DCUO Sucks really bad, Rift is good but seems to be claimed a clone, Lego universe isn't even known about, if you think about it, didn't FFXIV win over DCUO and Lego? which is pretty impressive considering how bad FFXIV is suppose to be.

Kinda, if you notice some silly easy fixes we've been asking for ages still have not been added.
Look at the dev cloud you will notice Linkshell is prolly 3rd biggest? It was the first until people knew how to use dev tags, Yet there is still no mention of fixes to the LS system, we've been asking since release.
A lot of their plans seem to be already in their own mines. Not one person asked for 4-8 pt groups, im surprised people aint more angry about this, it isnt hard to get big groups in this game because theres lack of content everyone has to do same thing. But they adding it anyway.
They ruined Behast, no one asked or said that was hard, its always full in seconds, no need to be nerfed.
I think so far the only things they commented on was PVP and Gridania?
Exactly, it is not a failure until SE comes out and states the it, or the following:
"Due to the state of XIV and the very low population and popularity, SquarEnix has decided to shut down servers and pull XIV from the shelves. We apologize for those of you that are playing currently and we apologize to those that did not enjoy our game, but we cannot continue supporting this game, blah, blah, blah, etc, etc.
People, Failure is an end result. SE has not ended XIV yet.
A failure is APB, they shut their server down (went bankrupt (i think, correct me if i am wrong), but i am sure it would have been the same result)
It's like university, (or my take anyways), they failed the first test, but they haven't failed the class yet. The class ends when the shareholders tell them to shut it down because they are tired of losing money, or not making a lot of money.
SE right now is the student, frantically trying to bring his marks up in the class before the end of the semester.
APB is the student coming back and trying again. And they already have a following again. Lol, i guess i would have to say Mommy and Daddy stopped paying their tuition so they had to work for a few months to get the money back to enroll again :P

And, this is also on that page if ur too lazy to scroll down;
The PlayStation 3 release will be delayed until we are confident that the game has reached the level of enjoyability and service befitting the FINAL FANTASY name for users on all supported platforms. We offer our sincerest apologies to any fans anticipating the PlayStation 3 release, and humbly ask for your continued patience and understanding as both the development team and Square Enix as a whole strive towards making FINAL FANTASY XIV a truly enjoyable and unforgettable adventure.
First of all, I would like to apologize for our inability to fully satisfy our users with the initial release of FINAL FANTASY XIV. I take full responsibility for the game's current situation, and have therefore made the decision to step down from my role as producer. A number of concerns that have been voiced by users, such as the design of the user interface, availability of tutorials and game content, and battle system functionality, represent key issues that must be addressed. While improvements are already well underway in many areas, we were unfortunately not able to incorporate player feedback as quickly as we would have liked. We are aware, however, that in many cases, addressing these issues will call for a reworking of game elements. As these changes are our first priority, they will be commanding our full attention and efforts. It is to that end that we have put a new organizational structure into place for the development team. Under this new system, FINAL FANTASY XIV will see changes and additions in line with the desires and expectations of players. Though no longer producer, I will be continuing to support the development team in other capacities, and personally hope that you will continue your adventures in the realm of Eorzea.

All from lodestone.
The fact that is it on their agenda shows that they listened and strongly considered it. We can only trust how they prioritized it (for the best of FFXIV and its players)
If you think about it, LS management is definitely something great to have but it will not have a huge impact, example; so you can kick people now, but you haven't even capped the size (what if they include management when you capped?), so you capped the size, you reform (how often do you reform exactly?). It won't make a big difference in terms of experiencing FFXIV.
I'm in 3 LS's and respectively: 2 reforms + renames, 5 reforms, 3 reforms + rename. I've lost 2 LS's already as the cap hit in both and everyone kept quitting that people just left the LS's, these were @ the very start.
and many-many others are in the same boat.
The fact is, these are easy fixes that are not even acknowledged. Just goes to show how bad the development team are that they did not have this done in the first place.
