Its still broken.
I wasn't expecting it to be fixed, but to have it not even show up in "known issues" was dissapointing not to say infuriating. Anyway, it's beyond clear they are just going to ignore until we go away. At this point, there are only three things we can do:
- Get the PC specs from someone without the issue and buy their exact same chipset model and motherboard they're using.
- Unsub and move on, there are many other great games to play out there.
- Stop seeking help from IT folks on this thread, because there is nothing we can do on our side to fix it. Instead, start looking for law people. I'm not going to pretend I understand law, but I'm pretty sure claiming your software works on hardware X, only for it to not work on X is false advertsing. I can't personally do anything about it since I don't live on NA/EU, but I'm sure you guys who live there can do something about it.
I wasn't planning on replacing hardware right in the middle of a global chip shortage, but since I was going to do it eventually I guess this calls for a change of plans.
So Elliah, you have my support for these ideas, if you need anything translated from/to Japanese, I can try to help too.
If you join discord, we could even create a discord server with more people to discuss that matters.
Or we could get in touch by e-mail or other method you prefer that.
Again, my discord is minopoki#6195 , if you don't know how to use it, just install the software, create a profile for you, and search for an option "Add a friend" to message me.
Anyway, I have other ideas to try to call SE attention to this, but I'll leave to a second post.
Patch 6.05. Sound is still broken. Im lvl 81 and not even completed first dungeon of the new expansion. (because im waiting for sound to be fixed.) Kinda want my money back for pre order of the game and sub, if thats not going to be fixed in the future.
Still broken, and not listed as a "Known Issue" in today's patch notes. Outrageous.
So, SE made the following social media posts, announcing the patch.
I say we could post replies complaining of the audio issue (I already did), in both English and Japanese pages. If many people post their complains there, we could hope it to make some difference.
Just be polite, and don't spam (one post per person should fine).

For the Japanese pages, I think it's ok to post it in English, or you could try using an auto translation (like this one) before posting, it doesn't matter that text sounds strange, they'll understand.
Or, if want to tell them something very specific, you could send to me and I could try to translate it.
Also, as we earlier discussed, it might be more effective to post bug reports to the Japanese forum instead of the English forums.
I'll come up for a way for people to do it, even if not understanding Japanese, and I'll post about it later.
