Turn Castrum Meridianum and Praetorium into solo duties. Just so we can stop seeing the same thread about them pop up every other week.
Turn Castrum Meridianum and Praetorium into solo duties. Just so we can stop seeing the same thread about them pop up every other week.
A hard rock/heavy metal soundtrack, but I know we will get more orchestra with some pop-esque tracks.
White and black energy of red Mage fill faster....i hope
An actual fix for our inventory issue. Every expansion we dig ourselves further into this hole and I get it, from SE's point of view they already have solved the issue....for a modest increase to your sub that is....
Dyeable Amatsu set. Tenzen's armor- dyeable, too. Male Miqo'te blackened ears toggle for every hairstyle. Emet-Selch.
I just want one simple thing. Bagpipes for a Bard. The music system in this game is by far my favorite mechanic in this game. I love finding new ways to captivate people with music and bagpipes are my favorite instrument in the world. I feel like it would help add even more character to people that choose to express themselves via music in this game.
BLU to share the same lvl cap as all other jobs so I dont have to keep 1 set of lower level gear just for it. Let it go into things like Eureka or Bozjan Southern Front that are essentially just another open zone rather than a normal duty so I can take it to the Bozjan Southern front and spam choco meteor on Red Comet...
8 player raids to be more like Coils of Bahamut. Those felt more like an actual raid duty where as our more recent ones have been little more than another set of 8 player trial type boss battles with some story tossed in.
Hrothgar female release in 6.1 or 6.2
*cries in Viera hairstyles*
I'll never understand this mindset. Why should we force players who have no vested interest in Savage content into it simply to experience the story? They cater towards two entirely different demographics. Furthermore, this wouldn't incentivize players any more than Delubrum Reginae does. When players whose interest don't match the content they're being forced into, they'll do the barest of minimums to get through it so they can actually reach their objective. All locking story behind Savage does is make PF worse. Not to mention they can just go to youtube and watch the story.
And we still get complaints on here from people that can't clear the solo duty content because even by the time they've gotten to the end of shadowbringers they haven't figured out they shouldn't stand in the giant glowing spot on the floor when the enemy stops to charge an attack. (Though to be fair if you do those as a tank it feels like the only way to fail is to fall asleep and have the timer run out because stuff don't really seem to do any noticeable damage to you even if you do stand in the poo lol.)
I guess a wish would be to have them no longer nerf duties to make them easier when people complain on here about not being able to clear it. Most of these tend to be duties with a number of basic game mechanics in them to follow and less about gear and ilvl.
Alot of the story duties at the launch of the later expansions feel like they were designed just to be like a review or refresher of game mechanics. A design I actually am fine with as I'm sure alot of people hitting that content when it drops probably haven't played the game in a long time and came back the check out the new story.
House four everyone
Make like it is right now but have instanced house for those who cant secure a plot, being instanced i woulnt be as limited
More cross character stuff
Like a bank, shared glamour dresser, etc
Player home shared automatically with all characters you have on that same world and a special shared vault that all your characters on a given world have access to. They give us multiple character slots but lack of things like that makes it feel like they don't want you to use them. I don't even recall an easy way to mail things to your alts unless they changed that at some point.
I also want more fluffy/cute gear and outfits that aren't parts of a mascot costume.
And... toilets because my poor character has been holding it for years!!!!
I actually like this idea. I realize it's not a simple task for them to go back and remake every single dungeon and trial to be Trust compatible. But, in this pair of cases, it would actually be a really good use of resources. The way they are right now doesn't really work for or please anyone except those wanting to get XP for basically sleeping at their keyboard for 45 minutes.
The thing is, that usually they can stand in the giant glowing spot on the floor.
What bothers me about this the most is that it makes me feel like a complete idiot for actually doing the mechanics.
In Doma Castle recently for example the BLM that got the bomb mark every time didn't move an inch and was up in melee range, I was literally the *only* person that moved away.
What happened?
People took like 60% of their health or something and the healer just healed everyone up instantly.
Like I was just standing there in the corner by myself trying to actually do the mechanic and no one else did anything, and I was the one made to feel like a moron.
A lot of the mechanics are simply too forgiving, they either barely deal any damage or they don't deal enough to be a genuine threat worth thinking about.
When you feel like an idiot for actually doing the mechanics there is something wrong.
There are exceptions to this, but they're rare.
I would like to see more work done for FC's. It's amazing how neglected they've been, especially anyone who has a FC lead position will realize just how limited they are. It's 2021 and there isn't even a way to see what date a member joined your FC, since the activity tab gets flooded too fast. I'd like to see:
-In game Event Calendars. I have no idea why this isn't a thing yet.
-The ability to limit how many stacks/items a member may withdraw from the Company Chest. Giving members access to either nothing whatsoever or the entire tab is a crazy system.
-A Gil withdrawal limit. So if an officer gets hacked or does a runner and they had access, they can't empty the entire bank.
-The ability to view Date Joined for promotions and such.
-Airships/Subs being less worthless. They're often a lot of work for a pittance in low value materials. They've also been giving away the rare minions like candy within a patch or two, why bother working for Shark minions and Abroader Otters when they'll just be bunged into the next lockbox and crash to 10-20k.
-A Weekly FC log with rewards for completing X amount of dungeons, raids, ect in an FC group. Give FC members a reason to group together.
-Perhaps even a Mount for completing all raids and trials in an expansion on EX/Savage and synched (Echo allowed so nothing insane but makes a nice FC project).
I know there's the whole "but players will feel forced into an FC for x reason!" nonsense, but it's a social MMO. FC's should be encouraged.
At the very least, a straight up reward of gil as part of the resources earned would be an excellent addition. Anywhere between ten to twenty five thousand per voyage on average.
You can already earn that much by doing a couple of quick daily roulettes, which reset every twenty four hours. Assuming a submarine takes twenty four hours on average to return from a voyage I feel it would be suitably balanced.
I have a lot of wish, but a big one of mine that shall never happen :
A feature similar to Guild wars 2 and Swtor i think.
The option that i loved in both those games was the fact that i could play the solo storyline with my friends from the beginning to the ending, we could even go in those instanced zones together and never had to separate from eachother in order to experience the story or to enter our own instance version.
I know that it will never happen (this kind of work would have worked only if done at the beginning of the creation of the game) but i would have loved to do the main story quest with friends in all of it's entirety, even up to the job quests and fighting opponents like fray together.
That Nordvrant gets rolled back a few expansions and instead everything in Shadowbringers happend on Meracydia and the remains of the fractured southern emisphere.
Much more sense that the cristal tower were indeed the upper end of Hydaelyn itself, connecting to the core and piercing it through the other side as Zodiark, thus the polarity of aether would also be related to north and south emisphere. And we just skip the nonsensical dimension jumping multiverse time looper plot that helps no one. Really multiverse theory has been done to exhaustion by now and Shadowbringers is so bad. Specially considering how cool of a world Hydaelyn actually is.
It feels so jarring, so out of place, so unimportant. I just wish i could forget all about Nordvrant nothing about it stands as interesting or deep, only nonsesical anime tropes one after another.
Addition of high demand gil sinks. The amount of gil being created by player activity is exponentially higher than the things actually deleting it from circulation. The 2 primary ones atm are teleport fees and market board tax. However the impact of this is about like putting a penny in a donation box for a charity. They need to add NPC based things where the money is paid directly into the game rather than mostly given to another player. This would require things like NPC vendors selling non tradable/marketable items such as highly desirable consumables people will buy regularly along with expensive 1 time purchases with price points similar to that mount in Eulmore. Another option that would atleast take a notch out of another complaint would be to add an alternative housing option to the residential zones by letting players and FC's purchase a housing style airship instead that can then be modified and upgraded through transactions with ironworks NPCs. The idea would make these a much larger gil sink than the current housing. However in idea form anyway the airship would have easier accessibility either by letting players disembark where they choose or possibly let them choose what zone they want to station at. They could also exempt the airships from the demolition queue since it would essentially be the single instance housing people have been asking for and as such not as finite a resource as the current plots system.
Replace NIN Hyoton (which only ever gets used when you're level synced down and forget that you don't have Hyosho Ranryu) with a rez (let's call it Kuchiyose: Edo Tense).
Rather than being balanced around mana, it would be balanced around limited mudra charges. A rez wouldn't alter fight balance at all, and I like utility on my DPS where I can get it.
1) If level 50 or below 50 duties will be taking vast majority of roulette content, I'd like to see level 50 rotations or skills get some love.
Its so horribly boring doing Crystal tower when some jobs have only 3 skills to press and some cooldowns.. but I can already see them remove sub-50 skills to make room for 90 skills =(
Not to mention give Melee Area-of-effect skills early on!! Having 2 Dragoons/Lancers in party shouldnt fill you with sense of dread and sigh! It should make you feel great to help people while doing fast run. This cant be balance issue because Dancer has 1000 potency dance skill in satasha!
2) Vastly buff alliance raid rewards (xp, gil) for: The Weeping City of Mhach • Dun Scaith (no void ark, thats too easy just takes bit longer than crystal tower) & The Ridorana Lighthouse • The Orbonne Monastery & Later Nier raids.
Crystal Tower is too fast and gives amazing XP because of roulette. People literally queue naked so they wont get "hard and long duties" and thats just sad
Nowadays that they have the coffers that can give out loot dependent of current class...
Replacing Alliance Raid loot with said coffers.
It would take care two things at once... They've said they wanted people to just bring in whatever class and still be able to get loot they want, that was the reason for that whole Greed only fiasco from Stormblood times.
And secondly, you no longer need to get lucky to have the boss drop the correct classes loot for you to get a chance at rolling for it.
The level of burnout from running an alliance raid 5 times a day, for multiple days, because of the raid just refusing to drop tank gear is not fun.
We get another 10 glamour plates, and the glamour chest changes to:
- Allow me to browse all the gear in the game and use them to make glams (but not save them unless I have all the gear)
- Function like a giant gear checklist
- Has no gear limit
- Tells me where I can find my missing gear
Make all raids use a single token type instead of having a different token for different gear slots. This IMO makes even less sense since the amounts aren't even the same for each slot. You have accessories and belts only needing 1 of their tokens. Chest and leg armor requiring 4 of their unique token then everything else using 2 of their own unique token. Just have 1 token type for each raid tier and keep the quantities instead of eating player inventory with excessive clutter.
Healers will be given the care they deserve, and they will be made fun jobs again. Won't happen though.
Update to the character creator. Some of the colors on the palette don't match what is shown on hair etc
A system that automatically adds another residential ward each time the last one sells out of a certain type of plot (small, medium, large).
That my Love Emet Selch comes back and marry me. Oh and that I can slap Ryne and some others in the Face.
A full engine overhaul Q.Q I can dream...
Make Gun Breaker into a Cross-Role because I always wanted to be a Gunblade DPS.
But they crushed my dreams. :(
Hope we can do the relic without touching the Eureka/Bozja content with they said they were going to do for Shadowbringers but then went back on.
That they stop adding things on mog station and instead make it earnable in-game
1: More forgiving content or less mounts/outfits locked behind difficult content. Square cant provide servers that make them doable and not everyone has the ability to react in 0.001 second while 10000 things are going off on screen and trying to preform a proc based rotation. Nothing worse than not standing in a damage projection only to die from it because as of the last few patches people in New Zealand have gone from Excellent connections to poor. So too OP. No, there should not be more harder content, my sub moneys just as good as yours, there should be more rewarding content EVERYONE can do, not just the minority.
2: Housing for all. They managed it with 11, they managed it with apartment's, saying they cant is just making excuses to be cheap.
3: Fewer class buttons. I only have 2 hands and need to be able to see enemy attacks, not be focused on my bars for when Fan dance procs or my step gauge order.
Will probably not be very popular given the number of times people have cried over not being able to clear duties that involve performing game mechanics but...
An MSQ containing numerous solo duties that require the player to successfully complete mechanics to clear that will take players through every battle mechanic introduced so far in game. Solo duties that are super easy if you do the mechanics correctly and nearly impossible if you don't. That way even the people that skip potion their way to jumping straight into Endwalker will still have some experience with battle mechanics by the time they'd gotten into endgame. Some people will complain that it's gating content, however I see as no different than requiring player's to improve their skill. It's no different IMO than a single player offline games that become more difficult as you reach later stages in the game.
Ear physics for Hrothgar and Viera! For those unaware, both races have 100% static ears, to the point they might as well have been horns, whereas Miqo ears bounce and wiggle with most of their emotes. Ear movement is a big factor to how animals express their emotions so it's a huge missed opportunity that 2 of the 3 animal races can't do it [time and resources constrains aside]. Probably won't happen for EW, or even whenever they overhaul both races' limitations, but it'd be nice.
A return to 4.0 healer builds. I HATE chain spamming Broil 10,000 times a week on SCH. The 5.0 healer changes have been one of the worst string of nerfs I've ever seen in any game.
I ask myself how they could possibly make things worse than they are now, but then I remember Yoshi is involved and I literally shudder in fear.
FF14 should ban the term homogenization from their design ethos for the health of this game. Diversity is interesting and often fun...no more sameness.
FF14 should not aim to be a weird parody from The Giver...
