will out DPS it, no question.
I question if in a party situation a DRG would be lower than NIN considering if a NIN and DRG are in a pt together DRG will then also get the benefit of that 10% dmg taken debuff.
Also man does NIN manage TP so much better than DRG.
Honestly I'd say jump ship if you just want to try something different. It's much more fast paced than DRG is so keep that in mind but, switching from DRG to NIN definitely wouldn't hurt a raid group in any way.
Personally for final coil I'm going NIN main just to change things up, but come 3.0 I will most likely be switching back to DRG.
Unless Samurai comes out and it is a dps. . .Then I'll be saying goodbye to DRG. XD
Well I wouldn't say that NIN will put DRG out of job. especially if there is a bard in the party - that constant DPS increase for bard from piercing resistance. especially taking into account fights with a lot of movement - melee can never utilize full potential, where as bard can have 100% up-time at which moment the disembowel becomes even more important. Ad bard TP song still beats goad.
In general I'd say that all classes are quite well balanced and it really depends on the party setup. I doubt that difference in real battle situations between equally leveled and skilled monk, nin, drg is all that much different.
But it is and the higher the ilvl goes the bigger the difference is going to get.
Well, considering Ninja parse near, and above monks it would seem (Someone already put up a rotation video with 520...) Dragoon may be less common since NIN can offer burst, sustain, and utility. I pray Heavensward helps Dragoons out...
EDIT: I also wonder if DRG is going to get another slight potency upgrade on jumps, or if they'll sneak it into skills this time...
I can see them buffing DRGs directly this time, but not nerfing any of the others.
I would assume this would happen before 3.0.
Yup. The only way to make DRG's favorable as a DPS option alongside NIN and MNK with their lower DPS, IMO, is to make them tanky. Give them a boost to M.DEF so we're the "tanky DPS" Job that is always associated with DRGs in FF games. Because other than resilience to mechanics, we can never out DPS MNKs and NINs. If they do decide to buff up our damage, IMO it has to be at least +50 potency to either the ID combo or the FT combo. Though if we do became the most broken-ass OP mofo in Heavensward because all of the Dragoon-focused story, this pain is worth bearing until then.
I spent a couple mil on this 4 melded, then beat t11 the same night and got the dreadwyrm helm... lol
lol people are reading way too far into this guys post, 520 dps over 3 min isnt amazing, his crit rate for his 2 highest damage skills were 67% and 50%...
With a few tries to get that high a crit rate on our most potent skills we could easily do alot more on a dummy over 3 min
I don't think making DRG a "tanky" job is the answer, especially since 3.0 will introduce another tank to the game (one that is presumably more magic based compared to PLD/WAR).
Personally, Personally, rather than an increase in the potency of the ID or FT combo, I instead want to see the PS + Jump to be more synchronized and be usable more often. I think being able to do a PS/Jump, Jump, PS/Jump within our rotation would be a better alternative.
I have been looking over 2.4 BiS, am i the only one slightly concerned that the complete lack of ss will actually mess up our rotations/ lower dps. i have never been a fan of ss but 341 ss is low as hell...
Ok I haven't read all the pages here, but did anyone mention that DRG can offer a 10% damage buff to bards?
IMHO that 10% should be taken into account and added to the DRG total dps before comparing it to NIN and MNK.
Hi guys,
I jus recently started playing again after a very long time. Last thing i did was beat Titan hm, Looking for a very basic outline, whats the best things i should be doing to get ilvl up and progress main story etc...
I have been running Syrcus Tower and got Guardians armguards. Should i just keep running that for the other drg drops and spend the tomes on upgrading my accessories?
Seems every time i do it someone new hasnt done it before so getting the bonus 50 tomes aswel.
I have Relic Zenith but reading on the upgrade path seems id be better off focusing my time on other things.
My current gear http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...racter/3339178
Buffing bards is no excuse. The three melee dps should be within 1% of each other dps wise.
Picking one over another should be no different than picking a flavor of icecream.
