Best Gear in Coil needs to end

Agree with OP, more variety is always the best choise.

And i think the gap of 6 months about 1 new high difficulty end content (Coil) is too much big... maybe CT could have some 8 people hi-difficulty end content as well, along with the 24 people content (mid-difficulty).
Or maybe the new dungeon recurring every patch (syrius, amdapor ruins, etc.) could become a really difficult one for 8 people with high-end equip drops (similar to weathered equip in potency). Also to avoid the continue (boring) farming of new tomestones everytime. Whereas for the 4 people content, hard version of old istances is enough imo.

I went through one static to get to the one I am in. That is 2 statics. When referring to more than one thing in the English language we use what is called a plural. In this case, instead of saying "static" we say "statics". Technically I was in 3 groups but it was part of the same LS so i don't count it. I think it would be a great idea to implement HM CT like they do with primals. Casuals could still enjoy CT and it would give hardcore players something to do. But then casual players would start complaining about that too. What a shame.

All you people saying he i110 gear should be obtainable outside of coil cuz it makes getting in easier don't know what you're talking about imo. Great, someone downs t6. Now what?
If people had a hard time with t6 cuz they needed to be overgeared how are they gunna deal with t7? How about t8? If you don't do that fight right the boss 1shots the whole group. Now amount of gear is going to save you from that. It'll just cause more frustration as people have a taste of victory only to fail at the harder turns. Best to stay out of coil if you can't learn imo.
It's funny cuz our group wiped on t7 this week but we 1shot t9. I like how t7 is the wall t2 used to be before people discovered enrage.

I don't think anyone is asking for things to be handed to them. People are just asking for more content at the high end. Not that that's stopped anyone frothing at the mouth and proclaiming that casuals are lazy and want handouts. It's pretty disgusting and a timely reminder of the bad attitude people have towards their fellow players. Fellow players who I might add, pay for end game content to be developed with their fees.

And nublord comes in completely missing the sarcasm of my post. Use that brain of yours just a little please.

Also, "I don't think anyone is asking for things to be handed to them". Are we reading the same forums sir? Because I see a lot to the contrary.

I'm really struggling to find any examples of people asking for handouts in this thread. If you find them, kindly quote them to substantiate your claim.

no they want the same quality equipment on another Raid the same difficulty as coil. is all about horizontal"ness" and variety. imagine if an 8 men Crystal tower version and coil were released simultaneously and they both drop the highest ilvl items , and both would be as hard. people would have more variety of content and gear ( 1 set for each dungeon + tome set ) i really dont know where people are reading that the op is asking for high gear on easy content.

My reply was to the argument that was going on. And people that talked about wanting coil gear available to people so they could handle coil. That is wanting same quality gear for easier content.

It's wanting alternatives so that they can experience the story content that's hidden behind an 8 player required skill and gear cap.

That would be a good idea. I once heard someone suggest that but then all the filthy casuals were all whining and saying you're not special for clearing coil before nerf and that no one cares and blah blah blah. So that's why I'm on the forums here. I'm here to complain just like those clowns.

You would think people would see the pattern by now but I'll explain it for everyone. This is how updates work in this game: Casual patch>hardcore patch>casual>hardcore and so on. This patch is more geared towards hardcore players. If noobs want more gear they can wait till CT. For now casual players can get soldiery gear and hardcore players get coil gear. It's still the same gear with lower ilevel, except for the fact it can't be dyed.

I have to agree with the design change in this patch and coil dropping top tier gear. Running a bunch of ilvl 55 dungeons and getting top tier i110 gear does not make any sense.

Top gear should be earned by beating the top tier content not running a bunch of easy dungeons a bunch of times. This gives players incentive to strive for beating the hardest content in the game and getting rewarded for it.

I think that one thing we can all agree on is that we want a broader spectrum of difficult endgame content. However, with the sheer amount of complaining that happened when 2.2 was released, I'm not exactly expecting it. What I do find amusing though, people seem to think that "casual" or "unskilled" players want powerful gear through easy content. I challenge that to where those people are probably more inclined to want non-combat based content such as crafting, gathering, gardening, housing, casino, ect.... you know the alternative fun things that curb the game from going stale.

I can assume most groups who beat T5 prior to echo nerf are on working on T6-9, most are probably working on 8 or 9 now.

This game IS Farmville- he actually asked for new and DIFFERENT content. You can't possibly make fun of Farmville while playing or enjoying this game.... not with a straight face, anyway.

I do not see the harm in adding in iLvl 110 for sol tomes at a slow rate. It worked fine in 2.0-2.1. I saw no complaining (except for Mr. Special Snowflake 3941 who wanted to feel super cool because he won at the weekly coil lottery every week and had his iLvl 90 gear after 2 months and started to cry over the fact that others had the same iLvl). I would be fine with this system if coil rewarded special tomes to everyone attending to get gear and not the stupid gear lottery. I seriously ran coil for every week for over half of 2.0 and 2.1 until I took a break. I got 2 drops during that time while I saw others doing coil their first week getting 3 drops. That is my issue with this system and why I think ilvl 110 should be buyable with tomes. To prevent RNG based character progress.

But before people did it for the glamor, and just beating which is still the case. Those who did coil before still are, those who didn't are just annoyed. I don't understand why these coil fanatics are against it. You still have your cool looking gear, and your more likely to play with people in better gear. You don't lose anything it helps every single person in the game by not making every single thing in this game about coil. There should be options not do coil or get out.

i dont have a problem with the best gear being in coil. what i have a problem with is it being gated behind T5. its reminiscent of the first 3 promyvions in chains of promathia. i didnt get to play most of the new content in cop till like 3 months after the expansion came out,and it could be the same deal here.

If you get soldiery gear for glamor then it makes no difference to you if its 100 or 110. If you want to upgrade it from 100 to 110 then do coil get oils and sands.

The problem with that is, if you can't do T5, you might get lucky with T6 but you'll have a hell of a time with t7. So it being gated is a good thing.

it's a direct continuation of the storyline from t5. it can't be unlinked.

It also makes no difference to you though if it's ilvl110 so why do you care so much if I have it?

Just as a point of correction, i100 SLD gear cannot be dyed. i110 upgraded gear can.

Really? That just wrecked my whole night lol. Se needs some serious help with armor and helping more people with options. Every armor should be dyeable
