Punished by the game for being a Dragoon. (Magic defense and 2.4)

I've been trying to figure out why Ishgard hasn't won the war against the dragon horde. From the context of what npc's and main scenario suggest, i would say they are slowly bleeding to death!

Thanks WinterSolstice :p Well, unlike the other thread here : (http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ong.-Fix-it-SE), I wanted to only show the obvious part of dragoon's problems without any kind of debate between ninja / monk / dragoon lovers :) that's the reason why this thread is only about dragoon's poor magic defense.

The reason they have such high mdef is so they can survive outside of town with zero VIT from gear. Without it, you would see countless complaints about accidental/purposeful MPK of DoL jobs. "Dead" wouldn't be an accurate descriptor. You have a token amount of VIT.

You would be surprised how many DRGs I've seen do just that and pop BFB right before high-damage encounters.

Predictably, they're the ones who end up dead on the ground.
